15 Reasons Kylie's Show Will Get Cancelled After 1 Season

If you've been keeping up with the Kardashian-Jenners, then you know that Kylie Jenner is getting her time in the television spotlight. Her series Life With Kylie will premiere on August 6th and there will be eight episodes. You might be counting down the days because you are super excited… or you might be groaning that there is yet another upcoming reality show about a celebrity. No matter which camp you fall into, you have to admit that this show is going to get people talking, for better or for worse. Kylie has her fans and her haters, like every other famous figure, but since she's part of the most famous family ever, she definitely gets a lot more hate. It's just the way that it goes. The thing is that it doesn't seem like this show is going to last. Even though it hasn't even aired yet, that just seems like the honest truth. Here are 15 reasons that Kylie's show will get cancelled after one season.

15 The Reviews Will Be Bad

Let's just get this out of the way. Yes, this may sound harsh, but it has to be said. The reviews of Kylie Jenner's reality show are most definitely going to be pretty bad. That's because there are a lot of people out there that aren't huge fans of her family and therefore they aren't going to give this show a fair chance. They're going to make fun of it before they even see a single scene. And they're definitely going to write super snarky reviews that may or may not be telling the honest truth. On the other hand, though, this show probably isn't going to be amazing, and that means that the critics will be right to say that it's not very good. There are some shows that are hated by critics but stick around because they have huge audiences and great ratings, but it seems like the negative reviews will be another reason that this show won't last past the first season.

14 The Ratings Might Be Low

It remains to be seen whether people will actually watch Kylie's show, of course. It's not August 6th yet, after all. But it seems safe to say that the ratings might be pretty low. Reality shows aren't anything new for people. These types of shows have been around for a long time and so they're not really that exciting anymore. Do you get super happy when you hear that a celebrity is getting their own reality show? You probably don't, and that's true even if you are a big fan of that person. These shows are just getting kind of old. The truth is that ratings for Keeping Up with the Kardashians have been falling for a long time now. So why would Kylie's show get higher ratings? Who is going to watch her show, anyway? Wouldn't it be her fans? If her fans aren't necessarily watching KUWTK (which seems clear since the ratings are low these days), then why would they watch this new show? So many questions.

13 Rob And Chyna's Show Failed

Rob & Chyna, the reality television show starring this famous couple, wasn't a success. At all. There were only seven episodes and a second season doesn't seem likely at all. In fact, there was some news floating around a few months ago that the show had been put on pause. Other news outlets say that the show has been cancelled. Either way, the series didn't work out, and so who is to say that Kylie's show will work out? Isn't her show going to seem like the same old thing? Sure, it could be argued that she is more famous and popular than Rob and Chyna, but maybe that's not even true. Maybe they are equally famous and people just don't want to watch these types of shows. It remains to be seen whether Kylie's will get better reviews and better ratings and whether fans will think that this is something fresh and new.

    12 'KUWTK' Is Fading Fast

After Kim Kardashian's tragedy in Paris in October 2016, it seemed like the days of Keeping Up with the Kardashian were numbered. People said that Kim didn't want to film the show anymore and it seemed like no one else in the family wanted to, either. The ratings are low and there have been so many rumors that this will be the final season. So if this show isn't doing well anymore, why would Kylie's? She is following in her family's footsteps and she is also following in this show's footsteps. In a way, her show is like a spin-off. It doesn't seem realistic to think that this show could end and Kylie's will continue for even two seasons, let alone the number of seasons that KUWTK has been on the air. That just doesn't seem like it can happen, does it?  Just look at how Rob & Chyna fared.

11 She Will Go Back To 'KUWTK'

If Keeping Up with the Kardashians does stay on the air for a few more seasons, which does seem likely despite the low ratings and all the swirling rumors, then it seems like Kylie would go back to that show. Why wouldn't she want to star on a super popular and beloved series? What would her reason for not doing so be? Even if her show did get a second season, it seems like she would still remain on the show that has been such a success for her and her family. She might also think that this is a better series to focus on and she might not even want to do more episodes of her own show. Hey, you never know. These things can happen. Being the star of your own show is a whole other beast and it might not be such a positive experience. She might not want to hear all the hate and negativity.

10 There Doesn't Seem To Be Enough Drama

The description for Life Of Kylie is that it will follow Kylie in her business meetings and hanging out with her best friend, Jordyn Woods. Does that sound super dramatic? No, not really. Okay, it doesn't at all. This honestly doesn't seem like enough fodder for a reality show. Where is the drama? Where is the conflict? The crazy fights? The table flipping? If the show is really going to focus on meetings, that's not going to cut it. If her famous family isn't going to appear on the show (and whether or not that will happen is not clear yet), then that might not be all that fun to watch. The reason why Keeping Up with the Kardashians works is because the family members love each other but also fight a lot. There is always something going on and that is what makes the show worth watching. Will Kylie's show be the same?

9 Kendall Could Get Her Own Show

Why can't Kendall Jenner get her own reality show? Sure, she might not want one, since she is a pretty private person… or at least she is a private person compared to the rest of her family. It's totally possible, though, that the family's team could realize that a reality show starring Kendall would do really well, and that might be in the cards for later this year or next year. And if that happens, maybe Kylie's show will only get a single season. You know, so people would want to watch Kendall's show instead. Hey, that sounds kind of harsh since it would be like the two sisters were competing for reality shows, but sometimes that is how the Hollywood game is played. You would definitely love to watch a show starring Kendall Jenner. Since she's a professional model, it's safe to say that her life is worth watching.

8 There Could Be A Scandal

This seems like a pretty logical thing, right? When a celebrity gets their own reality show, that means that the spotlight is shining on them even brighter than ever before. People are going to be paying even more attention to them and they are going to get a lot more negative press than ever before. There could definitely be a scandal and it could affect the show. Or maybe it won't be a huge scandal but something will happen that will make it clear that there will be no second season. Just look at what happened with Rob and Blac Chyna. It seems like they have broken up and that's the reason that there most likely won't be another season of their own reality show. Or have they broken up? See, who knows what's going on? Even if there is no quote unquote scandal, it's possible that some news will circulate that will make a second season impossible.

    7 It Seems Superficial

    it's an LA ting

Sorry (not sorry) but it had to be said. This show seems pretty superficial… which, yes, is saying something since this is a Kardashian-Jenner that we are talking about. Kylie is known for being superficial. It's just a fact. She posts about a million selfies a day on Instagram (and, no, that's not even an exaggeration). She loves wearing revealing outfits and once she posted a photo where she talked about looking plastic and living in a Barbie world. She is a big fan of fashion and beauty (which is even more obvious since she has her lip kits, of course) and while there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, that seems to be her biggest passions in life. So what can her show really prove? That she loves makeup? That she spends a long time getting ready every morning? It's just impossible to think about what this show could really be about.

    6 She's Not Relatable

It sounds silly to even say that you can't relate to Kylie Jenner, but it needs to be said anyway. You can't relate to her. Her show isn't going to be relatable, either. What is she even going to talk about? How hard it is to be famous? How hard it is to look beautiful and perfect and stylish all the time? How hard it is to spend tons of money on clothes all the time? Just think about this for a minute. She is moving out of her Beverly Hills house and has listed it for $28 million. $28 million. Um, okay. You can't even begin to process that kind of cash, right? Is Kylie going to talk about how tough it is to sell a house for that high price? Oh man. You can't even. You just can't even. The house has a vineyard and golf course, just in case you weren't sure. There are also reports that Kylie made $41 million in 2017 so far, so there's that. Yeah, she's definitely not relatable.

    5 The Trailer Is Confusing

When you watch the trailer for Life of Kylie, you don't see much. You see a few facts about how big Kylie's empire is: "175 plus million followers. Beauty mogul. Pop culture icon." Then you see a few shots of Kylie smiling for the cameras. She says, "When you grow up on camera, everybody feels like they know you. But they don't." Then she says, "Nobody has a perfect life. Now I can find what really is going to make me happy." Before the trailer ends, Kylie says, "There's an image that I have to keep up with. Then there's me. Kylie." Okay, do you believe that? You have to admit that it definitely seems like Kylie loves the image that she portrays. After all, she spends a lot of time taking selfies and making sure that her social media is up to date and she definitely loves makeup and fashion. She seems to love her image. You can't really believe her when she says that she's being forced to keep up this image of herself but she doesn't really love that. Nope. Sorry Kylie. You do love it.

4 It's Probably Not That Real

Apparently reality television isn't all that real. Just kidding. Of course everyone knows that. But in this case, it seems like the show might be even more manufactured and manipulated than other ones. After all, Kylie has an image that she needs to keep up with, and she has even said so herself. From the mouths of babes, as they say. It's possible that she will watch certain scenes and realize that she doesn't want the public to see her in a certain light and she will tell the producers to cut that stuff out of the show. It's more than possible. It will probably happen. And why not? This is her baby. This is her show. In a way, she has a right to make sure that she is portrayed the way that she wants to be. It's her life and her reputation and her career. But the problem is that if she wants to show people who she really are, then that kind of manufacturing and editing can't happen.

    3 You Do Know Her

Kylie may say that you don't know her and that she isn't showing the world her real self… but is that really true? You have to admit that you feel like you already know her. If you follow her on Instagram and Snapchat, then you at least know what she looks like all the time. You know what her hair looks like on any given day, what lipstick color she is going for, and what fashion looks she is experimenting with. You know where she is going on vacation and who she is hanging out with and who she is dating and what's going on with her family. Yes, you may not be best friends with her and you may not know her deepest, darkest secrets, but that's okay. You don't need to know that stuff. So why is there going to be a reality show? Don't you already get a sneak peek into her life every single day when you look at her Instagram or Snapchat?

    2 It's A Super Small Episode Order

There are only eight episodes in the first season of this show. Eight. That's a really small episode order. There are usually at least 15 episodes, if not 20 or 22. So since this is such a small episode order, it seems like there is only going to be one season of Life With Kylie. Rob and Chyna's show was only given seven episodes for the first season and guess what happened? There was no second season (or at least there hasn't been news about one and it seems like that isn't going to happen). It's safe to say that if there is an episode order of only seven or eight episodes, then it seems like there is just not enough drama or content to fill a longer first season. Yes, you're probably still going to watch Kylie's show (okay, you definitely are going to watch Kylie's show and you might as well just be honest about it). But knowing that it's such a small episode order does make you wonder if there is going to be more.

1 It Seems Like A One Season Thing

When you start watching a show that has a 22-episode first season, it's a pretty exciting thing. Well, it's a pretty exciting thing if you really like the show, that is. If you hate it, then of course you stop watching pretty much immediately and then that's it (well, besides the rant that you text your BFFs). If you start watching a new show and there are only eight episodes in the first season, that honestly changes things. It makes you wonder why there are only eight episodes. Was there not enough there to make an entire season? Do the producers not have total and complete confidence in the series? Did the star not want to be in more episodes? You just have so many questions about this. Now you're seriously excited for August 6th because you really want to curl up on the couch and see what Life of Kylie is about once and for all. But whether you love or hate the show, you might still agree that there isn't going to be a second season. That's okay. You will always have Kylie's Instagram, Snapchat, and of course, those millions of selfies.
