Pucker Up! 15 Of Hollywood's Best Celeb Kissers

Every single story ever written and every single movie ever told involves relationships between the characters. Whether it's platonic, filial, romantic, or lustful, there wouldn't be a story without people interacting with one another in one shape or form. One of the driving factors in hooking audience members is adding a little bit of a romantic or sexual angle to its main characters, whether it's the hero or the antagonist involved. And how is a heated or charged relationship demonstrated onscreen? Through kisses and physical touches.

Many actors have claimed that having to kiss their co-stars onscreen is one of the most awkward things to do when it comes to their job. There are bright lights and cameras focused on them, the director and other crew members surrounding them, all watching the actors lock lips and swap saliva, so yes, it's definitely strange. But it's part of the job and it's all about the acting. For sure, there are slobbery kissers, who are all tongue and saliva. But there are some actors who are apparently amazing kissers, as shared by their co-stars who have had first-hand experience.

    15 Zac Efron

He's come a long way from his days in the High School Musical film franchise, where he played heartthrob Troy Bolton, but that will probably be the role Zac Efron is most remembered for. It certainly launched his career and helped him make a name for himself as an A-lister in the Hollywood circuit, not to mention a constant in sexiest men lists. After all, he won an MTV Movie Award for Best Shirtless Performance and he accepted his reward by stripping off his shirt. His personal life has always been tabloid fodder as well, due in part to his romance with his High School Musical onscreen partner Vanessa Hudgens, who became his girlfriend in real life for a time. Hudgens admitted on The Ellen Show that her ex is a really good kisser. And their co-star Ashley Tisdale agreed with Hudgens.

    14 Kirsten Dunst

Remember the time Kirsten Dunst was an adolescent playing an ages-old vampire in the suspense drama, Interview with the Vampire? Of her role, she said that kissing Brad Pitt was not a pleasant experience, to which a battalion of his fan girls protested vehemently. But her kissing skills seemed to have gotten better as she transitioned into adulthood. As a child, Dunst appeared in other high profile films like Little Women and Jumanji then as a teenager, she was in Bring It On, Get Over It, and Crazy/Beautiful. Perhaps the role she's best known for is that of Mary Jane Watson to Toby Maguire's Spiderman. For the film, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, Dunst's co-star Simon Pegg gushed over her kissing abilities. Of kissing her, he said, “If I had to rate kissing Kirsten out of 10, I wouldn't hesitate on giving her a clear 10. I loved it-she has the best lips ever.”

    13  Milo Ventimiglia

He's made his mark in both TV and movies, though it's in TV that he has found a bigger amount of success. Milo Ventimiglia's good looks have certainly made him swoon-worthy, especially in his earlier roles, such as his portrayal of Jess Mariano in the TV series Gilmore Girls. As far as film roles go, he appeared in the film Rocky Balboa, playing the boxer's teenage son, but his big break came when he played Peter Petrelli in the TV show Heroes. These days, Ventimiglia plays Jack Pearson in the hit TV drama This Is Us. Mandy Moore, who plays his wife Rebecca on the show, gushed that he's her best onscreen kiss so far, saying she feels very comfortable with him. And when asked if he uses some tongue action, she said that he does sometimes, when the scene calls for it.

    12 Natalie Portman

She's one of the few Hollywood stars who has the entire package: beauty, talent, and brains, as proven by her very prestigious Harvard degree. And getting an Ivy League education was certainly no mean feat, considering Natalie Portman was a child and teenage actress. But she put her education ahead of her career, even skipping the premier of Star Wars Episode One, in which she starred as Queen Amidala, so she could study for her final exams at Harvard. It was full steam ahead after graduating, as she won a Golden Globe for her role in the 2004 drama Closer and an Academy Award for her lead role in the psychological thriller Black Swan. Her co-star Mila Kunis said that Portman was a “lovely kisser” and for the film Garden State, her co-star Zach Braff likewise gushed about what a great kisser she was.

    11  Meryl Streep

Whoever criticizes Meryl Streep in any way (hello, Donald Trump) must be living under a rock because she is the cream of the crop in terms of Hollywood royalty, a true hall of famer of an actress. She completely becomes her character in each role she tackles, which makes her so amazing in her roles. As proof of her abilities, she has won an unbelievable amount of awards and accolades, and deservedly so. She has won a whopping three Academy Awards. One for Best Supporting Actress (for the film Kramer vs. Kramer) and two Best Actress Awards, for Sophie's Choice and for The Iron Lady. Apparently, not only is she a brilliant actress, but according to Sandra Bullock, she's a great kisser too! The two actresses locked lips in the 15th annual Critics' Choice Awards in 2010.

    10 Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher made his way into the public's hearts when he played Michael Kelso in the hit sitcom That '70s Show. He took his brand of comedy to the big screen in the 2003 comedy film Dude, Where's My Car, which further increased his popularity as a comedian. He showed his serious side in the film The Butterfly Effect, which garnered him critical acclaim. He has done a string of romantic comedies, including Just Married, What Happened in Vegas, No Strings Attached, and New Year's Eve, which had an all-star cast. He had to lock lips with Lea Michele, who admitted that “he's a great kisser and has no fear. He just went right in and kissed me and I was like, “Okay Ashton, go right ahead!” Though he's kissed many leading ladies, but he only gets to kiss his wife Mila Kunis in real life.

    9 Kristen Stewart

People either love her or hate her, but whatever the case, it doesn't change the fact that Kristen Stewart is pretty famous. Those who love her are most likely fans of the Twilight film franchise, in which Stewart played Bella Swan to Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen. Those who find her annoying probably don't like the fact that she has that perennial non-smiling facial expression that gives her the image of being haughty and aloof. Many girls envy her for being given the opportunity to kiss her two hot male co-stars. Aside from Pattinson, she also had a kissing scene with Taylor Lautner, who played werewolf Jacob Black. Though Pattinson has never commented on what it was like to kiss Stewart, Lautner was more than willing to dish, saying about the experience, “That was the best. She's a great kisser.”

    8  Ian Somerhalder

Someone who looks as hot as Ian Somerhalder is definitely expected to have the kissing skill that befits his piercing gray eyes, chiseled mouth, and amazing cheekbones or else it would be a complete inconsistency with his image. He first hit the TV scene when he played Boone Carlyle in the TV drama Lost, but it was his role as Damon Salvatore in the supernatural drama The Vampire Diaries that catapulted him to immense popularity. It didn't help that he began dating his co-star Nina Dobrev, with whom he had an insane amount of chemistry. He has locked lips with other co-stars apart from Dobrev and one of them, Claire Holt, revealed that “he's a really good kisser… Amazing, wonderful kisser.” His wife Nikki Reed must feel especially lucky that in real life, she's the one he gets to kiss!

    7 Alexander Skarsgard

He comes from a family of actors, so is it any wonder that Alexander Skarsgard was bitten by the acting bug too? His father is Stellan Skarsgard and he has three brothers Bill, Gustaf, and Valter who are also in the business. Alexander is most known for his role as vampire Eric Northman on the HBO series True Blood and as of 2016, his most notable film roles are for the films War On Everyone and The Legend of Tarzan. Many may have forgotten that back in 2009, he appeared in Lady Gaga's “Paparazzi” music video as the hottie who got to make out with the singer. In an interview with a Swedish magazine, she said that he was “a very good kisser.” She went on to say that if he was beside her right there and then, she would kiss the daylights out of him.

    6  Shia LaBeouf

Many have wondered at Shia LaBeouf's unusual name, to which he explains that his parents were hippies. He got his start on TV, when he appeared on Disney Channel's Even Stevens, a role which won him a Daytime Emmy Award in 2003. After a series of small roles in films, he got his big break when he signed up as Sam Witwicky, the lead character in the Transformers film franchise. All films were huge box office hits, making LaBeouf one of Hollywood's hottest young actors. His leading lady in the films was Megan Fox, with whom he had several romantic scenes with amidst the decepticons attacking the autobots. Of LaBeouf's kissing skills, Fox told Metro that “he's the best kisser ever.” He has also appeared as Indiana Jones' son in the film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.

    5 Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson certainly has to thank books that were turned into films for his initial success in the business. He first got noticed by moviegoers when he played Cedric Diggory in the 2005 film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Too bad his character was killed off, leaving many of his new fans' hopes dashed that he would appear in the ensuing films. But the British actor got his superstar breakthrough when he got the lead role of vampire Edward Cullen in the film adaptations of the Twilight novels. He has gone on to portraying other roles in films of very different genres, films like Remember Me, Water for Elephants, and the 2012 drama film Bel Ami, which also starred Christina Ricci. Of kissing Pattinson onscreen, Ricci said, “He's a sweet guy and super funny… and a really good kisser.”

    4 Johnny Depp

He's had a stellar career that has spanned more than three decades, first gaining recognition in the TV series 21 Jump Street, which catapulted him to teen idol status. Wanting to shed that heartthrob image, he has since evolved as an actor, purposely choosing to take on peculiar and unconventional roles in films like Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland, and the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise. Lately though, his personal life has been given more attention than his career, having just finalized his divorce from Amber Heard after a tumultuous marriage. As an actor, his female co-stars certainly rave about his kissing skills. Kiera Knightley got to kiss him in the film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and so did Marion Cotillard for the 2009 film Public Enemies.

    3  James McAvoy

She's mainly played characters in the supporting role, but this doesn't mean she was any less endearing in any of them. Moviegoers first took notice of Selma Blair in the 1999 teen drama Cruel Intentions, in which she played the painfully naïve virgin Cecile Caldwell. She has appeared in other films, such as Down To You with Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Julia Stiles; Legally Blonde, where she played Reese Witherspoon's (as Elle Woods) rival-turned-friend; and The Sweetest Thing, where she played the friend of Cameron Diaz's and Christina Appelgate's characters. She switched over to TV, playing the lead role in the remake of the TV show Kath and Kim and on the sitcom Anger Management, but it's her role in Cruel Intentions that she's most know for. She was also part of the one of the movie's most famous scenes, where she got to make out with Sarah Michelle Gellar. Gellar was all praises for Blair's kissing skills.

    1 Emma Watson

Even when she first appeared as Hermione Granger in the first Harry Potter film, she already showed signs of being a potential beauty and popular actress when she grew up. Emma Watson is one of the lucky few actresses who were successfully able to transition from child star to adult actress. She has proven that she's not just a pretty face or a good actress, but she's got brains as well, having graduated from Brown University. She has appeared in the films The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Noah and will be getting top billing as Belle in the star-studded cast of Disney's live-action film Beauty and the Beast. As early as her Harry Potter days though, she got to have a couple of kissing scenes with her male co-stars. Daniel Radcliffe said that kissing her was, “quite enjoyable… She was very good as well, I might add. It was passionate… It was vigorous. It was great!”
