    Celebrities know there is more to yoga than just looking smoking hot in the pants. The actual practice of this ancient training helps you work inner core muscles, improve your posture, help with your breathing and allow for deep meditation. Okay, most importantly they get to look smoking hot in yoga pants. There is also a very low risk of injury, which means they won't have to take any time off from their gruelling schedules.

    When it comes to being a star, image is everything and their jobs can demand hours of physical strain to get in shape. Yoga is one of the most effective methods of staying trim but not bulking out. It has also been proven to boost confidence and uplift the spirit. Well, if we left the house looking like these following stars every day, then our spirits would be definitely uplifted too.

    15 Karlie Kloss

    When it comes to yoga, Karlie Kloss knows the positions inside and out. She often posts her workout snaps on Instagram and is the body envy of women all around the world. Although, for the 23-year-old model, she deserves it as her routines do not look easy.

    Kloss, who is the face of Nike Women, uses yoga to help her muscles get into shape for the annual New York City marathon. She suggests for the best results to have realistic goals and milestones. Oh, and she recommends a great playlist for every workout - we are with her on that one.

    14 Khloe Kardashian 

    Last year, Khloe Kardashian turned to personal trainer, Gunnar Peterson, to help get her body into shape in a very short period of time with an intense routine. Khloe worked out five days a week, mixing together cardiovascular routines, circuit exercises, boxing and pilates. She lost 25 pounds altogether and has never looked healthier.

    The 31-year-old reality star told Extra magazine, "I was really just stressed out, I needed an escape, and I started going to the gym. As a by-product, I started losing weight, and it wasn't intentional 'cause I've always been told, 'Oh, you're fat,' and whatever, and I was like, 'Oh, no, I'm big-boned,' or whatever we say to make ourselves feel better, and I just started losing weight and I really enjoyed what I started seeing."

    13 Gwyneth Paltrow

    Gwyneth Paltrow has had some bizarre workout and nutrition advice throughout the years. In 2009, it was revealed that she eats all her meals in the nude as this encourages her to think more about how much weight she is putting on. Then in 2013, she claimed on a British chat show, "I'd rather smoke crack than eat cheese from a tin."

    Although at 43-years-old, her slim body owes a lot of thanks to her best friend, personal trainer to the stars Tracy Anderson, who told Hello! Magazine, "I trained and studied my field for nine years before I worked with a celebrity. Gwyneth Paltrow has been my business partner and friend for many years, but when I first trained her over a decade ago we did not set out to be entrepreneurs. She literally was like: 'You lifted my butt off the ground, put it somewhere that I never thought it could be and every woman needs this.' So Gwyneth directed my first two DVDs and talked about me to Oprah Winfrey."

    Last November, Glee and Scream Queens actress Lea Michele took to the cover of Women's Health magazine to show off her ripped body. Her figure is down to a mix of cardio and yoga, well hot yoga actually which is just the same but you're in a class that has beenheated to 37°C.

    The 29-year-old told Women's Health, "I go back and forth between hiking and hot yoga. Hot yoga is my absolute favorite. I started in New York doing bikram yoga with Jonathan Groff and now I love the studios out here and I do it all the time. I'm really obsessed. I like exercises that have a little spirituality to them. It's the greatest combination of meditation, detox, and a fantastic workout."

    Katy Perry has got one hot body that's for sure. The Roar singer travels around the globe constantly, so her workout routine has to be something that's adaptable and can be done anywhere. Her former personal trainer, Harley Pasternak, told Closer magazine, "To stay toned and fit, but retain her curves, Katy aims to exercise five days a week, doing short, high-intensity workouts - including lunges and hip thrusts. These tone, as well as boost her metabolism." She most likely can be found lunging in a hotel corridor then.

    Katy also revealed to Look magazine that her body is in even better shape ever since she cut out alcohol. She said of the benefits, "It worked wonders - I felt less anxious and dropped 5lbs! My hair was stronger, my nails were stronger. It really is all about what you put in your body. Also, your gut affects your psychological state and your energy levels."

    10 Miranda Kerr

    32-year-old Miranda Kerr is dedicated to working out. Her best kept secret is that she constantly changes up her routine so she doesn't get bored, although her love of yoga never fades. She told Your Fitness magazine, "I try to do at least half an hour of yoga every day and then I add Pilates and some strength training with weights and resistance bands to elongate and tone my muscles. I've been doing yoga for over 12 years now."

    The former Victoria's Secret model also enjoys a bike ride with her 5-year-old son Flynn, whose father is actor Orlando Bloom. She is now currently dating 25-year-old Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel, who has a staggering net worth of 2.1 billion dollars.

    9 Hilary Swank 

    For actress Hilary Swank, yoga will be nothing compared to the gruelling routine she went through for Million Dollar Baby. To play the role of boxer Maggie Fitzgerald she underwent a drastic physical transition.

    She told the Academy of Achievement online, "I trained for five hours a day, six days a week, and an hour and a half of weight training. I needed to eat 210 grams of protein a day, and your body can't assimilate a lot of protein, so I had to eat every hour and a half, and I was a vegetarian. So a lot of my diet was egg whites. I had to eat 60 egg whites in a day. I would drink protein shakes, but I also needed a lot of sleep at night because my body was going through this change." It was all worth it, when in 2004 she scooped the Best Actress award at the Academy Awards.

    28-year-old Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has the perfect model measurements at 34-25-35. However, it might be a challenge for her to find some decent sneakers to fit her American size 11 feet. She puts her great physique down to the Vinyasa Flow sessions she enjoys. This style of yoga mixes modern gymnastic exercises with a combination of stretching.

    She told Vogue, "Yoga: it's a bit too hippy dippy, and um'ing and ah'ing, and chanting. That can be kind of off-putting to a lot of people. I took (Vinyasa Flow) class and it's really great before a shoot, just to stretch out and get all your ligaments stretched. A lot of times with posing as a model, you're in heels all day, you're in uncomfortable positions, you're hanging upside down and you're arching your back all day, and they look aesthetically beautiful, but they're incredibly uncomfortable."

    Have we got the old Miley Cyrus back? This photo of the Wrecking Ball singer looking happy, healthy and rocking the yoga pants seems that way. Maybe it's down to the yoga, as just last summer the 23-year-old posted a photo to her Instagram of a very complicated, and quite painful looking, pose.

    Or perhaps, it's because she has rekindled her romance with ex-fiance, actor Liam Hemsworth. The pair who called off their engagement in 2013, appear to be happier than ever. A source close to the couple told People magazine last week, "For the past few weeks, they have lived a very secluded life. When they are not working, they rarely leave home. They often have people over for dinner, and Miley has gone from a wild child to a housewife."

    Justin Timberlake must be a very happy man looking at these pictures of his wife, actress Jessica Biel, working out. She gave birth to a son, Silas Randall Timberlake, last April and has snapped back in shape. Biel has been a longtime fitness fanatic and has previously said, "I've always been physical. I have no concept of what life is like without physical activity."

    Biel uses light weights to tone her arms and upper-body, which is a great way to stay in shape but not bulk out.

    Vanessa Hudgens is photographed with what seems like almost every day leaving a yoga class. The 27-year-old actress just can't get enough. She told E! Online, "I become fitness-obsessed, sometimes I work out twice a day. I love to practice yoga because it's good for the mind and the soul."

    The star had recently bared her soul when she posted a photo of her late father on Instagram last month. Greg Hudgens had been battling stage 4 cancer at the age of 65, before he passed away on January 30th. She wrote as the caption for his photo: "Rest in peace daddy ❤"

    Model Gigi Hadid often tweets online: "Yoga today was amazing". She is yet another star who has caught the bug and has never looked better. 20-year-old Gigi, who is the daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster, has had an amazing few years with her runway modelling career taking off and jetting her to A-List status.

    She is currently studying Criminal Psychology at The New School in NYC and luckily the city doesn't play havoc with her diet. "New York is great for being healthy - I have a Juice Press right around the corner and I make my own food all the time. But burgers and fries are my weakness."

    Kate is well-known for sticking religiously to an exercise plan. During pregnancy she gained 70 pounds, but managed to lose it all with the help of Pilates, yoga, running and hiking for six days in a week. We're exhausted just thinking about it.

In a post on her own website she wrote, "To be honest, I could probably be lazy and not work out and still look the same - but I'm not like that. I've always been really active. The Anaconda singer posted the snap to her fans, which then prompted a worldwide trend of the "belfie" - the butt selfie. Just two days ago, Minaj celebrated hitting 50 million followers on Instagram.

    Her next project is working as a producer on a TV show called Nicki, which is loosely based on her own childhood. The sitcom, due for release later this year, follows a much younger Minaj. Who knows what craziness she is going to bring to the screen.
