It might be every publicist's dream to have a celebrity client that has no skeletons in their closet, but since as famous people are still human, that's probably not possible. There will always be rumors circulating about stars, and while they make good news, we'll never really know if the stories are true or totally false. “Inside sources” could be anyone at all, don't forget! Confessions, as opposed to rumors, come straight from the horse's mouth so to speak, and we therefore have a much better idea of the truth! These following confessions are pretty shocking, ranging between happy revelations to devastating ones. Although most of them are secrets that regular, non-famous people keep all the time, a few of them are just plainly bizarre, whether you're famous or not. 15 Kristen Stewart

Twilight star Kristen Stewart shocked the world when she admitted to cheating on her co-star Robert Pattinson with director Rupert Sanders, who was married at the time! Having played the ultimate lovers on screen, Kristen and Rob were just about the world's most-shipped couple at the time, so this was some majorly devastating and unbelievable news! Kristen confessed to the affair after pictures surfaced of the two kissing online in an emotional public statement, where she wrote the following: “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry.” The couple didn't last long after that, and Rupert also released a statement apologizing for his actions. “I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world,” he wrote. Yikes!

14 Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga was the most talked about musical act in the world by the time she embarked on her Monster Ball tour in 2009, so her public confession shortly after that was totally unexpected. Gaga stated on stage multiple times that although she finally had the fame she had always sought, she didn't have even a cent to her name! That's right, she was totally broke! She said that she had made a nice amount of money, but had spent it all trying to make the gigs huge. “I had three million dollars in the bank to my name and I threw it all in to make my stage, so I was bankrupt during the show,” she said. To be fair, we can kind of see how this happened! On that tour, Gaga had a massive stage, crazy costumes, insane pyrotechnics, and a dedicated team behind her. We feel like she's earned it back though…

13 Daniel Radcliffe

This one is heartbreaking! As Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe is almost the face of fantasy and happy times for fans, so the revelation that he was actually going through a pretty hard time while filming the movies is quite upsetting! Dan admitted to developing a dependency on alcohol to the point where he thought he needed it to have a good time while he was filming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. He said that the huge amount of pressure he was under to carry this massive series on his back and try to live the life of a famous person took its toll, and provoked him to drink. The Harry Potter series made so many young fans happy, so it's always horrible to hear that in the process of making others feel good, somebody sacrificed their own well-being. That's exactly what happened to Dan, so we do hope he's doing better!

12 Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is rarely seen without sticking her tongue out nowadays, so when she finally came forward to admit to the world why she poses like that, we were all ears! We were thinking along the lines of being purposely provocative and standing out or showing everybody she was no longer Hannah Montana, but the real reason is actually so anti-climactic that it's hard to believe. Here it is: Miley feels insecure about her smile. No, seriously! “I'm so embarrassed because people are taking pictures of me and I don't know how to smile,” she said. “So I stick my tongue out, because I don't know what else to do.” We think Miley has a lovely smile, but that reason is actually way more relatable than anything else we were assuming! We totally know what it's like to feel awkward AF in photos when you're not comfortable with your smile. Imagine doing it every day!

11 Kelly Rowland

Confessions that come through song are usually even more powerful than those spoken, and this one definitely shook the world. In 2013 Kelly released a song called "Dirty Laundry", where as you guessed, she aired all her dirty laundry. The most shocking confession to come out of the song was that Kelly actually experienced domestic abuse at the hands of her ex. In the song, she sings that he was “putting his hands on me”, and that us fans “don't know the half of this industry”. She also sings about the emotional abuse she went through: “He pulled me out, he said, 'Don't nobody love you but me. Not your mama, not your daddy and especially not B.'” Poor Kelly! She also exposed a rift between her and former bandmate Beyoncé as the latter rose to superstar status and didn't even know about her best friend's relationship problems. Check the tune out!

10 James Franco

Back in 2014, actor James Franco admitted that he had tried to hook up with a 17-year-old fan after she'd seen him on Broadway. The issue with this is that her age made her a minor at the time, making the whole thing illegal on his part. After the girl posted a photo on Instagram, James messaged her and asked if she had a boyfriend, and asked if she was keen on renting a room. In his confession, James stated that he didn't know the girl was underage at the time, but still felt awkward about the whole thing so wanted to address it anyway! In an interview on Live with Kelly and Michael, he said, "I'm embarrassed, and I guess I'm just a model of how social media is tricky. It's a way people meet each other today, but what I've learned… you don't know who's on the other end." Indeed, James!

9 Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods was the most famous golfer in the world at one point, but the fame quickly turned to notoriety when it was revealed that he'd had numerous affairs while he was married. In 2010, he made a public statement about it which carried on for 14 minutes! “I had affairs, I cheated,” he said. “What I did was not acceptable, and I am the only person blame.” He also called his behavior “irresponsible and selfish” and he later explained his thought process by saying he felt he could break the rules because of his success: “I felt that I had worked hard my entire life and wanted to enjoy all the temptations around me.” During the period of their five-year marriage, it was reported that Tiger had no less than 120 affairs with different women, one of them his young neighbor. Gosh, how do you even find that many people who you like?

8 Lance Armstrong

Speaking of disgraced sports stars, we arrive at cyclist Lance Armstrong. There's often heated debate over whether athletes should be judged for their personal lives and the mistakes they make when they're not working, but when your mistakes affect your performance, things are pretty clear! Lance finally admitted in 2013 that he had used testosterone, human-growth hormones, and EPO, which is obviously a big no-no. He had won the Tour de France seven times at that point, but the confession resulted in those seven titles being stripped away from him. In his confession to Oprah, Lance called himself “deeply flawed”, so it's clear he feels pretty guilty over his actions! Prior to this saga, Lance was a hero for so many, seeing as he was a cancer survivor and such a successful athlete at the same time. This had to have been a devastating confession for his hordes of fans!

7 Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen is often portrayed as a womanizer and kind of deviant, so this next confession was perhaps expected. It was still worrying though! In 2015, Charlie admitted that he was diagnosed as HIV-positive. He later stated that he'd only forgotten to use protection twice, and couldn't believe the predicament he'd landed himself in. Even more shocking, he said that he'd paid more than $10 million to make sure those who knew didn't reveal his news to the press, since he'd known of the diagnosis for around four years prior to his revelation. The silver lining of this story is that the ordeal has taught Charlie a new perspective on life, and now he isn't hell-bent on chasing women. He's turned into a much more grateful and philosophical person, and even makes jokes about the state of his health, otherwise he feels his life would become “awkward city”. That's one way to look at it!

6 Hugh Grant

Hugh Grant was the ultimate charming British dreamboat during the 1990s, so his confession certainly surprised a lot of fans! In 1995, the actor was arrested after he allegedly engaged in lewd conduct with a lady of the night near Sunset Boulevard. Despite the fact that this was totally illegal, Hugh came off looking even worse because he was dating Elizabeth Hurley at the time. This was all over the headlines and he had no choice but to confront it all, so he made his confession on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno two weeks later. Jay bluntly asked him what the hell he was thinking, and Hugh took full responsibility for his actions. “You know in life what's a good thing to do and a bad thing to do,” he said. “I did a bad thing.” If only Hugh were the only celeb to get caught in such a compromising position!

5 Caitlyn Jenner

Former athlete and Kardashian-Jenner patriarch Bruce Jenner had secured the attention of the world when he sat down with Diane Sawyer and admitted that he identified as a woman in 2015. Though the confession was shocking, it was still somewhat expected as rumors had been circulating about Bruce for months prior to his interview. He told Diane that he was in the process of transforming into a woman, and on June 1, 2015, Caitlyn Jenner introduced herself to the world on Twitter. She also appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair as herself, and announced that she was to star in I Am Cait-an E! docu-series that would focus on the challenges Caitlyn faced as a transgender woman. In her interview with Vanity Fair, Caitlyn discussed the relief of finally being able to talk about her life and true feelings, and that prior to her confession, she felt “totally empty inside.”

4 Katy Perry

Katy Perry's confession is probably one of the most bizarre on the list, so we hope she was joking! As she was discussing her initial rise to fame and attending the Grammys early in her career, she admitted that she asked fellow stars Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift for, uh, a token. "One of the first times I went to the Grammys, I got to share a dressing room with Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift, and I asked them for a lock of their hair from each one of them, which is totally creepy, but awesome." If somebody asked for a lock of our hair, we'd personally be worried that they were going to perform some kind of voodoo with it. Then again, famous people probably get requests like that all the time! Things haven't been too friendly between Katy and Taylor since, so let's hope she hasn't done anything sinister with her Grammy souvenir!

TV personality Sharon Osbourne had a pretty shocking revelation for viewers of The Talk back in 2014. During their September Secrets Week segment, Sharon confessed how far she'd gone for love in the past, and the details were pretty worrying! She admitted that in order to prove her love for husband Ozzy Osbourne, she had once slit her own wrist. She even said that she still has the scar from the incident. “It's something that was done when I was 27. I was just going out with Ozzy at the time and we were working together and dating at the same time,” she said. “I'm very dramatic as you all know, and when I say something I like to follow it through. I'm like, 'I'll show you how much I love you, I'd die for you.'… So I get the knife and I go, 'I love you so much,' slash, slash, slash on my wrist.”

2 Nicki Minaj

As we said, some of the most shocking confessions are right there in the lyrics in a song ! Nicki Minaj isn't one to hold back when it comes to her rapping, but she made a startling revelation in the 2014 song "All Things Go" that is hard to hear. At the end of the song, Minaj reveals she was once pregnant: “I want 'Caiah to go to college, just to say, "We did it!" My child with Aaron would've been sixteen, any minute. So in some ways I feel like 'Caiah, is the both of them. It's like he's 'Caiah's little angel, looking over him.” Nicki has since admitted that she had an abortion at the age of 16, and it has been haunting her ever since. “I wasn't ready,” she said when she was interviewed in Rolling Stone. “I didn't have anything to offer a child.” Nicki still hopes to become a mom one day though!

Our top confession is a happy one… but it's still shocking! The number one spot on our list goes to Beyoncé's recent twin pregnancy confession, which somehow even managed to be more surprising than her first one! On February 1 2017, Beyonce Instagrammed a photo of her bare pregnant belly and the caption: “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. - The Carters.” Bless! B's first pregnancy confession back in 2011 stopped the world because she'd been the subject of pregnancy rumors for so long, to have her actually confirm a baby on the way was the most exciting thing ever! Her marriage with Jay-Z has recently been the target of speculation, so this announcement was even more unexpected, but we couldn't be happier!
