Piercings are such a great way to harness your inner decorator and accessorize your body. It's not only a personal style, it's a form of self-expression. Piercing trends come and go, but unlike a tattoo, you can remove them once you're over it. When it comes to celebs, they're all about self-expression and are usually the ones to start trends, so it's no surprise that a few of them have faced the piercing needle on more than one occasion.
While pierced ears are a standard and “safe” form of bodily jewellery, the variations for pierced ears are not as basic as you'd think. Holes can be made anywhere on or in the ear, and not just on the lobe. But we're not here to talk about the cool new ways you can bling out your hearing organs. We want to share a few celeb piercings that we love (and you may not know about).
We're not going to go as crazy to discuss some of their most scandalous piercing locations, but we will talk about some of the piercings that have garnered a lot of attention for being in unpredictable locations and on unpredictable celebs. While she seems sweet and nerdy, we have to remember that her I Kissed A Girl track ruffled the feathers of everyone, as did her marriage to Russel Brand and recent punk-like transformation. With her various hues of hair and outrageous outfits, it's about time that this Chained To The Rhythm singer added a little bling to her life. With a simple silver nose ring, she's made nostril fashion look hella beautiful and it does nothing but pop against her short, short hair, proving that Katy doesn't need her signature hairstyles or a flawless face to prove her beauty. 14 Amanda Bynes | Cheeks
Before Amanda Bynes dropped off the face of the Earth, but not before she completely went off the rails in terms of sanity, she adopted a couple of sparkly dimple studs. It was a shock to everyone who used to admire this zany and seemingly wholesome actress to see her embrace a wilder side of life, receiving multiple DUI's, and a very public Twitter breakdown. In an effort to break out of her typecast role of “immature goody two-shoes”, she cracked when faced with more adult roles. Given her obvious rebellion, maybe Amanda wasn't ready for those more advanced roles. But, one thing is for sure, she did manage to rock those cheek studs pretty well. We'll give her that.

However unusual it is to see on this high profile actress, you can't deny that it looks great on her and that she wears this piece of jewellery with ease. Drew, you surprising lady. She finally treated herself to this tongue stud back in 2009 after years of admiring and coveting one. Since it was a little uncomfortable in the beginning, she also said that it turned out to be a great diet as it went through a long healing process. However, she has also said at the time that she thought it turned guys away. We're not so sure many guys would hide from Drew, especially with this neat accessory!

The daughter of Will and Jada has always had a colourful personality that her parents fully embrace. Willow Smith loves to experiment with controversial styles when it comes to her clothing and body. Between tattoos and piercings, Willow has done exactly what she wants to fulfill a unique side to her, and she always pulls it off. Her septum piercing is just one of multiple piercings, adding to her collection in her ears, including her tragus and helix. She once fooled everyone, including her fans, with a social post about getting a tongue real, but that turned out to be a hoax. Although, we wouldn't put it past this experimental chick to get one, or any number of out-of-the-box piercings, in her future.

An unpredictable actress to take the piercing gun to the face is Cameron Diaz. Even though her diamond nose stud is super simple and dainty, it stands out on Cameron's once bare face. Perhaps with the celeb trend of getting nose piercings is catching up with sunny Cameron, or maybe her rocker hubby (who is also facially pierced) or bff Drew Barrymore had an influence on her decision to pop that hole in her nostril. Whatever was behind her choice to get it, we approve and think it's the cherry on top of her easy-breezy lifestyle and she should have gotten it done years ago. As an advocate for aging women, this is probably the best statement Cameron could have made to prove the point that age is just a number.

At the beginning of this year, she singlehandedly launched the multiple ear piercing trend, but today we're here to talk about her stand-out septum ring. Always trendy and doing whatever tf she wants, Cara Delevingne is just one of a few celebs to have picked up on the latest piercing trend: the lip ring. Unfortunately, we've fooled you on this one. Cara is wearing a phony hoop, but she isn't the first to do so. The newest trend in clip-on ring fashion is sporting lip rings, which has been done on multiple occasions by Cara, as well as Rita Ora, Victoria Beckham, and supermodel Joan Smalls. Even Kim Kardashian has been seen recently with this showy lip prop, but we think it has more to do with her jealousy over Amber Rose's ability to rock the real deal over its impact on the fashion industry. Fake or not, this is one "piercing" that is uber chic.
7 Fergie | Eyebrow
Black Eyed Peas alum and solo artist Fergie has long succeeded in mastering the combination between glam and punk, with a delicate eyebrow ring acting as the rockstar token to wrap it all up in a neat little bow. While eyebrow rings certainly are not the norm in Hollywood, Fergie managed to make it look hella fabulous for years, encouraging many classy-ish ladies to adopt the same look. And if you didn't know it, even ScarJo sported an eyebrow ring at one point in her rising-star life, as well as male celebs Shia LaBeouf and 90's rapper, Sisqo. Even so, it never really caught on as a “trend” (not like the nose or the lip ring, anyways). It simply remains to be an accent that only few rightful owners can rock.

Kesha is one of many female celebs to go for a nose ring as her facial jewellery of choice (joining everyone including Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Pink, and surprisingly many others!). Fortunately, Kesha is one celeb whose ring totally suits her and is the perfect style and placement for both her face and dynamic personality. In fact, someone was such a big fan of the nose accessory that they made a Twitter account under the handle @KeshasNoseRing. While the account hasn't been active for over two years, it still hasn't been disabled, so it remains to be the best tribute to a celebrity's piercing on record (until someone shows us something even better).

Black Widow has a dark past, and perhaps Scarlett Johansson was influenced by her recurring character's personality with this edgy bling. In the last few years, septum piercings have become super trendy, with everyone from Madonna to Chloe Moretz getting this inner nostril hole. However, Scarlett was one of the few A-list Hollywood stars to jumpstart this trend and has subtly continued to own it ever since. While her septum piercing is a tad surprising for RiRi, we have to admit that we're not entirely shocked about her pierced nip. She's been famously referenced as one of Hollywood's most sensual women, so adding a bit of bling to her lady bits has got to have a hand in the foreplay that goes on behind closed doors. A big fan of S&M, RiRi and piercings go hand in hand (we're just wondering if any of them connect to chains). And the thing is, she totally pulls each of them off! Rihanna can sport any piercing or tattoo she wants and it would completely adapt to her career, personality, and sense of style.

Amber Rose became most famous for her modeling and acting career (but also for her shaved head, big bust, and rocky two-year relationship with Kanye West). She is also a major advocate for women's rights, particularly regarding their orientation and for celebrating their sensual side. As much as Amber is a fan of both genders, she is a fan of piercings and wears multiple rings on her body. She has her septum pierced, as well as her lip and both nips (which she casually referenced in a recent Instagram video). Tbh, it wouldn't matter what piercings this woman decided to get, be it eyebrow, dimples, or dermal, we'd still think she was one of the hottest celebrities around.

Leave it to the exhibitionist sisters of the Kardashian world, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, to debut their shocking piercings. While they'll argue over who did it first and who copied who, it was Kendall who started it all, as she regularly goes braless and loves to show of her nips beneath her clothes. They both claim that the look is sexy and aim to show off their tatas whenever possible, whether they're strutting on the catwalk, debuting them at a magazine shoot, or in a Snapchat post. In an effort to pit these girls against each other, there are even online polls asking fans “Who wore it better?” Either way, these nip-sisters are turning heads with their sheer ensembles, as if they didn't get enough attention as it is.

In addition to these statement-making dual studs, she also has a dermal anchor stud on her chest (right between the girls), as well as a belly button piercing and dual nip rings (although we're unsure if she's still rockin' these ones since the birth of her daughter, Dream). Blac is a rare gem of a person who can honestly wear any gem she wants and in any place she chooses. In fact, she's recently done just that with a vertical tragus piercing and - get this - a diamond tooth stud. Dang, this girl is really into the sparkly thaaaangs.
