    15 Cutest Real-Life Disney Couples

Disney has always been in the business of bringing happiness and laughter into the lives of its customers, especially the young and the young at heart. After all, Walt Disney did create cartoons for the sole purpose of entertaining children. The Disney brand has impressively expanded its reach into fields and industries probably way beyond Mr. Disney's imagination could fathom and it's today, the biggest media conglomerate in the world. From cartoons to amusement parks to live-action TV shows and blockbuster films, Disney has something for almost every demographic.

It's not uncommon for love and romance to bloom onset, especially between two co-stars who play love interests in front of the camera. But it makes it even more romantic when the relationship is between two young Disney co-stars. After all, doesn't Disney pride itself in handing out happy endings? Many of these puppy love relationships have ended, but it doesn't stop the actors' fans from sighing wistfully when they remember shipping their favorites together.

15 Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus

It's hard being part of a singing group because it's so easy to get overshadowed by other members-especially if those other band members are your brothers. But the Jonas brothers are one of the few boy bands that saw all its three members reach equal levels of success and fame. Nick Jonas is the youngest of the three brothers and after the group disbanded, he launched a solo music career, doing a re-release of his self-titled album Nick Jonas X2 in 2015. This afforded him the status of “sex symbol.” He and his brothers made their acting debut on the Disney series Hannah Montana, where he met Miley Cyrus, who's today one of the most popular actresses/singers in the world. Jonas and Cyrus dated for a year between 2006 and 2007, but their relationship allegedly ended when he broke up with her so he could date Selena Gomez.

14 Emily Osment and Tony Oller

Emily Osment got her start as a child actress in films like Spy Kids 2 and Spy Kids 3-D before going on to co-star in the Disney Channel sitcom Hannah Montana, which starred Miley Cyrus. Osment played Lilly Truscott, the best friend of Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana and was also part of Hannah's entourage. She reprised her role in the movie version of the show and also appeared in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Dadnapped. Anthony “Tony” Oller played Danny on Disney Channel's As the Bell Rings, which also featured Demi Lovato. He also appeared in the films Beneath the Darkness and The Purge, and was also part of the band MKTO before it broke up in March 2017. Osment and Oller reportedly started dating in 2009, making an adorable couple, but sadly, the romance was apparently short-lived. They broke things off soon after getting together.

13 Olivia Holt and Luke Benward

Beginning her acting career in theater, Olivia Holt moved on to appearing in TV commercials at the tender age of 10 before being cast in Disney XD's Kickin' It, a martial arts comedy where she played the main character Kim in the first three seasons. She also appeared in the 2012 Disney Channel Original Movie, Girl vs. Monster, again playing the lead character Skylar Lewis, a young teenager who soon discovers that her family members are actually monster hunters. She also appeared in yet another Disney Channel comedy series, I Didn't Do It. Luke Benward, on the other hand, won a Young Artist Award for Best Young Ensemble in a Feature Film for the movie How to Eat Fried Worms before playing 14-year-old Charlie Tuttle in the Disney Channel movie Minutemen. Holt and Benward met on the set of Girl vs. Monster, in which Benward played Ryan Dean, the love interest of Holt's character. They began dating soon after, but broke up two years later in 2014. Their fans still miss them as a couple, even if Holt was said to have moved on to Ray Kearin.

12 Bridgit Mendler and Shane Harper

Unlike many Hollywood actors, 24-year-old Bridgit Mendler has a fallback if her singing and acting careers don't work out, as she graduated with a degree in Anthropology from the University of Southern California. She began her career in the animated Indian film The Legend of Buddha and appeared in a few other films as a teenager before signing up with Disney Channel in 2009 for the role of Juliet van Heusen on Wizards of Waverly Place. She then landed a role in the Disney series Good Luck Charlie, where she met and became friends with Shane Harper, who played Spencer in the series. Spencer also had minor roles in High School Musical 2 and guest-starred on Wizards of Waverly Place. In 2012, he revealed in an interview that he started dating Mendler in May 2011, two years after they met. Fans of the two were thrilled at the thought that their onscreen romance in Good Luck Charlie was being carried over offscreen as well. The pair parted ways in 2015.

11 Chelsea Staub and Joe Jonas

Among the three Jonas brothers, Joe has earned himself quite the reputation as a ladies' man. That's because he has had a string of relationships with other celebrities and as such, has constantly caught the attention of the public. After the singing group disbanded, he went solo and did some song writing for other artists before deciding to form his own band, DNCE. But back to his string of ladies. He has had high-profile relationships (and breakups) with the likes of Taylor Swift, Camilla Belle, Demi Lovato, Ashley Greene, Gigi Hadid, and he's currently dating Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner. Somewhere in between dating Lovato and Greene, he reportedly dated his Jonas co-star Chelsea Staub. Staub is best know for her role as Stella Malone in the Disney Channel sitcom TV series Jonas, though prior to that, she also starred in the Disney Channel original film Minutemen as Stephanie Jameson. Jonas and Staub denied dating, but they were seeing cozying up to each other even when the cameras weren't rolling.

10 Nicole Gale Anderson and Nick Jonas

The youngest Jonas brother Nick may not be as much of a Casanova as his big brother Joe, but he's had his fair share of ladies. He may have dated Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez at certain points in his life, but they're not the only Disney co-stars he's hooked up with. He also supposedly dated his onscreen love interest, Nicole Gale Anderson. Anderson is best known in recent times for her role on The CW series Beauty and the Beast, but prior to that, she was also known for her role as Macy Misa in the Disney Channel Original Series Jonas. It was in the Disney series where she met and co-starred with the youngest Jonas brother. Though the pair denied any sort of offscreen romance, co-star Chelsea Staub implied that the two shared a kiss that was cut because it got too steamy. This led many to believe that there was a little something going on behind the scenes. Whatever the case, their fans shipped it hard.

9 Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan

In 2012, then 16-year-old Dove Cameron was cast in a new Disney Channel Original Series called Bits and Pieces. It was later renamed Liv and Maddie with Cameron starring in the dual lead role of Liv and Maddie Rooney. She starred in the 2015 Disney TV film Descendants, in which she played Mal, the daughter of Sleeping Beauty villain Maleficent. As part of the film's franchise, released a cover of Christina Aguilera's hit song, “Genie in a Bottle.” She will be reprising her role as Mal in Descendant 2, due to premier on July 2017. She met Ryan McCartan on the set of Liv and Maddie, which saw him in the recurring role of Diggie. Cameron and McCartan formed a pop duo called The Girl and the Dreamcatcher in 2015, but they had started dating as early as 2013. To the delight of their fans, they announced their engagement on April 2016---but to said fans' dismay, the relationship ended in October 2016.

8 Peyton Meyer and Rowan Blanchard

In 2013, American actor Peyton Meyer made his acting debut with the Disney Original Series, Dog with a Blog, where he had a recurring role as Wes, the crush of the main character. A year later, he landed a main role in the Disney Channel Original Series Girl Meets World, a spinoff and sequel of Boy Meets World. In the spinoff, Meyer played Lucas Friar, the boy caught between two best friends Riley and Maya. He later gets together with Riley Matthews, the daughter of Cory and Topanga Matthews. Riley was played by Rowan Blanchard for the duration of the series before its cancellation. Prior to starring in the show, Blanchard was part of the main cast of the Disney Junior Original Series Dance-A-Lot-Robot as Caitlin. Meyer and Blanchard were rumored to have taken their onscreen puppy love offscreen as well, despite Meyer being three years older than her-and in teenage years that's a huge age difference. Whether the rumors were true or not, fans were still swooning at the idea.

7 Maiara Walsh and Jason Dolley

Brazilian-American stunner Maiara Walsh is an actress and singer who's best known for her role as Ana Solis on the hit TV show Desperate Housewives, but it was on Disney where she got her start in the business. She appeared as Meena Paroom on the Disney Channel sitcom Cory in the House, a spinoff from another Disney show, That's so Raven. It was in the show where she met Jason Dolley, who's known for his roles in a variety of Disney projects. Aside from playing Newt Livingston on Cory in the House, he also played Virgil Fox in Minutemen, and PJ Duncan in Good Luck Charlie. Before Walsh was linked to another Disney actor Cole Sprouse (today, of Riverdale fame), she supposedly dated Dolley for around six months. She also purportedly dated yet another Disney actor, Kyle Massey (from That's so Raven and also Cory in the House) for three years.

6 Spencer Boldman and Kelli Berglund

American actor Spencer Boldman is best known for his role of Adam Davenport, the eldest of the bionic teenagers, on Disney XD's series Lab Rats. He was cast in yet another Disney project in 2013, the Disney Channel Original Movie Zapped, in which he starred opposite Zendaya and played her character's love interest Jackson. But it was in Lab Rats where he met co-star Kelli Berglund, who played Bree Davenport, a bionic teenager who moved with lightning speed. She also appeared in the show's spinoff, Lab Rats: Elite Force. Under her Disney contract, Berglund also appeared in the Disney Channel Original Movie, How to Build a Better Boy, in which she portrayed tech-savvy Mae Hartley. Boldman and Berglund reportedly dated from November 2012 to August 2013, but it seems like the two split on amicable terms, as they still continued working together afterwards.

5 Aly Michalka and Ricky Ulman

She's an actress and recording artist and Aly Michalka has Disney to thank for her thriving career. She gained fame for her role as Keely Teslow in the Disney Channe TV series Phil of the Future, which is of the science fiction genre. It follows a time-traveling family from the future and their adventures as their time machine breaks down in the 21st century. Her other credits include the CW series Hellcats and iZombie. Added to that, she and her sister Amanda formed the musical duo Aly and AJ in 2004, having released their first album in 2005. It was her stint in Phil of the Future where she met Ricky Ulman, who played the lead role of Phil Diffy in the series. He was credited as Ricky only until 2006, after which he reverted to his real name Raviv Ulman for his projects. Michalka and Ulman supposedly dated from 2005 to 2011-that's no mean feat for a relationship, by Hollywood standards!

4 Hilary Duff and Aaron Carter (and Lindsay Lohan)

Three's a crowd is an understatement, especially when it comes to love. It seems like ancient history, but yes, Hilary Duff once dated Aaron Carter. Duff began her acting career at a young age and was catapulted to teen idol status with the success of her role as the titular character in the Disney Channel hit comedy series, Lizzie McGuire. She worked on other projects with Disney, including the film Cadet Kelly. It was on Lizzie McGuire where singer Aaron Carter made his acting debut, when he guest-starred in the episode where Duff's character Lizzie crashed Carter's music video, “I Want Candy.” Duff and Carter began dating a few months prior to his appearance on her show, but called it quits when Carter allegedly cheated on her with Lindsay Lohan, another Disney star of The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, and Herbie: Fully Loaded fame. Carter broke up with Lohan in 2003 to resume dating Duff, but the relationship ended for good when he supposedly cheated on Duff again. Such a shame that the Duff-Carter cuteness was tainted by cheating.

3 Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato is today one of the most recognized stars in the world and she has Disney to thank for her colossal popularity. She got her start as a child actress in Barney and Friends before rising to prominence when she starred opposite the Jonas Brothers in the Disney Channel TV film Camp Rock, in which she played Mitchie Torres. The release of the film was timed with the release of her debut single, “This Is Me,” which was just as successful as her Disney movie. In March 2010, she and her Camp Rock co-star and onscreen love interest Joe Jonas recorded “Make A Wave” and she joined the Jonas Brothers Live Concert tour as a guest before pulling out due to personal struggles. She and Jonas didn't start dating until 2010, after he broke up with Taylor Swift. The Camp Rock co-stars were only together for a few months before they parted ways as friends.

2 Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas

Like Lovato, Selena Gomez got her start as a child actress in Barney and Friends before rising to fame, thanks to Disney. She landed the lead role on the Disney Channel series, Wizards of Waverly Place, which led to a slew of films and TV shows. She also built up her career as a singer, signing a recording contract with Hollywood Records in 2008. Her band Selena Gomez and the Scene released three studio albums, which included four top 30 singles by 2011. These days, she's the executive producer for the highly popular Netflix Original Series, 13 Reasons Why. She briefly dated Nick Jonas in 2008, having appeared in the Jonas Brothers' music video for the song “Burning Up” and guesting in the group's reality series, Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream. Gomez and Jonas got together after he ended his relationship with Miley Cyrus. Needless to say, he was “shipped” with both Gomez and Cyrus when he was dating them.

1 Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens

They were arguably the most popular and well-loved Disney couple in history, with all of their fans rooting for them to get their happily ever after. Their ship name was called “Zanessa.” Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were virtually unknown when they were both cast as lead characters Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez in the highly-anticipated High School Musical film by Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM). The film is the most successful that DCOM ever produced and it led to a TV sequel (High School Musical 2), a third theatrically-released film (High School Musical 3), and a fourth film is in the works. Efron and Hudgens reportedly began dating two years after they met on set and by the time High School Musical 2 was released, they were officially an item. Sadly, the couple called it quits in 2010 and though the reason for their break-up is unknown, many of their fans still mourn the fact that the relationship didn't go the distance.
