Fashion is something that we all find intriguing, women love the idea of picking out an outfit and then being able to pose for many photos. Which is super fun, when you are going to an event or a party or just a girls night out and you dressed all hot, ready to show off--but then you walk outside of your house and tons of people are staring at you. Turns out--that super cute, hot, amazing outfit you thought so highly off, well, it actually isn't flattering at all.

The Red Carpet events are often big nights for celebrities, as it is a chance for some of them to shine--and for some, to attract our attention so much that you cannot stop talking about it--and by attract, meaning for all the wrong reasons. 20 Taylor Swift- Met Ball 2016

Someone needs to call Queen B--looks like little J is back in town, well in referring to Gossip Girl that is, Taylor Swift's outfit looks like Taylor Momsen's character Jenny Humphrey's one of a kind outfit. We all love Taylor, but I am pretty sure that you and I and all of her fans are wondering what the heck she was thinking wearing this, am I right? Taylor Swift has come onto the Hollywood scene first in adorable sundresses and cowboy boots, then she became glamorous and then some vintage pieces--but this hits the ball right out of the park! And not in the greatest way. The Met Gala (2016) is an evening where celebrities gather and we, the fans, get to watch on our television screens all the world's most finest couture creations come to life as they are being paraded down the Red Carpet by many celebrities. But in 2016, Taylor Swift unexpectedly showed up in this metallic and black snakeskin cut-out mini dress, some black strappy heels and her hair super short and platinum blonde and to top the outfit off she experimented with her effortless lipstick signature but ditched the red lips for a darker color. Not sure about you, but this outfit just isn't working for her. Sorry, Taylor!

19 Miley Cyrus

Oh my-my! Not enough words can express how terrifying this outfit is! Miley, PLEASE put some clothes on. And in other words, this has got to be the worst and one of the most shocking outfits that have ever been seen on the Red Carpet. Just everything about it is wrong-- and quite frankly not sure if there is much to it to even consider it an outfit. With just enough (or not enough) material to cover some parts, Miley Cyrus clearly loved making a major statement and shocked most of her fans. What may be running through so many of her fans minds, including ours, is what was she thinking? Honestly, would love to ask Miley what made her wake up one morning and decide that was going to be her outfit on the Red Carpet? It burns our eyes just looking at it. Please Miley, next time you think less is more--do yourself (and your fans) a favor and veto it.

18 Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is notorious for showing up in the most extravagant outfits but nothing really tops this one-- talk about a "meaty" occasion. See, some outfits can be funny! While it is no surprise that Lady Gaga would show up in something so crazy, this one is a bit shocking and slightly disgusting. When you think fashion, you hardly think of meat products and leave it to Miss Gaga to really blow you away. Even her shoes have meat on them. Maybe she should change her name to Lady Meats instead (just a suggestion). Curious, if she gets hungry during the award show can she just grill herself a nice steak on the barbie for everyone? But putting aside any other jokes, this outfit is truly disturbing in many ways. We have to ask, what the heck were you thinking Lady Gaga? Of all the crazy outfits she could pull off she decided a meat dress was the winner. Giant question mark on this dress!

17 Faith Hill

Faith Hill is one of the most elegant women and her fashion is generally always on point and she is utterly poised at all times--but we have to wonder, what happened here? This dress looks like she accidentally left it at a kids day care and allowed them to color it or perhaps she put it through a rainbow washing machine and out came this colorful dress! Not sure what happened here, but clearly, Faith was not in her right mind. She effortlessly floats down Red Carpets, looking flawless as ever--until she floated upon a unicorn rainbowed dress. No, it isn't a unicorn but it definitely reminds me of some Pretty Pretty Princess dress. Perhaps she allowed her kids to pick out her dress, just trying to give this fashion mishap the benefit of the doubt. You have to give her some credit, this dress may have actually been really beautiful if it weren't rainbow colors, still, we are shocked to even see her in such a disastrous dress.

16 Charlize Theron

Everything about this dress screams NO! Close your eyes people, this is definitely a fashion don't. Charlize tends to be flawless and beautiful and yet she somehow managed to shock us all. This lavender dress could have been beautiful if perhaps she got rid of whatever that is on her chest and stuck to one solid color. But the whole, flowery puffs on her chest and different shades of purple clearly does not suit her well--in fact, not sure if this dress would flatter anyone at all. Clearly, she forgot to look in a mirror before stepping outside--all is forgiven, though. As sometimes, we think something looks really great and then we get photographed and realize what a mistake it was. Think of it this way, if she hadn't worn that dress she would have never known whether it would be something great or not--so in this case, it is just another fashion don't lesson of the day and now we all know not to wear a dress like this.

15 JLo

Is she STILL Jenny from the block? Cause this dress, looks more like a peacock! We all adore JLo-- and her style generally is on point. But she obviously just came back from some tropical island and could not escape the tropical fever that so many people get, which explains the festive and tropical-ish looking print to this shockingly ugly dress. There really isn't any other way to put this, but this dress is so wrong. A major fashion don't if you must say. JLo has an amazing body, and she SHOULD show it off but she SHOULD NOT have done is wear this dress. It does not flatter her at all, and the print and style is completely and utterly wrong. As her fans, we expected her to wow us with her flawless style and then she showed off this shocking moment that truly made us question who her stylist is. But not to worry, everyone makes fashion mistakes and all you can do is learn from them. Don't worry JLo we still think you're a style icon--even if this dress says otherwise.

14 Isla Fisher

Now we all adore Isla Fisher, and her spunky character in Wedding Crashers but something about this dress does not settle well. Now, it could actually be quite beautiful, as her makeup and hair look flawless--but the dress just does not flatter her one bit. While you can easily think that Isla's dress is a classic silhouette, being it is effortlessly timeless we have to question what was she thinking? A timeless dress can often be a bit challenging and not to mention the fabric did the complete opposite for her. Although she may have just wanted to step out of her comfort zone and try a new style out for the Red Carpet, and some may love the idea of shocking others but the neutral detailing actually was a bit of a snore--as we love dramatic detail and dresses that effortlessly WOW us. Sorry Isla, but next time you want to try something new go for something simple yet dramatic.

13 Anna Chlumsky

While the color is quite beautiful--the dress is not. Not sure what is happening here but it kind of reminds us of a giant blanket or comforter that you put over your bed, or perhaps those brand new drapes you got for the interior of your home. While as mentioned above, the color is flawless--a slightly pastel look. But the material looks way too thick and the cut is all wrong. Anna has an amazing body but the dress does the complete opposite in the sense it does not flatter her one bit. We love seeing true beauty parade the Red Carpet but we also love fashionable outfits that grab our attention in an effortless way-- instead, this just made us wonder what went wrong in the dress picking department? This whole metallic pink and silver theme she has going on don't really mix well--in fact, this has to be the most shocking outfit we have seen her in.

12 Sarah Hyland

Remember when you were younger and you would wear shorts under your dresses or they already came with them and were called Skorts? Well, that trend died out a long time ago-- and it looks like Sarah is just trying to bring it back. Except it should really stay in the past--and worse, Sarah's outfit just looks down right horrifying. Whoever said wearing half a dress and capris is fashion clearly does not know fashion. Sorry, Sarah but this has got to be one of the worst outfits seen on the Red Carpet. We love her in Modern Family, as she is hilarious and always seems to wear the best outfits--so what exactly happened here on the Red Carpet? Perhaps the designer forgot the front of the dress and it was too late to change outfits so she just threw on some capris. Or maybe her legs were cold but her arms were so she went for this look instead. Not quite sure what she was thinking in this moment but it clearly made the list of worst dressed on the Red Carpet.

11 Alia Shawkat

Yikes! Talk about a bad moment. Something about this dress just screams HELP ME! It looks as if she may be going to a church event but then her car or limo broke down on the way and she had to walk miles to the church, by the time she arrived her dress was all mangled and there wasn't much she could do about it. Everything from this dress--head to toe--is a disaster. First off, it is obvious she isn't wearing a bra and that clearly does not help with the dress, next the floral print is such a hit and miss that you really have to find the perfect dress. And lastly, the thin straps and flowyness just don't scream Red Carpet. When fans think Red Carpet--they imagine glamorous dresses and flawless looks, not something that you found in the back of your closet that you wore to your first homecoming dance. If the fashion police were to comment they would not know what hit them--as we are just as shocked as everyone else is.

10 Rihanna

Please cover your eyes as this outfit or lack-there-of is definitely something no one should see. RiRi what the heck were you thinking? You effortlessly always look on point and your style is consistently up to par so why on earth would you ever wear this? As many fans question what Rihanna was thinking--we cannot wrap our brains around the fact that this is even considered fashion. Kind of looks like a giant nylon tight where she sewed them together and then just slipped it on. And the whole nothing underneath makes us rather uncomfortable--not to mention what on earth is on her head? The only thing that may help cover her up is that giant fluffy boa she has--but she isn't really using it to its benefits. Since when did the Red Carpet become clothing optional? And why do these celebrities this it is ok to wear such a thing? It boggles our minds and yet we have seen this look (mistake) on the Red Carpet time after time. Put some clothes on RiRi!

9 Amber Rose

Take a deep breath fans because you are about to be even more shocked--as we definitely are at the sights of this horrendous outfit. Please tell us, Amber Rose, what were you thinking wearing this--well, this "nothing" dress? This should not even be considered a dress as it leaves little to our imagination. It is simply just string strung together, paint silver and then draped around her voluptuous body. I would like to take this moment to point out that Amber, Miley, and Rihanna have one thing in common-- they believe in the whole "less is more" concept and they definitely are not afraid to show a little or shall we say, A LOT, of skin. While being comfortable in your body is a wonderful thing, it really isn't a fashion statement. And wearing practically nothing or perhaps Christmas tree decorations as a dress for the Red Carpet does not really scream FASHION. Try wearing something that covers slightly a little more as the moral of this story is that less isn't more--more like mortifying.

8 Cara Delevingne

As a model, it is no doubt in our minds that she has pushed her limits when it comes to fashion and those styles on the runway can be pretty out there sometimes. But that goes without saying-- some fashion trends are better left on the runway and not on the Red Carpet. For Cara, she is one of those celebs that isn't afraid to step outside the box and clearly her choice in making a fashion statement has definitely pushed the limit. This gothic, lace look really does not look good at all. In fact, it actually looks more like lingerie-- and we believe, that is for the bedroom only (not the Red Carpet). It looks as if she just woke up from a nap and realized she was missing a major event so she put on some strappy heels, quickly touched up her hair and ran out the door without ever hesitating to look into the mirror. Shocked by this outrageous outfit-- we are wondering what the heck Cara was thinking? Maybe she liked making a dramatic entrance, perhaps she bought new lingerie and wanted to show it off--whichever the reason is, she really should not have worn it at all.

7 Maitland Ward

We're sorry is this a girl's bachelorette party in Vegas or some club for girls night--as we don't think Maitland got the memo. Red Carpet is supposed to, or generally is, a huge event where celebrities dress up in glamorous dresses and parade around and we the fans ooh and ahh over the beautiful masterpieces. But instead, Maitland clearly decided to march to the beat of her own drum when she arrived at an event wearing this tight black and mesh body con dress. While it is perfect for a night on the town in Vegas with your girlfriends, it isn't really a "Red Carpet" moment. Shocked to see she would even show up in something like that. Although she is wearing clothing and it covers up more than Miley or Rihanna combined-- it also shows slightly too much and clearly, it is impossible to wear anything underneath such a dress. Maitland Ward shocked us all, and this dress definitely doesn't belong on the Red Carpet.

6 Roselyn Sanchez

This Latin beauty, Roselyn Sanchez posing on the carpet at the Latin Grammy Awards, but there was barely anything to hide from. While she tried her best to finish this piece with some pretty visible nude panties, it still does not take away from the fact that this dress should not have been worn. The moment fans saw this dress it seemed their jaws were unhinged from the near possibility of nudity--in the sense that this dress is quite the revealing one. While the design could be rather pretty it does not suit this type of event or rather maybe wearing something that isn't so revealing would be a better choice. Even though her makeup is flawless and she overall looks stunning--the dress not so much. Especially with the nude panties kind of makes your eyes go straight there instead of anywhere else. Expectations to look both classic and sexy--this dress, unfortunately, did the opposite.

5 Paris Hilton

It is no surprise that Paris Hilton loves when all eyes are on her--except for when the outfit is a complete and utter disaster. We all know how much Paris loves the attention and obviously enjoys making a scene, as she clearly decided to make a Pre-Grammy scene in this quite the extravagantly interesting ensemble. It is a good thing she at least decided to leave a little bit of something to the imagination--considering she isn't always known to be classy and it is a good thing some things are covered up. However, this whole piece--head to toe is a bit shocking. Fans believe she is some style icon--yet she clearly was not doing so well when she showed up on the Red Carpet in this outfit. And that hair-- oh my, what the heck was Paris thinking? This dress is far from stylish and on another note, the whole thing is just all wrong and makes us very uncomfortable. Thinking showgirl or one of those Television hosts that walk side to side of the stage holding up signs. Sorry, Paris!

4 Rumer Willis

Rumor has is that Rumer Willis made a total fashion mishap! Honestly, Rumer is such a beautiful woman, but why on earth would she wear such a travesty. The giant cutouts that expose her light pink panties whenever she poses to the side (as seen in the photo), and the black crop top, which actually looks like she bought the whole outfit from Forever21 (which has super cute clothes) but definitely not something for a Red Carpet event. Being the daughter of Demi Moore, we would like to believe her style would not let us down-- but, looks like Rumer wanted to show off more than we bargained for. And yes, that would be the light pink panties peeking out that look so close to nothing. What was going through her mind when she got dressed that day. It is shocking really, curious, what was Rumer thinking in wearing something like that?

3 Joanna Krupa

This Housewife sure knows how to grab our attention, as if being on a reality television show as one of Miami's hottest housewife--she definitely caught our attention, but perhaps not in the best way. Joanna Krupa, Real Housewives of Miami star got pretty close to naked as she strutted her stuff on the Red Carpet at the 2014 Pre-Grammy party. We really hope her "girls" are taped into place--the last thing we want is some Janet Jackson oops happening. The dress would not be so bad if it just covered a little bit more-- granted no skin is actually showing due to the sheer material but the black parts of the dress don't cover very much. As this Miami star completely goes commando in deciding to skip out on wearing a bra and anything else for that matter under her pre-grammy dress. Leaving little to the imagination in a sleeveless black asymmetrical Michael Costello dress which featured a strategically placed nude sheer cutout that pretty much starts at her cleavage, then snakes around her torso and alongside the side of the intricate gown.

2 Micaela Schaefer

Speechless really-- since you can't really call this design a dress as it looks more like confetti or duck tape cut in thin slices and then the belt is used to hold it all together. What is worse than a barely there dress? A dress that isn't there at all. For Micaela Schaefer, the model in 2012 decided to wear this dress that is practically made out of VHS tape, with a belt as an added accessory. We are all thinking the same thing-- but girl, what was she thinking? Showing up in a dress like that is sure to cause a huge controversy unless her mission was to cause a scene (you know how models just love all the attention). But wearing a dress, or lack thereof, definitely caused a major scene and everyone was talking about it. No one in Hollywood, especially on the red carpet gets away with a dress like that scotch free. Maybe next time, try wearing something with a little more coverage--this definitely hits the list for "what the heck were you thinking?"

1 Toni Braxton

And our final, worst dressed on the Red Carpet goes to--Toni Braxton! Honestly, slightly speechless, not sure if she decided to raid her bathroom to create a dress out of toilet paper or if she was getting out of her limo and accidentally slammed the door on her dress causing it to rip. There are a million reasons we could come up with as to why she would wear such a horrendous dress, but instead, maybe we should ask the one major question, why? Why on earth would anyone wear a dress or perhaps barely there to a Red Carpet event? From a first glance that tiny strap connecting to the front side to the back looks like part of her panties but then you look closely and realize that it actually is part of the dress. And you may think it is some to go party kind of dress except for I don't think even the Greek's would approve. Toni decided to try out this white cutout dress way back in 2001 for the Grammy Awards, but it just may have been a total mistake considering the look on her face.
