13 Stars From The 90s Who Still Look Amazing Today

The 1980s was a very “kitschy” decade in terms of music and especially fashion. Hairsprayed bangs, shoulder pads, neon eyeshadow paired with bright red lipstick? Cringeworthy, for sure. Thank goodness the 1990s were a breath of fresh air. While the general theme of the '80s was outrageous and over-the-top everything, the '90s went back to basics as everyone went minimalistic in terms of style, music, TV shows, and movies.

From Wilson Phillips to Saved By the Bell to Beverly Hills 90210, we have our own wonderful memories of the '90s. Of course, what we remember the most is the way we fangirled over our favorite actors gracing the screens and our favorite singers in their latest music videos on MTV. There were a lot of great looking celebs back then and many of them still look great more than 20 years later, thanks to exercise, diet, and (occasionally) a trip to the plastic surgeon for a little botox.

    13 Jennifer Love Hewitt

For those who watched a lot of teen TV shows in the '90s, they'd probably known Jennifer Love Hewitt as Sarah in Party of Five, the TV show that made her a household name. And because of her newfound fame, she was given a starring role in the horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer in the late 1990s, a role for which she starred opposite Freddie Prinze, Jr. At 37 and a mother of two, Hewitt is as beautiful as ever.

    12 Katie Holmes

How can we forget eloquent and too smart-for-her-own good Joey Potter in the hit teen TV series Dawson's Creek? Katie Holmes played the beloved character who was constantly caught between her best friend Dawson and his best friend Pacey. Holmes sort of faded into obscurity in the 2000s, but immediately bounced back into the limelight when she married the much older Tom Cruise and had little Suri with him. Today, she's hot, single, and set to play the lovely Jackie Kennedy in the miniseries The Kennedys: After Camelot.

    11 Victoria Beckham

Among all the Spice Girls, Victoria Beckham (nee Adams) is probably the most famous one. Yes, she made it pretty big as Posh Spice in the all-girl pop group, but she has become more well known today as the wife of the one and only David Beckham, by whom she has four beautiful children, and a very accomplished fashion designer. It doesn't hurt that she has the name and funds to back her talent, but she's a renowned designer now nonetheless. And for someone who's had four kids? She's as slim and fit as ever!

    10 Marisa Tomei

It's probably the older set of '90s kids who would remember Marisa Tomei when she first became famous. After a few bit TV roles here and there, Tomei captured the attention and hearts of the general public when she appeared in the comedy film My Cousin Vinny, for which she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. In more recent years, she has appeared in big films like Crazy Stupid Love, The Big Short, and most recently, Captain America: Civil War, wherein she played Peter Parker's Aunt May. Proof that she's still got it? For her role as Aunt May, she's been nicknamed by fans as “Aunt Bae.”

    9 Sarah Michelle Gellar

If you're asked what comes to mind when you think of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, you automatically recall Sarah Michelle Gellar in the titular role, slaying vampires on the small screen. The popularity of the show eclipsed the movie it was based on, mainly because Gellar fit the role of Buffy to a tee. She went on to appear in films like I Know What You Did Last Summer and of course, Cruel Intentions. Today, she's married to Freddie Prinze, Jr. has two children by him, and still looks great.

    8 Claire Danes

She became known back in the day for her role as Angela in the 1994 TV series My So-Called Life and it was a role that won her her very first Golden Globe Award. Claire Danes has certainly had great success in her career since then, starring opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in the film Romeo and Juliet, and also appearing in Terminator 3 and Neil Gaiman's Stardust. Today, she's most known as Carrie Mathison in the drama series Homeland, for which she has received two Emmys and two Golden Globes. Her appearance in a beautifully unique Cinderella-esque gown in this year's Met Gala certainly put her in the headlines.

    7 Jared Leto

Like his My So-Called Life co-star Claire Danes, Jared Leto's career soared to great heights after the show, although his path took a very different turn from Danes.' He had small roles in films such as How To Make an American Quilt and Fight Club and the lead role in Urban Legend, but he decided to lay low on his acting career for a while so he could focus on his other passion: music. But he came back to the acting world with a bang in the film Dallas Buyers Club, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He still looks great and much younger than his actual age of 44.

    6 Alicia Silverstone

She's got a lot of natural talent, having garnered acclaim in her film debut The Crush. Alicia Silverstone was one of the biggest teen idols of the 1990s because she had the total package: beautiful and talented. Perhaps the role she's most known for is Cher Horowitz in the teen comedy film Clueless, which has become a cult classic. She has kept quite busy throughout the years, though she hasn't had the same success as she had back in the day. At 39, she doesn't look like she's aged a day.

    5 Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston has the success of the ever so popular sitcom Friends to thank for her flourishing career way past the '90s. Aniston is probably the busiest and most successful of the six Friends stars and it doesn't hurt that she's gorgeous and stylish as well. She's always had an enviable body and amazing hair, making her a perennial style icon even today at 47.

    4 John Stamos

He's most known for his role as Uncle Jesse in the ABC sitcom Full House. We all fell in love with John Stamos as the ladies'-man-turned-family-man Jesse Katsopolis, especially when he interacted with his three beloved nieces and married his lovely girlfriend Becky. Even if he went on to play other roles after the show ended, he'll never be known as any other character other than Jesse. He's currently reprising his role in the show's revival called Fuller House and he's truly aging like a fine wine.

    3 Julia Roberts

Rumor had it, she insured her smile for $1 million, though it's uncertain if the gossip is true. But it certainly wouldn't be farfetched, since Julia Roberts has one of the most beautiful smiles in Hollywood, one that truly lights up her face. Roberts captured our hearts with her winning smile in the film Pretty Woman, which was the movie that made her a veritable A-lister. She has done a myriad of roles, even winning an Oscar for her compelling performance in the film Erin Brockovich, but she'll always be known for her performances in romantic comedies like Runaway Bride, Notting Hill, and My Best Friend's Wedding. At 48, she still commands any room with her presence.

    2 Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon is a true blue southerner, complete with a thick accent, which she's able to change up depending on her role. She started out as a child actress, but caught the eye of the general public in her roles as a teenager, namely in the films Pleasantville and Election, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award. Her breakthrough role was in the film Legally Blonde and she won an Academy Award for her portrayal of June Carter in the Johnny Cash biopick Walk The Line. Perhaps it's her naturally youthful facial features that makes the 40-year-old not look a day over 25.

    1 George Clooney

He has finally settled down with the love of his life, but for the longest time, George Clooney seemed like he wanted to remain a bachelor forever, going through a string of women without any intention of marrying them. He's been around the business since the '70s, but he became a household name and Hollywood heartthrob when he took on the role of Dr. Doug Ross in the medical drama ER. Today, Clooney is one of the most accomplished actors in Hollywood, having branched out to screenwriting, producing, and directing. And he's still gorgeous.
