15 Famous Doppelgängers Who Are Debatably Hotter Than The Real Thing

Pitching one for the birds, doppelgängers (German for “double-walkers”) are believed to be quixotic duplicates of a real person, who may manifest in various ways. There are many elucidations for the doppelgänger marvel - the most common being those set out by the mystics who, across epochs, have understood them to be supernatural creatures. They can either be spiritual replicas of the person or their outright demonic twins - you can spot them out of the corner of your eye, meet them on a desolate road or, fate forbid, witness them standing right behind you when looking in to the mirror! Then again, that's folklore! As far as science goes, (hold your breath now), a version of doppelgängers do exist, but thankfully they are a little less menacing than the legendary variety!

Unlike most chimerical figures, they are everyday people with everyday faces… and some, with very famous faces! The idea of having a clone roaming somewhere in the world may be fascinating, but for those imprinting on celebs, it sure is a heck of a task! It isn't easy being one of the hottest people on the planet, more so if you happen not to be the real thing but a dead ringer, dangerously close to the original! Constantly living in the shadow of their famous counterparts, some doubles have however, carved out a niche in their own rights. While upstaging the authentic is out of line, here are 15 such celebrity doppelgängers who may debatably be hotter than the real thing.

    15 Jennifer Lopez

Most fans of JLO did a double take when the Instagram pictures of Jessica Burciaga started doing the rounds. A spitting image of the Hollywood star, Burciaga, is an American model and playmate in her own right. Moreover, her striking resemblance to Jennifer Lopez has earned her over 1.4 million followers on Instagram, with thousands of them vouching for her obvious similarity with the Shall We Dance actress. Born to Mexican parents with French and Irish roots, Burciaga began her career as a waitress in a Hooters restaurant in Anaheim. She first tasted success as a professional model in 2005 when she participated in a photo shoot for Staff Magazine. Ever since, she has featured in multiple other magazines including Maxim and Latino Future. In 2006, she started as a black-jack designer at Playboy Mansion, Las Vegas, and finally in February 2009, she was featured as Playmate of the month.

    14 Christian Bale

Just so you know, the picture on the right is not a still from the 2000 film, American Psycho, starring Christian Bale. But, of a random man who looks so much like Bale that we have a million questions but not enough answers! Once the image was posted on Reddit, the long-lost Bale twin sent social media into a frenzy with his Halloween replication of Patrick Bateman, originally played by Christian, in the film. Not only has his look grabbed the desired eye-balls, this chip off the old block has also got the costume down to a T - including the axe - leaving no stone unturned to express his obvious devotion for The Dark Knight star. The likeness, to say the least, is downright spooky and we can't think of any plausible explanation to this phenomenon except that they might in some bizarre way, may have shared the same gene pool?
