A kiss that is never tasted is forever and ever wasted - this has been the Hollywood mantra since times immemorial. More high school than ever, tinsel town believes in keeping it within the fraternity. Filled with actors, musicians and everyone in between, it is after all a pretty small hub when it comes to the dating scene and it can be very very difficult to keep track of who is dating who! This sea does have fish for every man, but they must wait their turn because variety is few and far in between.

Joe Jonas and his supermodel girlfriend were a hot ticket until she found his best pal more exciting. Though Gigi and Joe had cited conflicting schedules for their split, the real reason became all too apparent once she started dating “Pillowtalk” singer and one of Joe's close pals, Zayn Malik, just a couple of months later. While things did appear to have ended on an amicable note, Gigi fuelled tabloid fires after stepping out in a t-shirt adorned with the words, 'lol UR not Zayn Malik', hours after the “Toothbrush” singer's performance at American festival Wango Tango. In the aftermath, Joe deleted an Instagram photo he took with Zayn and unfollowed his ex on Twitter. Speaking about the break-up, he also told The Mirror: “I think it's interesting that she moved on so quickly, I mean it was definitely very quick.”

The Whip It sisters clearly don't believe in the “bro-code”, but the good news is, they didn't let that ruin their friendship. Drew Barrymore and Kristen Wiig still claim to be good friends despite having shared the same man, albeit across different periods in their lives. The man in question, Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti had a five-year relationship with Barrymore, before pulling the plug in 2007. So, it must have been quite a surprise for the Charlie's Angels star to hear about the affair brewing between good friend Wiig and her former flame. However, she told Allure magazine: “It all seems so whacky and incestuous, but that's kind of how life works. It seems fitting that they would find each other.”

Not all love triangles have unhappy endings, and this sure makes for one of the best examples. Taylor Swift's girl squad runs deep and Selena Gomez has been part of it since the very beginning with no man ever coming between them. The “Bad Liar” singer cot cosy with the Twilight hunk in early 2009 but later, in the same year, her BFF romanced the same man for a few short months. But, there was no bad blood despite having dated the same guy, and the two singers are still best friends. Selena and Taylor's friendship go back to 2008 when the duo was dating the Jonas brothers. They have upheld their best friend status ever since with Selena maintaining that Tay Tay is “my sister".

12 Say No To "Made-Up Stories About Cheating Exes"
Vampire Diaries co-stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder dated for three years before calling it quits on a friendly note in 2013. A year later, Somerhalder started dating his Twilight alum Nikki Reed, and the new couple got married in 2015. While there have been several claims of the actresses being “at war” ever since, the two, as it recently surfaced, have always been on good terms. Nikki Reed shared a photo of the three of them having dinner together on Instagram, explaining why they didn't nip the rumours in the bud. The Sleepy Hollow actress wrote: “For the last few years we thought addressing any baseless rumours with silence was the best way. 11 Bella "Is Finally Getting To The Point"
Supermodel Bella Hadid and Canadian singer, The Weeknd, broke after a year-long relationship in November 2016. Come January, the “Starboy” singer had moved on to one of Hadid's friends, none other than Selena Gomez! The two were spotted making out outside Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. What followed was an “unfollowing” binge on Instagram with Hadid unfollowing Gomez, and the latter teaming up with Abel (The Weeknd) to return the favour. The couple however continues to follow Bella's sister, Gigi. Moving on from an ex is never easy, but in a chat with Grazia, Bella has revealed that she isn't hung up on Abel anymore. “I'm focussed on myself… I am finally getting to the point where I can just think about what I want to do and the places I want to go. I want to be as independent as possible and worry about myself rather than anyone else.”

Close as the Friends co-stars were both onscreen and off it, Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox also ended up falling for the same guy - Counting Crows crooner Adam Duritz. It was Aniston who first had a go at the band's frontman in 1995. However, Duritz went on record to mention that the relationship was a brief, platonic one and “[we] never even slept together.” Speaking about the fling, he even told Gossiprocks.com: “People are people… not movie stars. It took an abrupt, 27-second phone call for Joe Jonas to pull the plug on Taylor Swift, after a three-month-long fling. The couple had met on the set of the Jonas Brothers' video "Lovebug", and the “Shake It Off” singer did not take lightly to the curt death of their fleeting romance. She went on to pen the song, “Better Than Revenge”, which had the lyrics: “She's not a saint/ And she's not what you think/ She's an actress/ She's better known/ For the things that she does/ On the mattress.” However, to add insult to injury after what definitely proved to be a painfully public split, Jonas went on to date Tay Tay's girl pal at the time, Twilight beauty Ashley Greene. The duo paired up from August 2010 to March 2011 before calling it off.

This one will go down in history as one of the messiest love triangles in Hollywood. Hillary Duff and Aron Carter met on the sets of Lizzie McGuire and dated for almost two years before Carter decided to jump the wagon for Lindsay Lohan. As Carter explained to CNBC, “I started dating Hillary [Duff] on my 13th birthday. I was dating her for like a year and a half and then I just got a little bored so I went and started getting to know Lindsay [Lohan]. Sadly, his two-timing didn't stop there and the “I Want Candy” pop star dumped Lohan a few months later only to go back to Duff - so he could cheat on her again, this time with some other girl. Here is a man who wears his heart on his sleeve - quite literally, given the reputation Alex Pettyfer has made for himself of getting a tad bit too attached to most of his co-stars. He met Emma Roberts on the sets of Wild Child in 2007 and immediately fell in love with her. And no, he didn't stop there - he went ahead to get a tattoo with Emma's initials on his finger. And when they broke up in 2010, so he could go on to offer his heart to his I Am Number Four cast-mate, Dianna Argon, Pettyfer didn't seem to regretful about the tattoo. He told Glamour UK: “I got a girl's name tattooed on my ring finger because I was in love. After his divorce with Jessica Simpson in 2006, Nick Lachey moved on to reality TV star Kim Kardashian but her social climbing antics turned off the 98 Degrees head-turner big time. He told the Life&Style magazine: “Let's just say this: We went to a movie. No one followed us there. Somehow, mysteriously, when we left, there were 30 photographers waiting outside. They first met on the set of Days of Thunder. A 10-year-marriage and two adopted kids couldn't however keep the two together. She told People magazine recently: “I got married really fast and really young. But I don't regret that because it got me [children] Bella and Connor and Connor.” The actress, now happily married to country music star Keith Urban, added: “I did have a fantastic marriage for a long period.” All said, their divorce was pretty brutal, especially with Kidman filing for and eventually winning the custody of their children.
