15 Of The Best Celebrity Wedding Dresses

Most of us spend countless hours thinking about our wedding, from our bridesmaids, flowers, and venue -- and, of course, who we're going to end up marrying. But although those concerns are definitely top of mind, we're also pretty into thinking about our perfect wedding dress. There are lots of different choices for a wedding dress: you can go for a traditional look, or something more alternative. Some women love the idea of sparkles and gems, while others prefer an understated look, and hey, celebs are definitely no different. Unlike the average person, celebrities have access to the best designers in the world, and the money to make sure that they have the perfect dress. From subtle lacy numbers to impressive dresses with veils and trains, Hollywood wedding gowns are some of the most beautiful (and memorable) in the world. Here are 15 of the best celebrity wedding dresses so far.

    15 Amal Clooney

George Clooney may be a silver fox, but all eyes were on human rights attorney Amal on their wedding day… and we're definitely not surprised. Amal stunned in a French lace Oscar de la Renta dress with a custom-made French floor-length veil. The veil and dress both featured intricate hand embroidery and delicate pearl detailing, and the overall effect was gorgeous. Amal was clearly happy to be wearing Oscar de la Renta, and she said, “He's such an elegant designer and such an elegant man.” She was actually one of the last women to wear a custom gown by the designer, as he sadly passed away one month after their wedding. George chose to wear his favorite designer Giorgio Armani, saying; “[Giorgio is] the class act of all class acts. He's been a good friend for many years and the night wouldn't be complete without him.” Armani agreed, saying; “It is a privilege and a pleasure for me to dress him for this occasion, in which he stars in the most important role: that of the groom.” This might be our favorite bromance ever!

    14 Kim Kardashian

    💍

We all knew that the wedding of reality star Kim Kardashian and rapper Kayne West would be seriously stunning, and they didn't let us down. The couple had their wedding at the scenic Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy on May 24th, 2014, and Kim's dress was perfect. She wore a custom-made long-sleeved Givenchy Haute Couture lace gown, which she teamed with a long silk veil. The dress was created by designer Riccardo Tisci, who is a close family friend. The tight dress accentuated her curves, and it had unique lace sleeves with cut-out sheer panels and a sheer back. “Still feels like a dream!" Kim tweeted. “Thank you @RiccardoTisci17 for making me the most gorgeous gown I've ever seen! I'm so grateful @givenchyofficial for this Givenchy Couture wedding gown!” She also posted a picture of their wedding to Instagram, and at the time it was the most-liked image on the site with more than 1.93 million likes and 35,000 comments. Clearly, we all approved!

    13 Olivia Palermo

Olivia Palermo is an international style icon, and she made sure that her wedding dress didn't disappoint. Instead of going for a classic white dress, Olivia wore a skirt and top when she married model Johannes Huebl in a private ceremony in Before, New York. The outfit was unique and feminine, and it stayed true to her boho style. She also wore a Carolina Herrera cashmere sweater with the sheer shirt and tailored shorts. That's right; she wore shorts to her wedding and still managed to look perfect. We're not jealous at all. Nope, not even one little bit. She teamed the outfit with SATC-style blue Manolo Blahnik heeled pumps, earrings by Alexandra Mor, and a bracelet she bought in India. She kept her hair, makeup, and accessories simple with a messy ponytail and minimal make-up, but the overall look was still somehow smart. As always Olivia nailed the look she was going for, and she looked amazing.

    12 Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton's wedding to Price William on April 29th, 2011 was watched by over two billion people across the world, and her dress was one of the focal points. The Duchess of Cambridge wore a beautiful gown designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, and she paired the dress with matching Alexander McQueen shoes. The veil was made from hand-cut English lace and the dress French Chantilly lace, creating a stunning and classy look. Kate helped design her dress, with Clarence House stating that; “Miss Middleton worked closely with Sarah Burton in formulating the design of her dress.” The dress was highly anticipated. Who doesn't want to see what a girl wears when she marries a Prince? However, the dress and its designer weren't announced until Kate stepped out of the wedding car to enter Westminster Abbey, just before the service. The dress was a huge success with the media, and hundreds of replicas of the dress have been produced and sold.

    11 Ciara

    We are The Wilsons!

A post shared by Ciara (@ciara) on Jul 6, 2016 at 1:47pm PDT

Ciara wore a wedding dress by Roberto Cavalli, and it is absolutely gorgeous. The dress was exclusively designed by Cavalli's creative director Peter Dundas, and it had a corset front that was framed by sheer lace bell sleeves. The dress had a feminine and romantic silhouette and a slight boho twist, making it a truly original dress. Lots of women would avoid bell sleeves, but they are perhaps the most beautiful and eye-catching part of the dress. “Ciara is a dear friend so making her dress was a labor of love,” Peter told E! News when he showed them the design for the dress. It even had the couple's initials embroidered in the lace on the back! The dress may have been stunning, but it caused a few problems on the big day. Celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss said that the stunning dress didn't actually fit inside the Cheshire chapel where Ciara was wed. She said, "Inside the castle, they had a chapel but it was too small because her dress was 13-feet. Her dress in person was so much more spectacular than in the pictures, though, in the pictures, they're beautiful. In person, it was shockingly beautiful.”

    10 Kate Moss

Fashion icon Kate Moss is always on trend, and her wedding dress didn't let fans down. Her dress was designed by former Dior designer and long-time friend John Galliano, and we love the 1920s style silhouette that perfectly matches Kate's personal style. The cream, bias-cut dress had lots of vintage-inspired details, including gold embroidery, sheer panels, and glittering metallic embellishments, and it was very different to a traditional wedding dress. She kept her makeup and hair simple, with minimal makeup and flowing, curled hair. The whole wedding was a success: the supermodel was marrying rocker Jamie Hince, and the venue was as stunning as her dress. In true celebrity style, the wedding was a three-day event, dubbed 'Moss-stock' by locals. There were performances by Snoop Dogg, Iggy Pop, Shirley Bassey, Bryan Ferry and Beth ditto -- very star-studded! The wedding was estimated to cost £1 million; clearly, Kate and Jamie can't put a price on love.

    9 Whitney Port

The secret is out! Whitney Port (@whitneyeveport) and Tim Rosenman's Wedding was one of the most beautiful and special weddings I have ever had the honor of capturing. It was such a pleasure working with these lovely people this past weekend in Palm Springs! For a sneak peak, check out the newest issue of @usweekly. I will be posting the full wedding album towards the end of the month. Stay tuned! Lots of us envy Whitney Port's super stylish wardrobe, and she did not disappoint with her wedding dress. She married her producer fiancé Tim Rosenman in November, and they opted for a theme of “modern take on a traditional wedding”, which Whitney's dress perfectly reflected. The former Hills star chose to show off her shapely legs in a dress with a waterfall hemline, which make the dress an interesting edge. Whitney helped to design the dress with Ashi Studio, and apparently, it was modeled after an Italian chandelier. The front of the dress finished at the knee, and it was embroidered with silver details and off-white pearls. The best part of the dress was the eye-catching one-meter long train. The couple got married in Palm Springs, California, and they broke one of the main wedding rules (can you believe it!): they saw each other before the ceremony for a pre-wedding photo shoot.

    8 Drew Barrymore

The actress wanted something that was both "tasteful and timeless" for her wedding day, and she achieved that with a stunning Chanel wedding dress. She was pregnant when she married Wil Kopelman at her $5.7 million Mediterranean-style mansion in Montecito, California, and her outfit was perfect. She wore a muslin and organza gown with an eye-catching skirt embroidered with feathers, tulle flowers, and a black belt. She teamed the dress with a traditional veil and a bouquet of flowers that included cherry blossoms, pink spray roses, pink garden roses and pink peonies. She accessorized the outfit with Chanel Fine Jewelry, including a stunning 14 carat white and black diamond vintage Eventail cuff and a pair of Fils de Camelia 1.42 caret diamond earrings. Of course, that marriage didn't exactly have a happy ending, but the dress was definitely perfect. While it may not have been happily ever after, there's no reason not to look your very best. Afterall, it is your wedding day, no matter how many you may have!

    7 Solange Knowles

Beyoncé's little sister is known for her funky and original style, and she made sure that her wedding dress reflected that. Her wedding with video director Alan Ferguson was planned down to the tiniest detail, including her wedding dress. "Everyone I worked with on the wedding are friends who I love," Solange told Vogue. "Everything was a labor of love." This group of friends included fashion designer Humberto Leon, who designed the striking and minimalistic Kenzo column dress with a built-in floor-length cape. Before the wedding, the pair were spotted together on numerous occasions, and together they created the perfect dress for Solange's personality. She teamed the dress with thick gold cuffs on each wrist, adding a bit of bling to the outfit. The dress was stunning, and we are sure that she had the perfect wedding day. Around 100 guests attended the ceremony at a New Orleans church, including family members Beyoncé, Jay Z and Blue Ivy Carter.

    6 Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were together for years before they finally tied the knot, and their wedding was hugely anticipated. However, the wedding was very low-key; the ceremony was held at the Chateau Miraval chapel on their estate in France, and their wedding cake was baked by their 10-year old son Pax. Super adorable. The most memorable part of the day for fans of the couple was Angelina's sentimental wedding dress. She wore a custom-made dress designed by Luigi Massi of Atelier Versace, and Donatella Versace also helped to create the dress. Her wedding dress was ivory in a ball gown style, and it had a ruched bodice and sweet neckline. Most importantly, the dress featured embroidered drawings by the couple's six children. While this dress did bring a lot of controversy and mixed opinions, this idea is so sweet that we just adore the dress - and apparently, so did the A-list actress.

    5 Ashlee Simpson

    Amazing wedding moments !

A post shared by Evan Ross (@realevanross) on Jul 27, 2015 at 5:52pm PDT

Ashlee Simpson is a beautiful woman, and she looked like a real princess on her wedding day. She went for a natural look with minimal makeup and lightly tousled hair, but the first thing we noticed was her gorgeous wedding outfit. She tied the knot with Evan Ross in August 2014, and two years later her dress is still one of the most memorable celebrity wedding dresses. She wore a Houghton wedding outfit that was decorated with pearls, and she looked very traditional… even though she wasn't actually wearing a dress. She wore a simple bralette with a white crop top over the top of it. The crop top was made of lace that stretched down to her forearms, and she teamed the tops with a floor-length full skirt. She wore gem-studded stilettos with ankle straps, giving her outfit an edgy feel. The look was completed with Neil Lane rubies and diamonds that are reportedly worth around £480,000. Wow!

    4 Geri Halliwell

The former Spice Girls singer married F1 boss Christian Horner in a traditional wedding ceremony, and she opted for a traditional and classy wedding grown. The dress was designed by Phillipa Lepley, who said the dress is a “very simple clean cut, feminine design. The cut defines the female form and still gives drama with the huge skirt. It is a fairy-tale classic which will remain timeless.” She went on to say, "The dress isn't wearing Geri - Geri is wearing the dress and it really shows off her figure so well. I'm thrilled with how Geri looks. I have a passion for French lace, hidden corsets, and big full dresses." The original dress came from Phillipa's couture collection, and together the pair worked to create a custom version for Geri. Geri accessorized the dress with a beautiful veil and two pearl bracelets, and she couldn't keep the smile from her face. We think that she looked absolutely gorgeous!

    3 Bar Refaeli

The happiest day of my life ! I married my best friend ✨ Live, Laugh, Love together forever More pics exclusively in @holacom magazine

A post shared by Bar Refaeli (@barrefaeli) on Sep 30, 2015 at 12:21am PDT

It isn't surprising that Bar Refaeli looked stunning on her wedding day -- she is a Victoria's Secret model, after all! However, her dress wasn't traditional at all - in fact, it was slightly informal. She wore a custom-made dress from Chloé with embroidered lace panels and boho tassels. The outfit gave off a beachy, relaxed vibe, which Bar seemed to embrace with half tied-up hair and drop earrings. After the wedding, she revealed that Chloé creative director Clare Waight Keller designed the dress. "For my perfect day I asked the talented @clarewaightkeller to design my dress," she said on Instagram. "You are a dream maker!" She married businessman Adi Ezra in a beautiful ceremony in Israel, and her husband also opted for a slightly less formal look. If you are getting married and you don't want a traditional wedding, you might find yourself taking inspiration from Bar and Adi's relaxed wedding outfits.

    2 Allison Williams

The Girls actress is naturally stunning, and her wedding dress managed to even enhance her natural beauty. She wore a gorgeous custom-made Oscar de la Renta wedding dress, which was made especially for her by designer Peter Copping. The dress was both dramatic and simplistic, and she looked like a Princess in it. The dress was cut in a classic princess line, and it had sheer embroidered sleeves with a long chiffon train. The back was the most beautiful part of the dress, with v cutwork and a large bow, adding a feminine silhouette. She tied her hair up in an elegant bun and kept her makeup simple, keeping the focus on her stunning gown. She married Ricky Van Veen at the Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga, Wyoming, and the guest list was star-studded. Her girls co-stars Lena Dunham and Zosia Mamet both attended, as well as close friends Katy Perry and John Mayer.

    1 Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen married John Legend on September 14th back in 2013, and we all love their love story. So, naturally, she looked absolutely perfect and gorgeous on the big day. “I have the dress and I love it!” Teigen said after she received her dress. She said that she enjoyed watching bridezilla's on TV in the months before her wedding, but she said that her dress wouldn't be as expensive as the ones on television. She loves watching Say Yes To The Dress like most of us but we think it's pretty amazing and refreshing that she didn't want to shell out the big bucks for her super important dress. She clearly made the right choice since she looked truly beautiful on her wedding day. John Legend is a lucky man! But she is pretty lucky too, and we have to admit that we never had any doubt that she would look percent on her big day.
