When it comes to hot doctors, Dr. Mikhail Varshavsky - better known as Dr. Mike - is one of the originals. He somehow managed to snag the simple Instagram handle @doctor.mike (to the irritating of the countless Dr. Mikes in the world) and the simple medical resident from the New York City/Miami area has earned over 2 million followers. Why? Well, just take a look at his account. First of all, he's absolutely gorgeous. Second, he's a huge animal lover who posts countless shots with his beloved dog. Third, he's really into physical fitness, which he both uses to sculpt his physique and raise money for good causes through things like charity runs. Sure, he's a bit more glam than your average doctor, but hey - you don't earn 2 million followers by not taking care of yourself. Oh, and he's currently dating Pia Wurtzbach a.k.a. Miss Universe. Looking for a doctor with a bit of a French vibe? Look no further than Dr. Lacroix. This handsome gentleman is a dermatology resident based in Montreal who, according to his Instagram page, is also very into fitness. There are a few shots of him wearing a lab coat sprinkled across his feed (practically necessary if you decide to call yourself Dr. anything as your name), but the majority of his feed consists of shirtless images of himself around town, or post-workouts shots clad in tight tees and gym gear. Plus, you'll get occasional shots of the gorgeous city of Montreal sprinkled in amongst his selfies, so there's a little extra incentive to follow the fit doctor. And, as a dermatology resident, he can probably point you in the direction of all the right products and treatments to make sure your skin is practically glowing 24/7 - it's a win win, really.

We're just going to say it - Dr. Jackson Avery is pretty much too gorgeous to be human. I mean, those piercing eyes, those cheekbones, that gorgeous smile… we could go on and on. When the core crew on Grey's Anatomy was diluted by an influx of new characters from the fictional Mercy West hospital, many fans were hesitant about the new crew - but pretty much everyone loved Dr. Avery, because how could you not? He's got a hugely influential and successful family in the medical field, but he keeps that information to himself and tries to rise solely on his own merits. He charms women, he rocks his surgeries, and we basically wish he was a real life doctor so we could drool over him 24/7. I mean, can you imagine Dr. Avery's selfies and how amazing they'd be? Plus, it doesn't hurt that the actor who plays him, Jesse Williams, is a force to be reckoned with who fearlessly stands up for what he believes in.

2 Dr. Sam Bennett

Okay, it's kind of impossible to create a list of sexy doctors without including someone known as “Dr. Feelgood” because of his insane good looks. Dr. Bennett, played by the crazy sexy Taye Diggs, first appeared on Grey's Anatomy and later became a major featured character on Private Practice. He romances women left and right because, let's be honest, who could help but fall for him pretty much immediately? Women watching the show know he's just a fictional doctor, but come on - pretty much every straight woman watching Private Practice kind of wishes that the Oceanside Wellness Group was a real life place where they could go and oogle Dr. Bennett for a little while. I mean, we're only human. Since Private Practice was a spin-off from Grey's Anatomy that the beloved Addison Montgomery-Shepherd got, we sort of feel like Dr. Bennett should get his own spin-off too, because honestly, everyone would watch that.

1 Dr. Derek Shepherd

Dr. Derek Shepherd, played by Patrick Dempsey, is basically the doctor who started it all. He's the original McDreamy. He's the original sexy neurosurgeon that woman around the world lusted after. The minute he stepped onto the small screen on Grey's Anatomy, women everywhere completely lost it. He's constantly trying to better himself so that he can be the go-to neurosurgeon for extremely complex, nearly impossible surgeries that give patients who had completely lost hope something to hope for. He has the trademark wavy, lush locks, and that boyish little smile. Even though some of the show's fans hated him at certain moments because of how he treated Meredith sometimes, let's face it - it was a little hard to hate him, because, well, he's McDreamy. Somewhere in Seattle, there's a real life sexy neurosurgeon riding the ferry boat and kicking butt in the operating room, and we hope his social media profile emerges ASAP.
