11 '90s Hunks You Wished Were Your Middle School Boyfriend
Remember back when life was simple? Scrunchies were all the rage. Slap bracelets were something to swoon over. We stuck to our landlines like glue, and big hair was where it was at. Those were seriously the days. We loved our 90s fashion and material things, but even more, we got pretty excited about some pretty awesome hunks. We watched them after school or watched for TGI programs to air (we were totally cool with waiting all week, they really were that great). These dudes are still a reminder of the middle school BFs that we totally wished we had in real life. Join us as we remember a decade past in all its glory. These guys aren't just hunks, they're totally babe-a-licious, dreamy and steamy, and we've been pining over them since childhood. They made that big of an impression that we still can't forget them -- and really, why would we want to?
11 Zack from 'Saved By The Bell'
He had a phone. He had the looks (and the hair). And he had the charm. Zach Morris was a trifecta of middle school swoon-dom if there ever was one. We only wish we could have been so lucky as to have Zack copy off our science papers, or convince his BFF Jessie to teach him to dance just so he could impress us. Kelly was such a lucky girl. If we were her, we would have been all for Zach without a second thought. Of course, until Slater came along. But Zach still holds a number one place in our hearts.
10 Dougie Howser
Yeah, he was kind of young, but so were you! He was the perfect middle school boyfriend material. You would always have an excuse to play hooky with your adorable BF because he could write you your very own doctor's note. Kind of hard to argue with the doctor, after all. You could bypass your parents on this one (no need to fake sick) and have your day (or week) off with one of the cutest doctors of all time.
9 Steve From 'Full House'
He ate everything and could clean out the fridge like it was no one's business. Who needs a dog when they've got a boyfriend to eat everything gross? Besides, you would never be embarrassed to eat a big meal around him. He could take you to the state fair and win a stuffed animal with his contest-winning worthy talents. We're already impressed just thinking about the giant-sized teddy bear you'll end up with back home.
8 Stefan from 'Family Matters'
Stefan he was the dreamy guy next door you always dreamed about. Just ask Laura if you don't believe us. She fell hard for him and his smooth ways. And could that boy wear a suit or what? Pretty much he was the opposite of Steve Urkel, and we were super okay with that. In fact, we still are. We love you Steve, but Stefan is more boyfriend material.
7 Joey from 'Blossom'
Whoa is right. Between his hair and that catchphrase, our middle school selves found it pretty difficult to remember that Joey lived in our TV and wasn't real. He was the guy that we measured all others against and found they basically fell short. To every guy in our past: sorry but you had some serious competition.
6 Tommy from '3rd Rock From the Sun'
He was quirky and weird, and his family was out of this world… or used to be. Yet he still somehow made us fall for him, because Joseph Gordon-Levitt was so adorable with all that hair and teenage awkwardness. It was clear back then that he would grow up into the super gorgeous guy he is now. You showed us it was okay to be weird, Tommy, and we appreciate it.
5 Every Guy from 'Beverly Hills 90210'
There were so many hunks on this show, why should we have to choose just one? We would have been happy to have any of these guys as our middle school BF, from Brandon to Dylan to Steve to David.
4 Will Or Carlton from 'The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air'
Some girls were all about the smooth-talking troublemaker, and others just wanted a nice guy in a sweater vest. To each their own. Maybe you even were in love with both guys, which we totally think is fine. You got to watch them get into all kinds of trouble every single week and then there were those dance moves. If that doesn't define a middle school crush, we're not sure what does.
3 Michael J. Fox from 'Spin City'
He was the sweet older guy we all kind of liked, even if we wouldn't admit it. Maybe your parents watched this show. You might have even watched it in secret. But Michael J.Fox was the guy we all had a major crush on, along with his unexpectedly charming ways - it was like he wasn't even trying. Then he left the show (for a heartbreaking reason, of course) and was replaced by Charlie Sheen. That was pretty much one of the worst days our middle school selves would ever live through (until the next crisis happened, of course, which was probably the next day -- hey, junior high was a rough and dramatic time).
2 The Home Improvement Brothers
Tim Allen may have been the star of the show and is pretty much what people remember about it, but we just figured hey, he was the dad and he had to be there. But back in junior high, we watched the show because we couldn't help but crush on the three brothers. We loved that there were three of them so we could pick our favorite. Sure, it might have even changed day to day, episode to episode. You could choose the brother who had a personality like yours, the brother who was around your age, or whichever one you thought was better looking. Or maybe a mix of all three. Who said you couldn't have three middle school boyfriends (at least in your mind)? We're still super thankful for having three adorable brothers on one show.
1 Pacey from 'Dawson's Creek"
Dawson may have had an entire show named after him (and a creek, obviously) but in our opinion, Pacey was the real star of the series. Just look at him. Besides, who doesn't love a cute and absolutely hilarious, wise-cracking sidekick? They don't get the credit they deserve which means they need some extra attention from the audience in order to make the universe right again. But Pacey was always your favorite, and in your mind, he was already your boyfriend.
