It is a fact that it sucks when our parents embarrass us in front of our friends. It's also annoying when they do it in front of our families but when with our friends, it hits us right in the gut. We want to melt. Or run for the hills. But really, being embarrassed by your own parents is nothing compared to what these stars had to go through with their moms and dads. Not only were they embarrassed, their careers were ruined. Some of them might still be in the spotlight today but we can easily tell that something is going on behind the cameras. Something like a fire blazing between a mother and her child. Oh. the price of being a celebrity. 14 Ireland Baldwin

Ireland Baldwin is a 21-year-old model and actress. She is also the daughter of actor Alec Baldwin and model/actress Kim Basinger. But if you think Ireland has the best things in life because of her famous family, well, that's not really the case. Apparently, Alec is fond of calling his daughter names. Terrible names. He loves to call them on the phone just to tell them they're a “thoughtless little pig” and, yes, those were the exact words said. This abusive message was leaked to the public thanks to mommy Kim, but she didn't do it to reveal the bad act of the dad and protect Ireland. She leaked it so the media would notice her and her relationship with Alec and hopefully, Alec would notice her too. It turns out, Kim just used the terrible phone message Ireland received from her dad to get back with Alec. Wow… that is messed up.

13 Macaulay Culkin

We all love it when our parents support the things that we love, even when it's not what they want for us. But sadly, that's not what happened to Macaulay Culkin. According to reports, the Home Alone star wasn't that happy with what he's doing, especially with the fact that his dad (who was also the manager) signed him up for all the projects he could find - TV roles, commercials, everything.
