Everyone's favourite Canadian rapper, 29-year-old Drake, has had an interesting dating life. He's been linked with more women than any of his other rivals and fans would give almost anything just to spend one night with him. There is no denying he is the ultimate heartthrob.

But what is it really like dating Drake? Well one of his ex's actually took him to court - Ericka Lee sued the Started From The Bottom rapper in 2012 for using her voice without permission in his song Marvins Room. There is also his on-again-off-again relationship with Rihanna. He just comes across like the type of guy who isn't willing to commit. However, if you are lucky enough to get with Drake then here are the following things you should expect. 

11 He Is Looking For A Toronto Girl 

Drake loves Toronto - well he was born and raised there. His favourite team is the Toronto Raptors and his latest album Views From The 6 has cover art showing him sitting on top of Toronto's landmark, the CN Tower (which also resulted in some hilarious memes online).

He told W magazine, "Most people I know stay in Toronto. I plan to spend the rest of my life there. The talk, the smell, the sound that comes out of that city is home to me. When I think about the girls I want to get romantic with, it's a girl from Toronto who knows what I'm talking about when we drive around the city." So listen up ladies - if you want a shot with Drake you either have to be from his home city or at least brush up on your local knowledge.

10 He Prefers Older Women 

Don't let Drake's grossed out reaction to the now infamous Madonna kiss fool you - he actually prefers an older woman. One of this first loves was some fifteen years his senior. He told MTV, "I used to talk to this woman that was 35-plus. I'm a mature individual."

Drake was just 20-years-old at the time, he added: "It was kind of, like, what she saw in me,” I say in a song, 'She just wants that feeling back, I make her feel young again.' We were doing things young people do, like just going swimming late at night. Just chilling, drinking, like kicking it, talking. But it was so intriguing for me. The appeal was obvious. I think I can also maybe even say I felt guilty to the fact that it was a bit of a story to tell, that's why I was doing it. But I like older women, period. I never end up dating - seriously - women that are my age."

9 His Fans Will Go Crazy You're With Him

If you want your relationship with Drake to remain private then whatever you do - don't let him tweet about it. In 2013, actress Kat Dennings, who starred in 2 Broke Girls and The 40-Year-Old Virgin, found this out when she went on just one date with Drake, he wrote a tweet about it and her timeline exploded. Hoards of his fans were expressing their upset over Kat dating their dream guy, some of the comments even got quite hateful. It's safe to say there was no second date.

8 He Is Restless 

When you're dating Drake don't expect to find his off switch as it doesn't exist. The self described creative genius is constantly trying to better himself and move on to the next challenging project. He told W magazine, "I'm always thinking, How do I top what I've done? How do I make this thing stronger? I ask myself, 'Why does Adele's album go diamond, and how do I do that? How do I create art that makes minds stretch further?'"

If you're equally as driven and passionate about work then this could be a match made in heaven, otherwise this is one guy who has no time for laziness.

7 He Doesn't Care If You're Not Single 

When Drake rapped on his track with Alicia Keys, Un-thinkable: "You know life is what we make it, and a chance is like a picture, it'd be nice if you just take it" he really wasn't kidding. In 2014, Drake started dating ex-stripper Lira Mercer when she was in a relationship with NBA star Pat Beverley. Mercer had quit stripping when she started getting serious with Beverley, but then Drake stole her and she quickly moved into his condo.

Fans called out their relationship when she posted a selfie dressed in just her underwear from his bathroom and he later posted a topless selfie from exactly the same room. However it was not meant to be and Drake soon moved on to luring Rihanna away from Chris Brown after the two had rekindled their romance.

6 He Loves Going For Long Drives 

Expect when you're dating Drake to spend a lot of time in the car - this is his favourite thing to do when he needs to unwind. Currently he hasn't been able to get behind the wheel of his car as his security team help him get around. He told Fader magazine, "I've been deprived of driving for a long time. Riding to the studio with a driver and security and stuff, you lose something." He also added, "Driving was just one of the most pivotal things in my writing life." So don't worry, even if you live miles away from Drake he will still appreciate the drive out to see you.

5 His Home Is His Palace

Drake's home is legendary. Named the "YOLO estate" and tucked away in the Hidden Hills, California. Drake had his eyes on the estate before he became a huge name. He told Rolling Stone magazine that back in 2007 he searched the world's craziest residential pools and kept an image on his computer's desktop. Then five years later he moved in.

GQ magazine went to interview the star at his estate and they described the majestic home as: "It's own fantasia, a single-level ranch that sprawls in various wings over 7,500 square feet, from the game room to the gym to Drake's master bedroom with Jacuzzi. The pool is like a scene out of Waterworld, with a bar inside a grotto, waterfalls, and a slide that drops thirty feet through the rock. On the property are stables, a mechanical bull, and a movie theater. There's an air-conditioned doghouse and a wine cellar." A movie theater sounds the perfect place to Netflix and chill with Drake.

4 He Is Overly Critical 

Be prepared to take a lot of criticism when you're dating Drake. He's no perfectionist but he does like to have his say on other people's work and he gets this from his mother who is a teacher.

He told Pitchfork magazine, "It's just channeling my mom. Like, I'd bring home an essay that I did really well on, and my mom would read it through and give me notes back-on the essay that I just scored like 94 on! So sometimes I just do that. I'll hear people's stuff and… I'll just give my interpretation of how I would have done it… It's just, literally, I've recognized the potential and the greatness in this piece, and I want to take my stab at it too."

If you're dating Drake then expect to meet all of his friends - although you will most likely now who they are anyway. He is on BFF status with 2 Chainz, A$AP Rocky, Beyonce and Jay-Z, Kanye West and the entire Kardashian-Jenner tribe.

Drake has been known to get a little too close to his friends though - his relationship with Rihanna started off as a friendship. Then last year, he was caught out flirting all night with Kendall Jenner at her 20th birthday party. Hollywood Life reported that the two had a steamy dance off together to his hit Hotline Bling before they captured adorable moments together in her pop-up photo booth.

2 He Doesn't Like Attention Seekers 

One of Drake's most famous lines is: "Hoes Like Attention. Women Want Respect." One of the main reasons he split from his ex Dollicia Bryan was because she bought too much drama into his life. Drake is close friends with the Kardashian family, so obviously he took their side when Kylie Jenner's boyfriend, rapper Tyga, was captured on camera grabbing Dollicia's derriere.

There was no reason for Dollicia to upload the photo to her Instagram (considering there were many others of the pair just standing side by side) other than to stir up trouble. Dollicia was soon given the boot from Drake proving he just wants a girl who doesn't need to disrespect a relationship for attention.

Drake loves his women full-bodied (just Google search his ex's Maliah Michel and Dollicia Bryan) and can't get enough of the curves. He sings on his track 6pm In New York: "I'm with a girl whose a$$ is so big it's partly embarrassin'". During the video for Nicki Minaj's Anaconda, he got a little too carried away when he received that notorious lap dance. She told MTV news, "Drake, you know… he's an actor. So he did a good job of containing himself. But after the lap dance he was excited like hell."

His previous fling with Serena Williams also proved that he has a thing for a strong body. The tennis champion had previously spoken about the love of her own curves. She told The Mirror, "I've been like this my whole life, and I embrace me and I love how I look. I love that I am a full woman, and I'm strong and I'm powerful and I'm beautiful at the same time." Well, it's not just her who loves it, as Drake can't seem to get enough too.
