These days, the lines between tasteful art and XXX films have been significantly blurring in the world that is Hollywood. To portray a love scene, the actress (and sometimes the actor, as well) almost always has to be naked and the act has to be shown in full-blown detail. The director and even the actors will justify it as being true to the storyline and being as realistic as possible. But the more prudent ones see it as plain gratuitous smut, meant to titillate and rake in the profits.

It doesn't help that the actors themselves are more than willing to bare it all in front of the cameras. Whether it's for a photoshoot or a TV show or a film, these actresses have admitted that they actually enjoy stripping down to their birthday suit or they don't mind shedding their clothes at all in front of others for varying reasons, the most common one being the script called for it.
