15 Beautiful Royal Women From Across The World We Never Hear About

Sometimes it seems like beauty goes hand-in-hand with royalty. Kate Middleton is well known in Britain, Europe, and America for her beauty and Prince Harry is often thought to be the most eligible British bachelor. While the world has seen many royal beautiful women, some of the most stunning royal women are relatively unheard of outside of their own countries. This may be because they are focused on their work or it could be because the media rarely writes about them. However, they do exist… even though it is very likely that you've never heard of some of these stunning royal women. Most of them are very popular in their own countries, winning the hearts of the public with their tireless philanthropic efforts.

From princesses in Thailand to queens in Jordan, here are 15 of the most beautiful royal women from across the world that we never hear about.

    15 Princess Sirivannavari Of Thailand

Queen Letizia of Spain is one of the most well-known royal women on this list, as she is known across the world for being a stylish trendsetter. Before she married King Felipe in 2004, she was a journalist and a news anchor, so she was a small celebrity in her own right. She married King Felipe in May 2004, and the wedding was held at the Cathedral Santa Maria le Real de la Almudena in Madrid. The wedding was a big deal for a few different reasons; it was the first royal wedding to be held in the cathedral, and it was the first royal wedding in the capital in nearly a century. Her bridal gown was designed by popular Spanish fashion designer Manuel Pertegraz, and the veil was a gift from King Felipe. In 2015, Queen Letizia of Spain was named the Ambassador of Nutrition in the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization.

    10 Princess Sonam of Bhutan

Princess Sonam of Bhutan is known in Bhutan for her intelligence and beauty. She has a degree from Stanford University and a Masters in Law from Harvard, and she is the current President of the Bhutan National Legal Institute. She is also recognized as an important political figure in Bhutan. She is the daughter of the fourth King of Bhutan, and she is married to Dasho Phub W. Dorji. The pair married in April 2009, and he is the son of Dasho Zepon Wangchuck, Chief Architect and Project Manager. He also has a master's degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Economics from the George Washington University. Dasho Phub W. Dorjj is currently the director of the Bank of Bhutan - can you say power couple? Both the Princess and Dasho are intelligent, passionate and motivated, and we wonder where they will be in 10 years time.

    9 Queen Jetsun Pema

Queen Jetsun Pema is also known as the “dragon queen” of Bhutan, which may be the coolest nickname we've ever heard of. She is married to King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, and she is known across Asia as a fashion icon. She normally wears traditional clothes that have unique designs and vibrant colors, and her outfits are often featured in the Asian media. The King is very in love with his wife. When he announced their engagement in 2011, he said: "As King, it is now time for me to marry. After much thought I have decided that the wedding shall be later this year. Now, many will have their own idea of what a Queen should be like - that she should be uniquely beautiful, intelligent and graceful. I think with experience and time, one can grow into a dynamic person in any walk of life with the right effort. For the Queen, what is most important is that at all times, as an individual she must be a good human being, and as Queen, she must be unwavering in her commitment to serve the People and Country. As my queen, I have found such a person and her name is Jetsun Pema. While she is young, she is warm and kind in heart and character. These qualities together with the wisdom that will come with age and experience will make her a great servant to the nation.” Awwww!

    8 Princess Charlene of Monaco

Princess Charlene of Monaco is seriously stunning, but she is also known for her controversial wedding day. She married Prince Albert the 2nd in July 2011, but the wedding didn't go smoothly. After the wedding, it was revealed that Charlene was having second thoughts, and she tried to call off the wedding and run away three times before the ceremony began. That may make it seem like the wedding wasn't meant to be, but the pair are still currently married and they seem very happy together. The couple has two children together, Jacques and Gabriella, who are both heirs to the Monaco throne. Before the wedding, Charlene was an Olympic swimmer, and she currently holds the role of Special Olympics Ambassador. She has said that the cause is very important to her, and she is happy to be able to use “the power of sport to change lives”. She is also known for her trendsetting style.

    7 Princess Claire Of Belgium

Princess Claire married the Crown Prince of Belgium, Laurent in 2003, but prior to that, she had no connection to the Royal family. She was actually a land surveyor, and she continues to invest her time and effort into environmental causes, accompanying her husband to charity events. She has three children with her husband: Princess Louise Sophie Mary, born 6th February 2004, and twins Prince Nicolas Casimir Marie and Prince Aymeric Auguste Marie, who were both born on 13th December 2005. Unlike her two sisters-in-law Mathilde and Astrid, Princess Claire doesn't have a defined official role. However, she is the leading patron of the Brussels Choral Society, which sang at her marriage ceremony. She also works with organizations that are related to Britain, and she is on the Board of Trustees at the British School of Brussels. She is well known in Belgium for her beauty and environmental efforts, and she is well-liked by the public.

A post shared by Moza bint Nasser (@mozabintnasser) on Nov 19, 2016 at 11:47am PST

Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned is the daughter of Nasser bin Abdullah Al Missned, and she is the second of the three wives of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, former Emir of the State of Qatar. While she is one of three wives married to the Sheikh, she is the public consort of the Emir and she is the only wife who is regularly seen in public. This is because she is the chosen wife to represent her husband at events and conventions. She has a BA in Sociology, and she has many foreign honors and awards. She is also an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Virginia Commonwealth University. Unlike many other Royal wives in the Middle East, Sheikha Mozah is a fairly high-profile figure in Qatar's politics and society. She was also named as one of Forbes' 100 Most Powerful Women, ranking at 75. We love her intelligence and forward thinking attitude, and she is also very beautiful!

    5 Princess Madeleine of Sweden

That smile is absolutelty gorgeous! 💋😍 #PrincessMadeleine

Princess Madeleine of Sweden (who is also referred to as the Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland) is sixth in line to the Swedish throne. She is known across the world for her beauty and philanthropic behavior; she has spent years raising awareness for child abuse. While she is very beautiful, she has been unlucky in love. Her wedding was called off in 2011 when she found out that her fiancé had an affair with a 21-year-old woman during their relationship. Thankfully this story has a happy ending; in 2012 she got engaged to financier Christopher O'Neill. The pair were wed in 2013, and most of the royal family attended the wedding. She wore a stunning Valentino Haute Couture wedding dress, and the pair is still happily married today. Her husband doesn't hold any royal titles, and he is often seen as a bit of a maverick as he refuses Swedish citizenship.

    4 Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece

Happy Father's Day to the best Dad ever! I love you to infinity and beyond💫💫💫

A post shared by Marie-Chantal Of Greece (@mariechantal22) on Jun 19, 2016 at 9:08am PDT

Princes Marie-Chantal of Greece was actually born in London, but she now lives in Greece with her husband and the rest of the Greek royal family. She is married to the son of the deposed King Constantine, Pavlos, and she converted from Roman Catholicism to Greek Orthodoxy so that the pair could get married (unlike the husband mentioned above). The ceremony was held in May in 1995 at St Paul's Chapel in New York. Pavlos proposed with a cabochon-cut sapphire and heart shaped diamond engagement ring. Marie-Chantal wore a Valentino dress. The pair married in July 1995 at St Sophia's Cathedral in London, and most of the European royal families attended, as well as ten members of the Greek political party New Democracy. The couple have five children together, Marie-Chantal also directs her own international children's clothing line called Marie-Chantal, and she is a trustee of the Royal Academy Trust.

Máxima of the Netherlands is pretty special for a few different reasons. She is the first Queen consort in the Netherlands since the year 1890, and she is also the first ever Queen consort who was born outside of Europe. She is married to King Willem-Alexander, and they have three daughters together. The pair first met in 1999 in Seville, Spain, during Seville's Spring Fair. The king chose to introduce himself by his first name, and so she didn't even know that he was a prince. When he later told her that he was the heir to the Dutch throne she didn't believe him, but she did agree to meet him again two weeks later in New York. Their relationship started in New York, and the couple announced their engagement in March 2001. It was probably a nerve-racking experience for the Queen as she had to address the nation in Dutch, but at the time she only spoke very basic dutch.

    2 Princess Charlotte Casiraghi

A post shared by Charlotte Casiraghi (@charlottexcasiraghi) on Nov 12, 2016 at 6:22pm PST

Princess Charlotte Casiraghi is very well known for her beauty; she appeared on the cover of Vogue Paris in September 2011, and she ranked number 10 on a list of the world's most eligible young women. Vanity Fair also added Princess Charlotte to their 2006 International Best Dressed List. She is often photographed at fashion shows and art exhibits around the world. She is eighth in line to the throne of Monaco, and her grandmother Grace Kelly was the former Princess of Monaco. She tries to keep her personal life private, but the media often writes about her romantic life. This is because she had a son out of wedlock with actor Gad Elmaleh in 2013, which was classed as shocking behavior for a member of the Royal Family. The couple has now split due to Gad's busy schedule, but the media continue to extensively document her day to day life.

1 Princess Ameerah of Saudi Arabia

Last 2015 #trainingsession with my lovely #AmeerahAlTaweel and the Al Taweel family 😍 Now home 🏡

A post shared by Kasia Foustok (@kashagee) on Dec 16, 2015 at 1:24pm PST

Princess Ameerah of Saudi Arabia is known for her stunning looks and compassionate behavior. She has a degree in Business Administration from the University of New Haven, and she says that she aspires to be one of the first women who drives on Saudi roads. She was married to Prince Alwaleed al-Taweel, but they divorced in 2013. Her husband Prince Alwaleed was warned by his brother to control Ameerah's media appearances. Eventually, this tension led to their divorce. The Prince was nearly 30 years older than her, so perhaps the match wasn't the best one! Princess Ameerah is now an active humanitarian who strives for women's rights in the Middle East. She also supports a wide range of humanitarian projects outside of Saudi Arabia, and her efforts mostly focus on women's empowerment, poverty alleviation, disaster relief and interfaith dialogue. We love her forward thinking attitude. She truly is beautiful on the inside and the outside.
