13 Celeb Couples Who Didn't Make It Halfway Through 2016

It's a sad day when Hollywood couples announce that after all the fun and romantic moments, usually caught by the paps of course, they're splitting up. Even though you don't know these people, you tend to care about celeb break ups. Well, maybe you care about some more than others, of course, since you can't love every celebrity under the sun. But celebrity break ups are pretty rough on everyone, including the fans and the media, since journalists have to tread lightly and ask questions about where it all went wrong… all without offending the actresses and actors who, let's face it, can sometimes act like more diva than artist. Although it may only be April 2016, there are a few celeb couples that haven't made it until the end of the year. Okay, more than a few. Here are 13 celeb couples that have already said goodbye to each other this year.

13 Marisa And Dean Zanuck

Unless you're a Real Housewives superfan (and, well, you should be), you wouldn't recognize these names, but the couple appeared on the Beverly Hills version of the popular reality franchise. Marisa kept saying that she wasn't all that into him and he wasn't the kind of guy she normally dated… which apparently didn't work out all that well for either of them, since now they're getting divorced.

12 Lea Michele And Matthew Paetz

The world is basically still mourning the death of Lea's former Glee co-star and boyfriend Corey Monteith, and so this celebrity break up seems even more tragic since we all thought that she had found love again. We just really wanted her to be okay, since getting over the death of your boyfriend/BFF/soulmate is really not all that pleasant. Lea and Matthew have been together since he was in a music video of hers back in 2014, but this is one love story that just didn't have a happily ever after.

11 Khloe Kardashian And James Harden

Apparently Khloe has joined the ranks of the single and hopeful and has an online dating profile on the website OkCupid. We really wonder what her Inbox looks like. She broke up with James Harden a few months ago in February and they had been together since last summer, so that was a pretty good chunk of time. Apparently they were both just super, super slammed with work… but she's not too busy to check out OkCupid. So there's that.

10 Khloe Kardashian And Lamar Odom

Yup, Khloe again. Well, she never technically divorced Lamar, and so this one definitely deserves a mention. According to sources, Khloe wants to finally divorce him now because she's not into his lifestyle. Of course, as everyone knows, she decided to hold off on the official split last fall when he got into some serious trouble and almost died. There was definitely some serious speculation that this meant they would get back together, but now we seem to finally know that a happy ending isn't in the cards for them.

Did you know that Frances Bean Cobain (aka the daughter of Nirvana grunge heartthrob Kurt) was married? Well, you do now… because she's getting divorced. They hadn't even been together for two full years and last month they announced that they're splitting up. That seems even more tragic considering Frances' difficult childhood and life so far, not to mention the fact that she has a pretty fraught relationship with rocker mom Courtney Love.

8 Liza Weil And Paul Adelstein

Liza, aka Bonnie on How To Get Away With Murder and more obviously Paris from Gilmore Girls, is divorcing Paul, who you might know from shows like Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce and Private Practice. Apparently the Shonda Rhimes connection was not enough to keep the couple together. They've got a five-year-0ld daughter but Liza is keeping things super reasonable and wants joint custody.

Was this the most attractive celeb couple ever? Well, maybe not since celebrities are generally super attractive, but they were definitely pretty cute. You know Kirstin Dunst as a 2000s star in several rom-coms and you probably best know this hunk from the cheesy yet tragic musical film Country Strong.

Talk about a super celeb couple: Casey, Ben Affleck's brother, and Summer, Joaquin's sister, were married for a decade. But no more. They had been together even longer, since the year 2000, which really feels like a lifetime ago. Maybe that was just too many Hollywood connections for one couple?

She, of course, decided to leave her show The Vampire Diaries after starring on it for a few years, but like Khloe and James, apparently the couple was just too busy working. Poor Drew. She's had tons of success in her life -- she's appeared in countless movies and has her own production company, Flowers Films -- but that success has never translated to marriage. She's now getting divorced from her husband of four years, Will, which is super sad because she always told the media that he was the kind of person she needed (he was stable, apparently) and she had chosen correctly this time. Oops. Let's hope that her next marriage is for the long haul.
