15 Most Ridiculous Kim K Twitter Feuds
Ah, celebrities. There just like us, right? They get groceries, walk their dogs, and are major users of social media. Especially Twitter. Especially Twitter, when it comes to Kim Kardashian (and Instagram, and Snapchat). However, unlike us, celebrities often use this public form to vent their frustrations, anger, or criticisms towards one another. Rather than call up a frenemy or send a quick text, celebrities like Kim will instead “@” them or post a passive-aggressive subtweet. When you're as prolific a user as Kim K, you're bound to get into your fair share of super-public, balls-out feuds. Whether it be a critique of the latest thing she's done to a condemnation of her fame (and let's face it - she gets a lot of both), Kim isn't one to shy away from defending herself and those she loves. That fiery temper and her ability to shake off her haters and do her own thing mean she's racked up more than a few feuds. Here are the ones that are the most ridiculous (hint: it's all of them).
15 Chloë Grace Moretz
In the name of feminism, Chloë Grace Moretz threw her hat in the ring of the Kardashian-populated Twitterverse. After Kim posted a provocative nude photo with her naughty bits blacked out with bars, Chloë first retweeted a Tweet from Bette Midler (more on that later), and added the comment, “I truly hope you realise how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies.” Chloë stated her response was because - in spite of Kim's claim that she was all about the self love and body positivity - the photo was really taken from a voyeuristic perspective and not providing a good role model for young women. Kim's response was in true Kim fashion and a total shake-it-off moment: “let's all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is. your nylon cover is cute boo” [sic]. Point to Kim.
14 Bette Midler
Bette Midler's been around the scene for a bit, and she certainly knows a thing or two about Hollywood. Your favourite Sanderson sister took issue with the same naked photo as Chloë Grace Moretz, only she used her sense of humour to sharpen her claws. “Kim Kardashian took a nude selfie today,” Bette tweeted. “If Kim wants us to see a part of her we've never seen, she's gonna have to swallow the camera.” Ouch!
While Bette's burn was clever, Kim responded with something a little more juvenile: “hey @BetteMidler I know it's past your bedtime but if you're still up and reading this send nudes #justkidding”. She followed this tweet up with a claim that Bette had send her a gift a while back and was a fake friend. Bette's response to Kim? Learn to take a joke! Looks like the 70-year-old singer and actress won this round!
13 Piers Morgan
For some reason, a man decided to throw his hat in the ring regarding the subject of the nude photo upon which Bette Middler and Chloë Grace Moretz had already commented. (Because nothing says “good idea” like a man weighing in on feminism and nudity on social media.) That man was returning America's Got Talent host and regular pot-stirrer, Piers Morgan.
Referencing husband Kanye West's tweet about being $50 million in debt, Piers joked to Mrs. Kardashian West, “I know the old man's $50 million in debt, Kim - but this is absurd.” He followed his declaration with an offer: “Want me to buy you some clothes?”
Well, Kim was having none of that! “hey @piersmorgan never offer to buy a married woman clothes. thats on some ashley madison type s*** #forresearch”[sic]. As if anyone - especially loud-mouthed lout Piers Morgan - is in any position to tell Kim what to (or what not to) wear. Kim wins for shutting him right down!
12 P!nk
It seems that nude selfie Kim posted really did get more traction than her other, equally-provocative snaps. While Kim was duking it out with Bette Midler, Chloë Grace Moretz, and Piers Morgan, outspoken singer-songwriter P!nk got onto her soapbox (aka Twitter) to share a note she'd written that was a not-so-subtle condemnation of Kim's attention-seeking tactics. “Shout out to all the women, across the world, using their brains, their strength, their work ethic, their talent [… ]that only they possess. [… ] It may not bring you as much attention or bank notes as using your body, your sex, your t*ts and asses, but women like you don't need that kind of 'attention'… ”
Many interpreted her statements as anti-feminist, including Amber Rose, a recent Kardashian ally (don't worry, she's on this list, too!), who took to defend Kim in a since-deleted post on Instagram. Kim again kept silent on the whole thing, but let her million-dollar ventures and net worth speak for themselves.
11 Taylor Swift
Unless you've been living under a rock, you know all about the Kim Kardashian/Taylor Swift/Kanye West drama that launched the #KimExposedTaylorParty this past summer. But, if you're new to the party, here's a quick rundown. Kanye released his song 'Famous', which had the line, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? / I made that b*tch famous”. Taylor said she thought the line was misogynistic and had never given approval for it to be written. Kanye and Kim both said they had contacted her to give her a heads up and make sure she was okay with the whole thing. Eventually, Kim showed her receipts and released a video on her Snapchat account of a taped conversation between Kanye and Taylor in which she approved his controversial lyric - and even thanked him! So, was this a Twitter feud? Yes and no. It certainly started off of Twitter before it moved to Snapchat, and with a hashtag that salty, we had to include it in our list.
10 Amber Rose
Here's Kim again, proving she's a woman who'll defend her husband (again) no matter what - even though he was definitely, clearly, a big jerk in this situation. This time, it was about Amber Rose, an ex of Kanye's (who is incredible in her own right and way more than just some rapper's arm candy) and the best friend of Blac Chyna aka Kylie Jenner's boyfriend Tyga's ex and mother of his son. Got that?
What began as Amber defending Blac turned into Kanye opening his big mouth and saying some incredibly disrespectful and disgusting things about his former flame. While he claimed that he had to have 30 showers after being with Amber before he could get with Kim, Amber pointed out the obvious fact that Kim got famous from a sex tape. For Kim's part, she stayed silent on the whole debacle, and while we won't ever condone sl*t-shaming, we do have Amber to thank for the memorable hashtag #FingersInDaBootyAs$Bit*h.
9 Jon Hamm
Surprised to see super-stud Jon Hamm on this list? Don't be, as he's had more than a few not-so-nice things to say about the Kardashian family and Kim in particular. During a 2012 interview with Elle magazine, Jon ranted, “Whether it's Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a f***ing idiot is certainly a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly.”
Kim heard those as fightin' words and responded to his interview on Twitter by calling his comments, “careless”. We've gotta say, compared to her more recent fire-backs, this one was pretty tame. Instead of playing nice, Jon dug in his heels and reinforced his remarks on the TODAY show. “I don't think [the comments] were careless. I think they were accurate.” Well, if you've seen any episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, you have to admit that he's kind of got a point.
8 Perez Hilton
Back in 2015, gossipmonger and wearer of weird hair (not pictured), Perez Hilton, stated on Twitter that he was going on a much-needed Kardasian break (or, as he put it, 'Kardashian Kleanse'). In his tweet, he asked his fellow media to join with him and just remove the famous family from their reports for a week. It didn't seem like too much to ask (because we know everyone has wished it at least once), but was an obvious baiting tactic to declare such a goal on a public forum.
Kim got back at him in the most passive-aggressive way possible, by unfollowing him and then making a poll on her Twitter asking her fans if she should remove him from her multi-million-dollar game, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. For sticking up for herself and hitting him where it hurts, the point in this feud definitely goes to Kim. How do you like them apples, Perez?
7 Demi Moore
Way, way back in 2010, Kim posted a seemingly innocuous photo of herself, Serena Williams, Kelly Rowland, and DJ La La Vasquez with the words, “Big Pimpin'”, a well-known song by Jay-Z. For whatever reason, Demi Moore took offense and asked for clarification on the words, and if Kim really mean “pimping”. Kim had a, “Well, duh” moment, which is what really set Demi off, as she then began chastising Kim about using the word in such a light-hearted manner, when pimps are “slave owners”.
Fortunately, the two ladies played nice, and after much convincing from her own Twitter followers, Demi backed off, claiming that she's a fan of Kim and was just happy to see girls enjoying a night out. Um, okay? Kim, gracious in victory, accepted the public apology, acknowledged Demi's point, and everyone went home (or offline) happy. This was a Twitter feud that was quickly diffused.
6 Adrienne Bailon
I can hear you all now asking, “Who?”
Adrienne Bailon is an actress/singer who dated Rob Kardasian for a time, and subsequently appeared in episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Well, back in 2014, Adrienne decided to bite the hand that fed her in an interview with Latina Magazine, in which she bashed the family and her appearances on the show. As always, Kim stood up for those she loved and came at Adrienne on Twitter. “Funny how she said being a Kardashian hurt her career yet the only reason she has this article is bc she is talking about a Kardashian” [sic]. Remember, this interview came out when Rob was at one of his lowest points, hiding out and avoiding paparazzi and family and sinking deeper into his depression. “So sad when people try to kick my brother when he is down #FamilyForever”[sic] Kim finished. Of course, Adrienne never responded to Kim, which makes this a clear victory to the middle Kardashian sister.
5 Paris Hilton
Yep, you knew this so-called creator of Kim would pop up!
Back in the 2000s, when we all made bad choices especially regarding fashion and celebrity, Paris Hilton was famous enough to have multiple reality shows and make carrying around a tiny dog a trend. Kim, at the time, was considered to be Paris's sidekick, a young woman whose closet-organizing business counted Paris as a client. (Also, can you imagine Kim cleaning and organizing anyone's closet now? Yeah, right.)
While Kim came out on top of the fame tree, Paris hasn't stopped her quest to knock her down a few pegs. First, she liked a post on Instagram that used Kanye West's 'Famous' lyrics to suggest that Paris was the one who created Kim. In another interview, Paris graciously admitted that she feels happy to have “inspired” Kim to her level of success. Okay, Paris. While they're playing nice now, it's really only a matter of time before that Instagram shade makes its way to Twitter.
4 Wendy Williams
Wendy Williams got more than a little snarky when she gave her two cents on the whole Amber Rose-Kanye West feud. In January 2016 during her show, Wendy declared that the Kanye-Kim union wasn't a real marriage and that, while Kanye was fighting dirty with Amber over her career as a stripper, to remember that he - and the rest of the world - had met his wife [Kim] on her back!
Not the first time she's thrown shade, Wendy also claimed that Kim had used a surrogate to carry her second child, Saint. Who knows where she got that doozy from! Kim snapped back at her on Twitter, letting the talk-show host know that she doesn't have time for this nonsense. “Trust me I won't give lames the time of day! Don't have that much free time now! Still have about 30 businesses 2run.”[sic] Kim won this round, for brushing off her past and letting Wendy and everyone else know exactly what kind of woman she's become.
3 Charlie Sheen
This was the Twitter feud that kind of wasn't. In a bid to get back into the public's sphere, veritable train wreck Charlie Sheen took to his Twitter account in 2015 to post a random - and gross - critique of Kim Kardashian's fame and her famous derrière. In a since-deleted Tweet, Charlie lashed out at Kim for no apparent reason, stating, “lucky that ANYONE cares about your gross and giggly [sic] bag of funk you dare call an ass.” Apparently, the seemingly-out-of-nowhere tirade came from Charlie reading an article about Kim's refusal to provide an autograph to a six-year-old fan. (Sounds pretty bogus, right? What six-year-olds are KUWTK fans?) Charlie, for his part, took to his Twitter again to type out a long-winded, rambling apology, complete with hugs and kisses. As for Kim? We imagine she stayed mum on the whole thing because she was just as confused as the rest of us!
2 Beyoncé
When Beyoncé released the powerhouse, incredible, artistically challenging visual album, Lemonade, back in April, everyone was in shock over its complexity and brilliance.
Everyone except Kim Kardashian, it seemed.
While Kim and Bey have never been BFFs (just look at the recent revelation from Kanye West that North and Blue Ivy have never had a play date!), there was a grudging tolerance of one another. Even though Bey and Jay were no-shows at the Kim-Kanye nuptials, and rumours have swirled around the two for years, the ladies tried to play a little nice for the sake of their husbands. Once Lemonade was released - with zero advance warning - Kim wanted her share of the spotlight back, and immediately took to Twitter to share a series of steamy shots with her followers. Of course, the Beyhive swarmed and told Kim to stick her photos where the sun don't shine. The point for this feud has to go to Queen Bey, who always comes out on top.
1 Rob Kardashian
Surprised to see a family member on this list? It only makes sense that some drama would follow the Kardashian Klan.
For Rob, who has dealt with depression and has avoided the spotlight due to its effect on his mental health, it's not shocking that during some of his darkest days, he lashed out at big sister Kim. While not on Twitter, Rob's anger showed up on Instagram, where he captioned a shot of a bloodied Rosamund Pike as her character Amy Dunne in Gone Girl with the words, “This is my sister Kim, the b**** from Gone Girl”. He quickly deleted the image (as he has done several times on his Instagram account), but tongues were already wagging. After much speculation, Kim explained that he was just trying to be funny, but diehard fans still aren't so sure. While maybe not an outright feud, it was definitely a shot at Kim's carefully-cultivated public image.
