When Keeping Up With The Kardashians debuted, the three Kardashian sisters - Kim, Khloe and Kourtney - were already adults. They were the main draw because they were out there trying to figure out the world of Hollywood, trying to run their store, etc. However, since the whole family was included in the show, and it was about their daily life, the two youngest in the family - Kylie and Kendall Jenner - appeared on the show as well. The difference is, they were just kids when the show first started. Viewers essentially got to see Kylie Jenner, the absolute baby of the family, grow up on camera - and grow up she did.

For the first few years, Kylie was a typical kid on the red carpet - no make-up, pretty basic clothes, just looking like an average kid. Then, she started to experiment with make-up, and made overlining your lips a huge trend. Then, she got her lips done. She started developing a very particular kind of aesthetic, and had no qualms about showing off her curves. While many starlets try to diet down to a size zero, Kylie seems to hold the opinion that bigger is better - bigger lips, a bigger cup size, a bigger butt, everything.

15 Kylie's First Red Carpet

I mean, this is just adorable, let's be honest. For her first red carpet, Kylie wasn't dressed up in a Toddlers and Tiaras style gown with crazy make-up - she and her sister Kendall wore matching outfits, and she just looks like any kid. Frankly, given how much the Kardashians love make-up and how smart Kris Jenner is about image, we're surprised they let Kylie walk the red carpet without a stitch of make-up - maybe they just realized how cute she was and figured that would be more than enough. Everything from the bangs to the shy reluctance to smile is absolutely adorable, and we kind of can't believe that this is what Kylie used to look like when she was a kid. If you look very closely you can see some similarities in the face, but you really have to look for them.

14 Red Carpet Ready

There's a bit of a trend in how Kylie looked in most early photos taken of her in public. She was almost always accompanied by her sister Kendall, and the duo were usually with their parents, or at least one of them. While Khloe, Kim and Kourtney were out hitting the clubs and schmoozing with celebrities, Kylie was still a bit young for that scene at the time, so she did things like go to the premiere of children's movies with her family. It's easy to see why Kendall ended up becoming the model in the family - while Kylie can nail a selfie now, it's obvious that she's just not as comfortable with posing for the camera as her sister is. The duo are still rocking the matching skirts, though - it seems that Kris Jenner was a big fan of matching outfits for her youngest girls.

13 Tween Kylie

She may call herself Queen Kylie today, but back in 2009, she was just tween Kylie - not a child anymore, but certainly not a teenager quite yet. You can see here that she's discovered make-up and has lined her eyes with a bit of eyeliner, although her sheer glossed lips and natural skin with her freckles evident proves she hasn't gone overboard yet. The hair is more styled than when she was a kid - baby's first blunt bangs! - and her clothing choice seems a lot more like she's trying to look red carpet chic and not just wandering out in whatever her mom dressed her in. She may not look like the Kylie we all know here, but you can definitely see the slow evolution from a young, carefree, child Kylie to the mega popular teen celeb.

12 Starlet In Training

Just like the previous image, you can see Kylie starting to flex her teen beauty and style muscles. She's rocking the plain black eyeliner - a big trend at the time - but the rest of her face is very neutral, with sheer or neutral gloss and what appears to be no foundation (we can't help but wonder why she doesn't show off her freckles more often nowadays - they're adorable!). She's also starting to veer towards the more grown up side of the spectrum with her clothing, opting to rock a strapless printed dress. Since she had a front row seat to the craziness that is Hollywood from a very young age, we're frankly surprised that the starlet didn't grow up even faster than she did. Still, it's crazy to think that there's really only a few years between this Kylie and the 2017 Kylie - they seem like entirely different people!

11 Red Carpet Veteran

Okay, now we're talking. In this shot, Kylie's changed up her natural haircolour to include some brown/ombre vibes, and is rocking the loose bombshell curls that wouldn't be out of place on a Victoria's Secret runway. She's softened the black liner look and gone for a smoky eye instead, and has switched out her clear gloss for a soft pink lip. And, obviously, you can't ignore the outfit choice - while her previous red carpet outfits were very much from the kids' department, this side of Kylie is a whole lot more grown up. I mean, a pencil skirt, a crop top, heels and some jewellery? It's the type of outfit we can totally see Kylie rocking today - although she has a whole lot more curves to fill them out than she did back then.

10 Make-up Maven

It's no secret that Kylie Jenner absolutely loves make-up. Sure, most of her sisters do, but Kylie's passion has inspired things like the overlining trend and various make-up product launches. Nowadays, she has more skills than your average make-up artist does, but back when she was a teen, she was still trying to figure it all out. This make-up look is far heavier than what she had been rocking when she was younger, and she hasn't quite perfected it yet - the lashes have a bit of that spidery quality that you want to avoid, the foundation looks a bit cake-y, and the whole look is just a little bit too intense for her. It's kind of interesting to see pictures of her during this time period in her life, because there aren't that many - she became a legit make-up master pretty quickly.

9 Teen Vogue Red Carpet

In 2013, Kylie walked the red carpet at some sort of event for Teen Vogue, and you can definitely see her beauty evolution. The hair has gone from natural blacks and browns to include a coppery ombre - a pretty good hint at her future love of changing her hair like a chameleon. And, the make-up - while it's not as flawless as the looks she rocks today, it's definitely a whole lot closer. The contoured and bronzed look with intense lashes isn't too far off from her look today - although her face shape is quite a bit different, and those lips definitely aren't as plump. This is where Kylie started really coming into her own and realizing what types of looks she enjoyed and how to achieve the image she wanted to portray on the red carpet. Forget allowing her mother to pick out clothes - she was in charge here.

8 Leather and Lipstick

There's a whole lot going on in Kylie's evolution here. First of all, the hair - while she rocked pretty basic styles to this point, now, Kylie is opting to add volume and a defined curl and a lot more style to her hair. Then, of course, there's the red lip - a drastic change from her normal nude shades or soft pinks. The strange leather shirt - not the most flattering on her, with its baggy fit, but a good example of taking a fashion risk, something that 2017 Kylie absolutely adores doing. All in all, even though this look isn't the most flattering on her, it's an important step in her evolution because it shows her experimenting with who she is and what image she wants to put forth to the world.

7 Bombshell Bob

Now, this is a whole lot closer to the Kylie that you probably recognize. In this shot, taken at the Billboard Music Awards, she's traded in her long brunette locks for a crazy blue dip dyed bob. And, she's also showing a lot more skin, something that's a big part of her sexy look nowadays. Her lips aren't quite at the super plump spot they're in today yet, and her curves aren't quite as enhanced as 2017 Kylie, but in this shot you can definitely tell who this starlet is - which isn't always the case in photos of her from her younger years. When you've been in the public eye for so long, we imagine it's probably tough to change your image and mix things up, so we've got to hand it to Kylie - it took a lot of guts to bust out a look like this.

6 Mermaid Waves

For a period, Kylie seemed to be dyeing her hair a different colour every week, or at the very least rocking a different wig every week. And we can't blame her - if you have nothing but time on your hands and tons of money, why not experiment with your look on a regular basis? In this shot, taken at a charity event, Kylie is rocking long locks that are dyed a bluish-green colour that gives off major mermaid vibes. Her false lashes have some serious volume, as do her lips - this is definitely pretty darn close to the Kylie we know. Although, when you look at pictures like this shortly after seeing shots from her younger years, you can't help but wish she would go a bit more sheer on the foundation to let those freckles peek through - they're such a lovely feature.

5 Va Va Voom

When she hit her late teens, Kylie definitely lost a lot of the shyness that seemed to plague her on the red carpet when she was younger. Instead of hiding or giving a neutral expression, she started serving up full on attitude in a major way - something that her big sisters probably gave her lessons on. She's rocking a peak Kylie look here - overlined lips with a bold matte lip colour, dyed hair, long lashes, and a pretty daring outfit. It's during this stage of her evolution that Kylie started becoming more than just Kim and Khloe and Kourtney's little sister - she was becoming a star in her own right, someone who could easily be courted by the paparazzi even if she wasn't with her more famous (at the time) sisters).

4 Ab Fab

Long, curled extensions? Check. Long fake nails, perfectly polished and looking like they've been freshly done? Check. Plenty of jewellery? Check. A crop top? Check. I mean, this photo of Kylie may have been taken a few years ago, but it definitely proves that there are a few components to her look that have remained consistent over the years - after all, she was still experimenting with her look here. And, it shows her setting herself apart from her sisters - while none of the Kardashian-Jenner clan are particularly shy when it comes to taking fashion risks, Kylie definitely has her own style, and it's on display in this particular combo. It just goes to show how quickly a celebrity's look can change - only a few years before this picture, she was still a somewhat awkward tween who hadn't yet gained confidence in her look.

3 Lioness

I mean, once you start noticing some of the components that are integral to Kylie's look it's a bit hard to ignore them. Take this picture, for example. You've got all the staples - the long, flashy nails, the plumped up lips in a bold shade, the perfectly styled hair, and, of course, the curves. A younger tween/teen Kylie was a lot more slender - not quite like her tall, lanky model sister Kendall, but definitely nothing like her curvy sister Kim. As she grew up, though, Kylie became a lot more like Kim K - she was all about those curves. In this picture, you can pretty clearly see that her lips aren't the only thing she's opted to enhance over the years - we get that puberty can definitely boost your cup size, but it doesn't change by this much once you've already gone through that whole process.

2 Natural (kind of)

This is a much more natural look than Kylie regularly wears, and we kind of dig it - it's refreshing to see the shorter hair and softer lip, though we definitely live for her high drama looks as well. However, the biggest thing that's on display in this photo is, well… two big things. Kylie took quite a while to finally confess that her plumped up lips were a result of cosmetic surgery and not just flawless overlining, so we understand that she may not be shouting about her latest cosmetic procedures from the rooftops, but still - it's kind of hard to ignore how she went from average curves to these crazy curves seemingly overnight. If that's what she really wanted, then more power to her - but why not just own it?

1 Queen Kylie

This photo pretty much sums up Kylie today in a nutshell. First of all, it's a selfie - we all know she absolutely adores selfies and takes them on a regular basis. While part of her face is covered by her phone, you can see the perfect matte lipstick and perfectly contoured face. Instead of being on some cheesy red carpet, she's standing in an impossibly chic bathroom. And, finally, the body - we're not quite sure whether that green velvet ensemble is a bathing suit or lingerie, but it definitely shows off her curves - and fuels the speculation that she had some enhancements in both her upper and lower body. Honestly, given how long she's been in the public eye, we're just surprised that Kylie hasn't gotten even more plastic surgeries.
