11 Times You Were THAT Girl
We try very hard not to be "that girl" but sometimes it happens, even to the best of us. Those moments are usually met with eye rolls and mutters from the ones unfortunate enough to be around us. While we all try our hardest not to be stereotyped and to stay away from moments that could brand us as obnoxious, we're not always successful. Having friends around to keep you from making a fool of yourself is definitely a way to go but more likely than not your friends are contributing to this behaviors so it's really up to you to keep yourself from being "that girl."
11 They're playing my song
Having a great time out with the girls when the latest Justin Bieber song comes on and you excitedly shout "they're playing my song." Congrats! No one wants to be your friend anymore and you have no one to blame but yourself. Besides humiliating your girls, now everyone knows you're taste in music is questionable at best. Just remember that somethings are better left unspoken.
10 I'm not drunk! Seriously!
You can't seem to walk a straight line but insist on making big decisions because you're "not drunk!" It's always fun for your friends to have to convince you to get in the back seat so that pedestrians can go on living. Of course, you're still unhappy and manage to drive everyone crazy on your way home as you relentlessly try to get everyone to agree with everything you say! Well, you can't, but now you've managed to keep everyone from wanting to hang out with you, ever again.
9 Can you take one more, but with the flash?
Taking selfies is just not enough because it's not going to get all your good angles so this is when you go to your friends or complete strangers and as them to take a photo. Of course, the picture never ends up being good enough so you ask them to take one with the flash because lighting is everything. However, you're still not satisfied because none of the pictures turned out too well and you have nothing to show for your night out.
8 If you're going down you're taking everyone with you
You're out and about and should be having fun but instead you're raining on everyone's parade because life's just not going the way you want. You could just pretend to have fun for everyone's sake and then go home and mope around but you insist on depressing everyone around you. These people are no longer interested in seeing you so now you have something else to pout over.
7 "I don't need a man to complete me"
You love yourself, we get it and are pretty happy for you but can you not declare your love for yourself constantly. Of course being an independent woman should be celebrated but less talking and more doing. Constantly declaring how happy you are alone is going to make others wonder if you're just lying to yourself.
6 Positive vibes
Your playlist consists of meditations galore and you have declared Buddha your best friend, but at what cost? You're probably driving everyone around you away with your new found happiness because, let's face it, no one wants to be around you since you're pretty annoying now.
5 I love sports, really.
If you're now suddenly into sports and craft beer that's great but no one around you wants to hear about it all the time. Sure sports consist of hot guys running around and getting all sweaty so it's not hard to understand why you're a changed woman now. However, if you go any deeper than the superficial prepare to be shut down by your girlfriends because even though you're now a sports fanatic it doesn't mean your friends are.
4 Drunk crying
You're drunk and while that's annoying enough in itself you've also decided you're going to cry, a lot. You're drunk, you're crying, and you're pushing away everyone you considered a friend, one tear at a time. You're friends don't want to pull you away from the edge of the bridge you've landed on after every fun night turned to disaster. Don't be the girl on the side of the curb crying your eyes out because the waiter got your drink wrong and your boyfriend isn't calling.
3 She just doesn't care
You were once caring and considerate but now you've turned as cold as ice and just don't seem to care. Lovely. You were barely tolerable then and now hanging with you seems about just as much fun as counting pennies. It's liberating to not "care" but it's not much fun for those around you who probably still have feelings. Pretend you care even if you don't because that's what normal people do in society!
2 She screams when she spots her best friend
Sure you guys live like five minutes away but the minute you see her around the neighborhood you run to her screaming as though you don't just see her like everyday. You're best friend is probably around you more than anyone else so please spare everyone the annoyance of your squeals. Everyone around knows how special she is to you and how much you love her so just give her a quick little hug and keep it moving.
1 I'm wearing this gown… to class
Ever sat in class in your t-shirt and lounging pants only to see some girl enter the room with a full face of make-up and an outfit so over the top RuPaul wouldn't dare! Well than, you're probably that girl. Just so you know, the people behind you are upset now since they're going to fail next week's pop quiz because they couldn't see the board through your overly teased hair.
We all have those moments where it's hard to contain ourselves so we do some embarrassing over the top things we regret. Perhaps it's best to think before we act or react to save face and keep everyone around us from looking for the fastest exit!
