15 Reasons Why Bachelor in Paradise is About to Get So Much Dirtier

Anyone else following this whole Bachelor In Paradise (BIP) story between Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson? We couldn't believe it when we learned about this pre-season scandal and, frankly, we want to know more! Filming has barely begun and the show has already been hit with a misconduct charge, with two popular contestants heading home.

If you haven't read the tabloids yet, DeMario and Corinne were apparently extremely wasted the first night of filming and decided to get in their birthday suits and hook up in the pool. Later, Corrine admitted that she was blackout drunk and didn't remember a thing, blaming others for not stopping what went down. After production halted and contestants were sent home, it was concluded that no misconduct occurred, she seemed “lucid”, and that filming was set to resume. Well, if that's the case, you can bet that this season's gonna get raunchy af given the lack of regard for consequences or anyone's safety. The sky's the limit when it comes to what you can be cleared of doing when you're swept up in paradise.

Since this scandal made for an interesting start to season 4 of BIP, don't be surprised if you find yourself sitting on the edge of your seat come August. This guilty pleasure show is about to get a whole lot dirtier!

    15 Anything Goes

Since apparently blackout levels of intoxication and borderline non-consensual advances are given the go-ahead, it's easy to assume that contestants have free range when it comes to behaving in any manner they like. Given the recent scandal and a casual wave off of the situation by Warner Bros., it seems that limits do not exist in the realm of Paradise, which means contestants are going to ramp up their drama and continue to search for the boundaries with every new shocking act, to which they'll soon discover there are none. To quote returning contestant Robby Hayes in his now viral tweet, they'll be practicing the “what happens in paradise, stays in paradise” thread of logic, which will surely shape up this season to be the most scandalous yet!

14 Consumption Of Alcohol Knows No Limits

As Corrine confirmed, she blacked out from intoxication during the alleged misconduct. Producers watched on as she continued in her inebriated state to get touchy-feeling with DeMario in the pool. Since there are no protocols to measure when a contestant has consumed a little too much, it's fair game for the liquor cabinet and ain't nobody gonna put a limit on these love-seekers. After all, they are all adults and free to do what they want, but sometimes things get out of hand. While contestants are supervised, adults do not always have that luxury, so whatever happens cannot always be objected by a bystander. But even with onlookers, these adults won't be hearing the word stop while staying in this piece of paradise.

13 The Producers & Crew DGAF

Since the producers of the show apparently told Corrine and DeMario in advance that the two of them hooking up would contribute to the show's storyline, they're actually the ones to initiate the incident and get the ball rolling in the first place. Producers intended for these two contestants to get physical, and these two wasted no time in making sure their screen time had plenty to show for their drooling audiences. But even in trying to make their producers happy, things went a little too far and no one knew where to draw the line. And when everything got started, the crew didn't care how it was being conducted because, hey, they planned for this, right? In the end, the producers don't really care what goes down, so long as ratings go up.

    12 Scandal Begets Scandal

Since season 4 of BIP has already received a lot of attention from the media, even before its been filmed in its entirety, audiences are already getting a thrill from it before it's even made it to the editing room. They can't wait to see what went down, but who really knows if those clips will even air? If not, producers are going to have to think of something even bigger to trap the audience's attention, giving them something worth gossiping about to keep those views up. If it's not as juicy as a sexual misconduct scandal, they'll have to twist the storylines to make it equally as scandalous, if not more! If they can't make the contestants seriously work for them to drive up some dirty scenes, the rest of the season will pale in comparison.

11 Contestants Are Being Given The Green Light

As the contestants swarm back to paradise after being given the boot, producers will surely be filling their heads with all sorts of new, even more scandalous ideas to ignite this season with more drama than ever. In doing so, producers will essentially be telling them to start their engines the moment those cameras start rolling. This green light is cue to get going when it comes to stirring up share-worthy dialogue and skintilating reveals. Since these willing participants will do just about anything for their fifteen minutes (maybe even more than they want that coveted rose), you better believe that they'll be wanting to impress the people who pay them to jump when they say jump, or in the case of the show, kiss.

    10 Consent? What's That?

While there are a variety of verbal and nonverbal clues to know whether someone is giving their consent when it comes to getting physical, it's up to the show's supervisors to be aware of them (well, it's also up to the people participating in the act, but they apparently can't be held accountable for their actions). As it turns out, supervisors and the crew haven't been trained in being a courteous bystander when observing a hookup. Unless they blatantly hear the words no or help me, it's not likely that they're going to intervene in a steamy situation. Even if the participant is heavily inebriated, it's fair game for any horny contestant. And you can be sure that this new lot of paradisers will be testing the waters now that their companions' actions were given the all clear by the powers that be.

9 No One Will Want To Go Swimming

Once returning to the island and paradise retreat, contestants are going to be reminded of the scandal every time they step foot on that outdoor patio and consider taking a dip in the pool. They know what went down beneath the surface and that the water's been tainted with far more than just remnants of suntan oil. Since no one will be wanting to take a dip out of fear of getting in contact with essence of Corrine or DeMario, or even reliving controversial memories, those sweaty, sandy contestants will be turning to other zones to cool off or clean up. While we're sure that chlorine will do its trusty job, it's not that easy to forget the scandalous escapades that went down right where contestants get in their morning cardio.

8 The Competition Is Heating Up

Since the cast has been dismantled right as they were beginning to make connections with one another, their distance from their attractive castmates is bound to make their hearts, and libidos, grow fonder. All that initial heat was extinguished as quickly as the tinder caught flame and, once reunited, these would-be lovers won't waste any time in helping their suppressed desires become realized. As the show's filming hit pause, the contestants sighed collectively as their dream to hit that was taken from them before they could even plan their next seduction technique. After having been forced apart, the cast is sure to be feeling all kinds of randy for one another, so reuniting in paradise should be interesting to say the least.

    7 Cameras Will Be Everywhere

Now that the show is on high alert for potential scandals - both planned and unplanned - they'll be sure to be strategic as to where those cameras are going to be hiding. Any remaining shred of privacy will be a thing of the past for this not-so-private reality show. As contestants try to sneak away for a spontaneous romp, they'll be dodging the blinking lights in every nook, cranny, and closet. Since audiences only get to see so much once the editing process takes place, these intimate moments might not all make it to our TV screens. However, if Naked and Afraid can get away with it, they'll be able to censor the crap out of any exposed parts caught on film and deem it appropriate.

6 Producers Need Raunchier Plot Lines

In case this is brand new information to you, producer's have a hand in controlling the dialogue and setting the course for certain scenarios to play out, making for not-so-reality TV. Now that their Corrine and DeMario angle has been busted, they'll be searching for crazier topics to upstage the misconduct debacle and keep audiences interested. In doing so, they'll be turning to fan favourites, and any additional and willing participant, to ignite scenarios that will make fans at home blush. To kick up the spice and to ensure ratings spike, producers will be trying to hit new volumes on their raunch-o-scale, which means we should all expect even dirtier scenes to roll out - albeit free of potential lawsuits.

5 It's Now More About Hookups & Not Romance

These The Bachelor and The Bachelorette castoffs had their shot at “real” love during their first moments behind the cameras. BIP may be officially identified as a show that hopes to find love for those who missed out, it's really just a show that capitalizes on the best part of their parent programs: hookups and drama. Hookups are turning this reality show about finding love into a love fest between singles. For those viewers who are just itching to relive the days when the Real World aired, but in a less censored century, BIP is for them, and producers are now cluing in to this fact. Love is overshadowed by contestants playing out scenarios that fans crave and can live vicariously through. To call this show a guilty pleasure is all too true.

4 Contestants Are On High Alert

Since the news broke about the scandal, producers and contestants are a little on edge about how this season will play out. Every storyline will have to be carefully executed, making sure it not only makes for juicy content, but is carried out in the most legally sound method. With castmates being high-strung about sharing some steamy moments, it might make their anxiety go up alongside their libidos. More pressure to perform will equal more stress and an even higher desire and opportunity to relieve the tension, if you catch our drift. With that kind of tension building, they'll be sure to take to the liquor more often to help them through these trying times, resulting in some sure-to-be poor decision-making.

3 Ratings = Big Pay Outs

If the producers are as eager to put on a show as we expect them to be, they're probably enticing participants to think big when it comes to doing their part for the show's success. In other words, do what you can to keep those ratings up and you'll surely be rewarded for all your hard work. For these fame/love-seekers, that's going to be one challenge they'll be more than willing to accept. In an effort to rake in those dolla, dolla bills, we'll be meeting a whole lot of Corrine and DeMario wannabes this season so that when these castmates end up leaving the set, they'll be both emotionally and financially satisfied. For those who embrace this challenge and survive through the second half of the season, they'll be more interested in winning the green rather than someone's heart.

2 They Can, So They Will

With BIP seemingly having zero rules or consequences, the likelihood of contestants getting busy with one another is even easier than ever. Whether the producers ordered the pairing or not, basic attraction will win when the lights go out. Participants will take to the nearest camera-ridden closet to sneak in a rendezvous with a partner who is, in the loosest regard, off limits. Whether the partnerships are between two or more people, or between two women or two men, they are sure to be hot and shocking to audiences. Why? Because wth not? Producers will be looking for this kind of top quality content, so they won't be caring too much when participants decide to go off and do their own, unscripted thang. In the end, they'll be choosing what airs anyways.

    1 S.O.'s Mean Squat

For Corrine, her return to the spin-off reality show was initially accepted because she believed that the program “needed her” for drama and not necessarily to find love. This is proven by the fact that she's got a boyfriend back home who came to her defence throughout this entire misconduct scandal. Where did he come from? Does he not care that his gf is hooking up with guys in paradise in an effort to find love? What gives? How many other contestants are going on this show for sheer entertainment purposes while their significant others watch on at home? All this just makes the show a whole lot dirtier for a much more controversial reason. Be it love or hookups, the participants don't care what happens because remember, what happens in paradise, stays in paradise.
