15 Celebs Who Totally Transformed Since Their Teenage Years

While every single baby and young child is adorable, most individuals go through an awkward stage at a particular time in their life - their teenage years. Your teenage years are often a time when your body is rapidly changing, you're experimenting with different looks and hairstyles and learning all about make-up or grooming products, and the end result can often be a bit… well… cringe-worthy.

You may think that you're the only one who had to suffer through an awkward phase before you developed into the incredible adult that you are, but you're wrong - even celebrities who look flawless now and constantly slay in every picture went through a phase in their teenage years, and some of them looked a lot different then than they do now.

Part of it is just the general process of growing up and growing into your body parts and face. Part of it is figuring out what works for you, for your particular body type and face shape and overall personality. The celebrities on this list eventually figured it out and became the stone cold foxes they are now, but back in the day? They were just average, awkward teenagers.

15 Rashida Jones

Rashida Jones is pretty darn incredible. You probably know her best for showing off her comedic chops week after week on popular sitcoms including Parks and Recreation and The Office, where she played nurse Ann Perkins and Karen Filippelli, respectively. While she looks ultra glam on the red carpets now, Jones confesses that in her younger years, she was a nerd who absolutely loved reading and computers. Her talent eventually landed her on the Hollywood A-List, but before that, she also earned a degree from the prestigious Harvard University. She's penned a comic book series and a screenplay, she's produced a documentary, she's released awesome 90s-inspired music videos… I mean, there's pretty much nothing this woman can't do. She's far surpassed the average actress and is involved in tons of interesting projects, not just in front of the camera but writing and producing behind it. Perhaps her awkward teenage years were a bit of a blessing, because they allowed her to develop strong passions that served her very well later in life.

14 Ryan Seacrest

Ryan Seacrest is constantly rubbing elbows with every major celebrity in the business, thanks to his gigs as a radio personality and television host. He's perhaps best known as being the host for the reality television show American Idol for countless seasons, but he also lends his personality to the public on his morning show On Air with Ryan Seacrest. He's also been heavily involved with the E! network for many years, so you've likely seen him on the red carpet dishing with all the A-Listers at various Hollywood events. Despite not being an actor or musician or something along those lines, he's definitely made it onto the A-List, and is a household name at this point. From his perma-tan to his white teeth and perfectly coiffed hair, Seacrest is every bit as groomed as the celebrities he covers. Okay, Joe Manganiello's transformation from awkward teenager to super sexy Hollywood star is perhaps one of the most incredible. Awhile back, he dug an old picture out of the archives from when he was a skinny teenager with thick glasses and an unfortunate haircut who was just happy to be on his school basketball team. Looking at the picture of teenage Joe Manganiello, you'd likely assume he grew up to be slightly nerdy with a fairly average physique. Well, that couldn't be further from the truth. Even when Snoop Dogg opts to put a suit on, he has a certain amount of swagger that this sweet young boy in a suit and tie just doesn't have. While he's now happily married to certified girl boss Amal Clooney, for decades George Clooney was basically Hollywood's hottest bachelor. Sure, there was always a younger model entering the entertainment industry, but Clooney was a classic - he snagged gorgeous woman after gorgeous woman because he was strong, sexy, and had a lot of charm.
