12 Funny Celeb Pet Peeves
Most of us can agree that yeah, there are certain things in life that are super annoying. We can't do much about it, and complaining a ton isn't going to help the matter much (and will probably just annoy everyone around us). But pet peeves are a totally different story. When it comes to these kind of phobias, everyone has their top picks and stuff that really gets under their skin. It's totally different fore everyone -- for you, it could be a certain sound that drives you absolutely bonkers, and for your best friend, it could be the sound of people chewing something crunchy. If there's one thing that all pet peeves have in common, it's that they really make zero sense, but seem totally valid to the person. Celebs, of course, have their own pet peeves, too, even if we might not think about that. We tend to think that stars are pretty perfect people, but they get annoyed by everyday life stuff just like us, and they sit in traffic, order in restaurants, get phone calls, etc. Here are 12 celebs and their biggest pet peeves. Maybe you share some of these? Some of these are absolutely hilarious, but all of them are at least mildly funny and entertaining, so read on.
12 Keira Knightley
Keira Knightley's pet peeve is a good one: she doesn't like to accidentally run into a stranger when walking down the street. She's worried about when someone walking in front of you stops suddenly and you end up tripping. That's definitely the worst. Another totally legit pet peeve: when you're walking at a totally normal pace and slow walkers get in your way.
11 George Lopez
Whatever you do, don't try to share food with George Lopez… or at least don't take anything off his plate without asking. George is an only child and so he didn't have to deal with being forced to share or super annoying siblings who always want to steal your snacks. We're not sure anyone loves it when other people try to eat off their plate, but for George Lopez, he really hates it when someone steals anything off his plate.
10 Chandra Wilson
A lot of us try to avoid talking on the phone as much as possible these days, but Chandra Wilson goes a step further and always expects a voicemail if her phone rings. She gets really frustrated when someone calls and doesn't leave a message. We wonder how she feels when you get a call, don't answer it, and the person texts you immediately? She also doesn't like bad drivers, but again, who does?
9 Jamie Kennedy
Jamie Kennedy seems to take issue with the Mexican fast food spot Baja Fresh for not giving away guacamole, although charging for guac is pretty standard at a lot of Mexican joints. He doesn't get why you get free salsa and sour cream but not guac. We tend to agree because guac is pretty amazing.
8 Lance Bass
Most of us can relate to the former boy band star's pet peeve: bad drivers. Hey, that's one thing he has in common with Chandra Wilson. He has shared that he doesn't get on certain highways because he knows he's just going to be super vocal about how annoyed he is. He has said that his hometown of Orlando has tons of tourists/bad drivers, too. Don't get him started on people who email and text when driving, either. He's happy to mostly live in NYC since it's not such a car-centric place.
7 Frankie Muniz
Frankie Muniz started racing cars after Malcolm in the Middle ended, so it's not super surprising that his pet peeve has to do with slow drivers. He has said that he's dying to buy a motorcycle so he can go fast on the L.A. freeway and not have to deal with his pet peeve altogether. A Texas A&M study actually figured out that the average person in Los Angeles spends $1,300 a year from lost productivity and shelling out for gas, so wanting to go faster is a pretty reasonable desire.
6 Kelly Clarkson
The American Idol winner and amazing singer sounds like someone that you'd want to be friends with. But you'll never have a wardrobe malfunction if you're around her. She doesn't even like seeing someone with a clothing tag without going nuts and fixing it -- even if that person is a total and complete stranger. We wonder how she would feel about people walking around with toilet paper accidentally stuck to their shoe?
5 Will.I.Am
Will.I.Am spoke out to BET about his dislikes, which sound like they're pretty focused on the bathroom. He has said that he hates "wet sinks" because he wants people to wipe the sink off after washing their hands. Does he mean inside the sink or around the sink? Unclear, but probably both, we're guessing.
4 Dita Von Teese
Dita Von Teese sounds like a real stickler when it comes to grammar. She's not super ridiculous, though -- her pet peeve is only people who speak English as their first language and still have awful grammar. She doesn't like when people mess up their/there/they're which is a totally legit complaint.
3 Oprah Winfrey
What does the Talk Show Queen hate the most? Gum. She has said that just the idea of having some gum makes her want to be sick, and that she also hates all the other annoying stuff that people do when chewing gum -- loud noises, smacking, or even blowing bubbles/pulling it out. She has said that this frustration stems from her childhood: her grandma actually would keep gum that had already been chewed in her cabinet.
2 Usher
The smooth singer claims that he's not a germaphobe. But his pet peeve definitely makes him sound like the biggest germaphobe around: he needs to clean restaurant silverware himself before using it. He doesn't like going somewhere to eat and finding out that the silverware isn't what he calls "new" -- so does that mean it's dirty or it's clearly been used by tons of people, and the restaurant should buy new cutlery? Not sure. But he asks the waiter for boiling water and then he cleans them himself. That's not high-mainatence. Nope, not at all.
1 Beyonce
If you don't want to irritate Beyonce the next time you guys hangout (lol), you should nix the complaints. The star said to Complex magazine, "Whenever I feel bad, I use that feeling to motivate me to work harder. I only allow myself one day to feel sorry for myself. People who complain really get on my nerves." Not to mention, that's pretty good life advice in general to be following. But we always want to do whatever Beyonce does, right?
