15 Celebs Who Have Had Major Wardrobe Fails

Wardrobe malfunctions can be more than a little embarrassing depending on where they happen. You don't exactly want to be walking down the street on a super windy day and have your skirt or dress blow up so total and complete strangers can see your underwear. Oops. Or you don't want your blouse buttons to suddenly break during an important work meeting. You also really, really don't want an outfit fail on a first date. You get the idea. But wardrobe fails happen to literally every single person under the sun and celebrities are perfect proof of this fact. In fact, wardrobe fails might even happen more to celebs than the average person since they're dressing up in complicated outfits so often. Here are some celebs who suffered from pretty crazy wardrobe malfunctions and lived to tell the tale.

15 Emma Watson

When Emma Watson was attending the premiere of The Perks of Being a Wallflower she had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction when her dress slipped down. She did not end up flashing completely however, but a breast cover under her backless Giorgio Armani gown became visible. At least she had the idea to wear a breast cover, since it did in fact save her from showing too much.

14 Karolina Kurkova

Karolina Kurkova had a bit of a wardrobe fail when she flashed some butt cheek under her black dress. She was attending a store opening in Los Angeles at the time and seemed to give a bit much on her walk that sent her dress flying up. From the shot is wasn't evident if she was wearing underwear or not, but there was definitely bare bottom showing.

13 Jennifer Garner

Lots of celebs layer some shapewear under their clothes to keep things nice and tight on the red carpet, but that isn't exactly an image that you need strangers getting intimate with. Jennifer Garner had a pretty big wardrobe fail when she did just that at the Hollywood premiere of her film Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. It could have been worse since at least she was wearing underwear, but a full Spanx shot isn't much better.

12 Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway had a wardrobe malfunction when she neglected to wear panties to the Les Miserables premier in 2012. This one was a particular bummer because she seemed sensitive about it, unlike other celebs who just laugh it off. She did however win an Oscar for her role in the film, so you know, it's not all bad. At the time she said, "It was devastating. They saw everything. I might as well have lifted up my skirt for them."

11 Ashley Tisdale

It's fairly common for celebs not to realize that something is sheer until it's too late. There's a big difference in looking at a shirt with normal lighting in your house and being struck by a whole bunch of photographers flashes at once. Ashley Tisdale is one star who experienced this recently when she hit the red carpet for the Mother's Day premiere. Her black t-shirt didn't exactly hold up to the flashes and her girls made an appearance. Oops.

10 Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj has had a few performances where a boob has basically popped right out of her shirt. She has also spoofed herself  on an SNL skit. In 2011, she had a boob escape from a green bra during a performance, and in 2015 she had something else creep out of a black bra. Those puppies are on the move.

9 Rihanna

Rihanna has had an unintentional nip slip as well, except sometimes she intentionally leaves the house with them showing so it probably doesn't bother her too much. In fact, she quite often wears tops that let the girls roam free and doesn't seem to give a single care what anyone else thinks about it.

8 Tara Reid

Tara Reid once had her dress slip down on the red carpet and fully expose one of her breasts. This was way back in 2004 when she was attending Diddy's 35th birthday party, still living the post-American Pie Hollywood life. Tara didn't seem to notice that her boob was out for a few, which gave the photogs plenty of time to snap her.

7 Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba had a semi wardrobe malfunction when her skirt blew up in NYC. But she handled it like a pro by catching it as best as she could. Plus she was wearing panties at the time, which was definitely a smart move.Jessica is no stranger to sexy gear after starring in movies like Sin City, but she also isn't big on full nudity. She has said, "I don't want my grandparents to see my boobs. That's it. It would be weird at Christmas. And, I mean, really, if you look at the movies I have done, getting naked would never 'elevate' the picture."

6 Janet Jackson

You've definitely heard about Janet Jackson's  wardrobe malfunction at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2004. This moment is definitely one of the most famous ones. Basically, Justin Timberlake pulled off her top exposing her breast, but many were dubious that the nip slip was a mistake and thought it was part of the show. She was at the time wearing some sort of metal sun thing around her nip, which makes it seem prepped for the moment. CBS was fined $550,000 by the FCC for the incident, but then later in 2011 the fine was appealed and they didn't have to pay for it after all.

5 Alessandra Ambrosio

Alessandra Ambrosio had a slip situation while she was shooting photos for a campaign for her own fragrance "Ale by Alessandra." Of course, she looks perfect and amazing while doing so, and probably few people would take offense to her girls showing anyway. It's not even totally obvious who released these photos because you would think that she would be shooting on a semi closed set, but who knows.

4 Jennifer Hudson

The singer had a wardrobe malfunction when she sat down to chat with Chelsea Handler on her talk show. Apparently, the zipper on her skirt had a bit of a malfunction and threatened to flash her lower bits on TV. Chelsea like the good host that she is jumped on Jennifer to help before things got out of hand.

3 Iggy Azalea

Iggy Azalea has had a couple wardrobe malfunctions where she ended up flashing a bit of her lady parts. In 2013, her dress slit went a little too high on the red carpet for the MTV EMA's, and then again when her pants split at a Bar Mitzvah performance.

2 Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara had a pretty big wardrobe malfunction when her dress seam broke at the 2012 Emmy Awards. Her dress broke 20 minutes before she was to walk the carpet and literally had to be sewn into the dress. However, she seemed to take it all in stride because she posted the photo of the malfunction to Twitter herself, adding: “Yes!!!! This happend 20 min before we won!!!! Jajajajja. I luv my life!!!! 20 min Modern Family won!! Dress malfuncion !!! Thank you emergency team!!”

1 Lenny Kravitz

Lenny Kravitz had a pretty intense wardrobe malfunction when his leather pants split during a performance in Stockholm. Basically, he didn't leave anything to the imagination if you know what we mean because, well, he wasn't wearing any underwear. Lenny admitted to the crowd that he had split his pants and apologized for the over-exposure. Of course, many photos were taken of the moment and are still circulating the internet.
