Ask anyone who's ever taken an advertising class and they will tell you one thing: in 2016, sex still sells. This is likely the logic behind the fact that so many successful shows feature some pretty hot and heavy sex scenes with stars baring it all (or close to it). Just watch an episode or two of Game of Thrones or True Detective and you're sure to see not only breasts, but possibly some full frontal dude nudes too! It may be part of celebrity worship syndrome or the fact that sometimes everyone fantasizes about doing their favorite celeb, and seeing them in the buff takes you one step closer. Nonetheless, there are still a select few that aren't lined up around the block to make some extra bucks by showing their private bits.

16 Scarlett Johansson

This one may surprise you since if you've seen any of Scarlett's cover photo shoots, there's a pretty good chance you're almost seeing breasts in most of them. She also has a pretty close-to-naked moment in Under the Skin. However, this femme fatale has had a no nudity clause since she was 22 years old. What can ya do? Nudity isn't for everyone. You'll all just have to let you imagination work (not very hard) while staring shamelessly at her in the black widow suit in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War film.

15 Megan Fox

This one's another shocker to some considering some of the racy outfits Megan Fox sports in her various roles in Transformers and Jennifer's Body. However, you all must remember that Megan Fox is now a mother, and most mothers are at least a little bit conscious of what their kids could grow up to see. When she was asked about doing nude camera work, the star said that doing nude scenes wasn't in her plans, just in case watching the playback later makes her uncomfortable about getting down and dirty in real life.

Cameron Diaz has spent a lot of time in her underwear on film. From her appearances in Charlie's Angels to There's Something About Mary, it can be agreed upon that she's fairly comfortable in her own skin. And why wouldn't she be. She's got a rockin' bod that she apparently works extremely hard for. You may have even thought you've seen her nipples in a photo shoot she did, but apparently that is NOT the case. However, it is said that she is not comfortable baring it all on film. "I will never do nudity," she has said. "I don't care how dark and intellectual the role could be, you know. I don't care if I frickin' could get an Oscar for it, I'm not going to do it." It looks like Ms. Simpson is standing her ground and keeping her feet firmly planted on this issue.

This 48-year-old actress has had quite the career, spanning over 27 years. That's a lot of film roles and a lot of chances to get naked and make a few extra bucks for it. She's played a prostitute, that pretty much means you're naked for the whole time, right? Not exactly. Think you've seen her naked in past roles? Guess again, because Ms. Roberts uses a body double for nude scenes. Though you may have glimpsed some flashes that were pretty sexy and close to nude, the actress maintains that she doesn't do nude film work.

New mom Blake Lively has done some pretty sexy scenes (see Savages). She has also been seen flaunting some scantily clad outfits on red carpets and in episodes of Gossip Girl. However, that doesn't mean she's down to be naked on film. In fact, if given the choice, she prefers to be more covered up. Ms. Lively-Reynolds says that she doesn't like showing too much skin in general so being naked on camera puts her in a panicked state. The only person she's getting naked for is hottie hubby Ryan Reynolds.

This one isn't much of a surprise to many as Amanda Leigh Moore grew up in Catholic school and was very close to her family. The singer and actress is most well known for songs like Candy and I Wanna Be With You as well as her squeaky clean Disney-like acting roles such as Jamie in A Walk to Remember and Hilary Faye in Saved. When asked about whether or not she would ever consider taking a role that required her to strip down, she answered: "It would be completely uncomfortable to walk down the street and know that the person passing by had seen me without my clothes on."

Hermione Granger is all grown up. Taking on roles in The Bling Ring, The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Noah, she has graduated from the franchise that was ultra-popular with teens and tweens (but really, everyone), the Harry Potter series. But even though Emma Watson is done with the Harry Potter series, she doesn't want to wreck people's memories of Hermione by doing nude scenes. She doesn't want her most famous role to date to be clouded with images of her naked body on film. After the actor's wife, Anna Faris, gave birth to their son Jack nine weeks prematurely and the baby was hospitalized for over a month, prayer got them through it. There's no turning back now. Unlike many female actresses who don't want to bare all for the cameras, Pratt says it has nothing to do with public image.

Most well known for her role as Alice in the Twilight series, Ashley Greene is another super hot young actress who doesn't fancy the idea of getting naked on film. She says: “I will never say never. I will say, at this moment, nudity in a film is something that does turn me off because of the context that it's put into most of the films. It exploits women, and it's not artistic at all.” Even though vampires have ultra hot and tantric sex (according to the books), and apparently can't control it for the first hundred years, you won't be seeing Ms. Greene show you this any time soon.

4 Sarah Jessica Parker

Celebrities have insecurities just like the rest of us. Though that may surprise you with someone as popular as Sarah Jessica Parker, her reasons for not doing nude roles is all to do with comfort. The star says she just isn't comfortable with the way she looks naked. The actress also mentions in an interview that she's a bit of a prude. Before she even started filming the series, she had a no nudity clause put into her contract. “I was not comfortable with nude scenes, scenes with sex toys or vulgar language - so I did not do any… My character, Carrie, kissed a lot of men - but that's as far as it went.” So despite your fangirling over Sex and the City, just note: SJP did not have any sex (or nude scenes) in the city.

Ask Jessica Alba to wear a form-fitting body suit or strip down to a bikini for a role and she is more than happy to oblige, but nudity is a different story. "I don't do nudity. I just don't," Alba has said. "Maybe that makes me a bad actress." That explanation has left many wondering about the big question: why? She clarified later in an interview with US Magazine/Glamour, "I don't want my grandparents to see my boobs… That's it. It would be weird at Christmas. And, I mean, really, if you look at the movies I have done, getting naked would never 'elevate' the picture." She does have a point, doesn't she?
