Kim Kardashian has been an icon in the fashion world for over a decade. She's been both praised and criticized for her outfits but, if one thing is clear, it's that her style choices are influential. She's known for being a trendsetter and risk taker, which is out she winds up in some of the most fashion-forward outfits in Hollywood. From thigh-high boots to sheer dresses to outrageous fur coats, Kim isn't one to shy away from anything. These photos show some of the most ridiculous and just downright ugly outfits that Kim has worn during her time in the spotlight. Though she has an army of designers and stylists behind her, the celebrity is still prone to fashion failures every now and then. Kim has been guilty of everything from wearing clothes that are too-tight to looking too frumpy to revealing too much skin. Even though we must admit all of these looks are hideous, we still have to commend Kim for her courage to take fashion risks. After all, breaking the rules is what fashion is all about!

15 Fur-Ociously Bad

Kim has always been a fan of fur, so it should be no surprise that she has taken the look overboard on more than one occasion. In this particular instance, Kim was photographed getting out of her care in this particularly atrocious outfit. She was wearing a chunky brown fur coat, which we're praying is faux and not real. She also added a hideous brown hat and knee-high suede boots, which just added to the dramatic feel of this look. Overall, the outfit just feels too over-the-top and somewhat costume-y. Perhaps with less accessories Kim could have gotten away with this bulky coat. But, then again, fur coats are often hard to pull off. They can look dated and tacky very easily, and those are two words that we'd use to describe this look. Sorry, Kim, but this truly is fur-ociously bad, and that's all that we have to say!

14 Fashionably Caged

We have one word for this look: horrible.! We have no idea what Kim was thinking when she showed up to a red carpet event in this strange number! Kim was wearing a sheer dress with black caged detailing. It was completely see-through, and the celebrity was only wearing a black bandeau and high waisted underwear underneath. Kim made the look even stranger by adding a chunky fur coat and rocking her infamous platinum blonde hair. If this look wasn't so see-through or Kim had worn something else underneath, then perhaps this dress wouldn't have been so bad. But the revealing nature of the look mixed in with the bad accessories makes this entire outfit a complete fail. At least this dress showed off how curvaceous and enviable Kim's body looked since that's the only good thing about this entire outfit.

13 The Tablecloth

Kim received a lot of heat from the media when she was photographed in this now-infamous dress. She was mocked for wearing something that looked like a tablecloth and it was also dated and way too tight. We honestly can't say that we disagree! Kim's dress covered her entirely from her neck to her feet. The dress even had gloves to cover her hand! Since Kim was heavily pregnant with daughter North at the time, the overpowering print made her look heavier than usual. While the wild floral pattern could have looked fashionable in a small dose, there was just way too much going on with this dress. On another note, we can't figure out how Kim would have been able to breathe in this ensemble. She's famous for wearing tight outfits, even while expecting. We bet this dress was an uncomfortable squeeze. We don't understand why she just doesn't wear normal clothes while pregnant!

12 Not A Good Fit

Kim has always worn tight-fitting clothes, but it seemed that she wore them even more the two times that she has been pregnant. The starlet became infamous for wearing pieces that didn't seem to fit her growing baby belly. This look was especially cringeworthy. The social media queen paired a tight white dress with a matching cape, but it seemed to barely fit her burgeoning baby bump. But the real disaster of this look was her shoes. Kim's shoes would have been cute otherwise, but since she was pregnant, they were way too tight around her ankle. The paparazzi caught some extremely clear photos of her swollen ankles and those shoes just looked painful. Like we've said before, we wish Kim would take a hint from maternity fashion and give the tight silhouettes a rest when she's expecting. Not only does she look uncomfortable, but it makes us uncomfortable seeing her in such cringeworthy get-ups!

11 Skater Girl

Kim is giving us serious Avril Lavigne vibes in this early 2000s-inspired outfit! The mom of two stepped out in a leather skater skirt and black t-shirt. She paired the look with matching leather knee-high boots, which just looked ridiculous paired with such a short, girly skirt. Kim looked like a Goth girl who never got over the early 2000s trends and still lives by high school rules. Anyone who rocks a skater skirt is still going to look like they're in high school, and there's no getting around that! If Kim had swapped this out for a form-fitting leather skirt and some different shoes, the look might not have been so bad. But it's still strange seeing the usually dressed-up star rocking a basic t-shirt. All in all, it looks like Kim was confused when she styled this strange all-black outfit in the morning. But, hey, we all have those days!

10 Shapeless Chic

We're always used to seeing Kim's body on full display, but this shapeless get-up did nothing to show off the star's famous curves. During the early 2000s, when Kim was just becoming famous and beginning this whole journey, she showed up to a movie premiere in this dress. The boxy, shapeless cut looks weird against her curvaceous frame. Although it shows off a her cleavage nicely, the dress still appears to fit her weirdly! Kim's poorly matched accessories do nothing to help the cause. She paired nude colored boots and a matching clutch, which were both the exact same shade as her look. The whole color combination of this outfit is atrocious, and didn't do anything to flatter Kim's tan. We bet Kim would cringe if she had to look back on this photo today because that's definitely what we do when we see this shot of her!

Even though some are enjoying this more conservative version of Kim, this outfit is anything but fashionable! Kim paired a strangely cut turtleneck dress with knee-high snakeskin boots. The boots look more like pants than shoes, which mimics the awkward dress-over-pants trends from the early 2000s that everyone hated. She paired the dress with a belt to give her outfit more shape, but Kim still managed to look frumpy and heavier than she is in this tasteless look. If Kim had worn the dress with some heels instead of the overpowering boots, this look might have worked. Those boots would be cool with a mini dress, or something that shows off Kim's legs. Otherwise, it's too easy to mistake them for pants, and then they just look awkward!

Kim definitely isn't known for being a maternity fashion icon, and this outfit definitely proves why! While a few months along, Kim paired this bold trousers featuring a ruffled peplum detailing with a black turtle neck top. The extra layers seemed to add more weight to Kim's look, which left her looking frumpy and larger than her actual size. There was just too much fabric going on in her midsection, and it disguised her baby bump so much that it looked like she had a regular chubby belly. Kim is known for keeping to a strict diet and working hard at the gym, so we know that's not her typical physique. Unfortunately, peplum isn't the greatest style to wear while expecting! And Kim had to learn that the hard way. Now the starlet gravitates to more figure-hugging dresses when she's expecting and lets her bump be on full display.

Oh, the early 2000s! It was a questionable period of fashion, that's for sure, and you can bet Kim Kardashian rocked every awkward trend that the decade had to offer. This outfit was one of the worst, and her tacky looks have become synonymous with the poor fashion of the time. For this look, Kim paired an extremely large white belt over a long sleeve t-shirt. She wore this over jeans and white boots that matched her belt. From her greasy makeup and bad extensions to the cringy outfit, Kim was the epitome of tacky in this get-up. We all wore some pretty questionable things during the early 2000s, so maybe we should be a little bit easier on Kim. She was definitely on-trend for the time, and that has to count for something. We have to say that Kim's body looked amazing in this outfit, but the look itself isn't one of her most fashionable moments. It honestly seems like it was put together by a child. The pieces don't match, and they definitely don't seem red carpet appropriate. In fact, that leather body suit is something we're surprised she wouldn't want to reserve for Kanye in the bedroom! If Kim had worn something other than lingerie under this skirt, like a nude slip or grey dress, this skirt would have looked amazing. The embellishment is to die for and it hugs Kim in all the right places. Maybe Kim needs to consult a new stylist because her looks are always just a few points away from being fabulous.

Kim has always been a fan of bright, bold prints. In the past few years, it seems like her favorite patterns are ones inspired by tablecloths and vintage wallpaper. In this particular outfit, Kim was spotted in an extremely ornate dress by designer Balmain. This dress featured exquisite detailed embellishments throughout. While that might look beautiful on the runway, it just looked off on Kim! The dress appeared way too tight on Kim. We don't even want to think about how hard it was to sit and lie down in a dress like that. She paired it with tall suede boots, which made her appear shorter than she is and Kim is already short to begin with. Had she paired the dress with tall heels, this might have looked better. But we think this is one dress that was better on the runway rather than in real life.

4 The Sweatsuit Full Of Holes

Matching two-piece outfits have been trending for a while now, so of course Kim had to try this trend out once or twice! In this particular instance, Kim looked like a fashion failure in this peach sweatsuit combo, which did nothing to convince us to try out this look. The two-piece featured a peach turtleneck crop top and matching joggers, both of which had severe rips. Shredded clothing is also a current fashion trend, but this outfit takes it too far! Kim looks like she was attacked by moths, not making a fashion statement! Her suede heels and grey jacket seem misplaced with the outfit, so this whole look is pretty confusing. Honestly, we don't think there was anything saving this dreaded peach two-piece combo from the beginning. Anything with shredding is hard to pull off, and this whole outfit seems mismatched. Just stick to normal sweatpants, Kim!

3 Furry Fashion

Kim put her love of fur on full display once again with this ridiculous get-up. The star wore a pair of khaki skinny jeans with a white tank top to an event a few years back. But what really made this look special was her overpowering fur scarf and crazy white booties. Her large fur scarf just seems silly when worn with her otherwise casual outfit. We really hope that fur is fake! The shoes only add to the embarrassment of this look. They featured chunky material around the ankles and weird pompoms. Honestly, we don't even know how to explain these weird booties. We swear that Kim must have been paid to wear these atrocious items because we don't understand how she could have chosen these ridiculous things. Kim has worn some weird items, but this just makes it seem like she has no fashion sense. We expect better from the queen of reality TV!

2 Bad Teacher

This is just a disaster! Her top and skirt don't match, but really, everything is a mess when it comes to this look. First of all, Kim's shirt is showing too much cleavage for it to look anything even remotely classy. The bustier-inspired style just seems tacky with the black and red lace, especially with the ill-fit of the shirt in general. Since the top is so relieving, it feels weird that Kim paired it with a conservative pencil skirt, leading to the mixed vibes we're getting from this look. Considering Kim's messy waves and greasy makeup, we would definitely say that she looks like the definition of a hot mess in this photo. It's hard to believe she used to show up to red carpet events in get-ups like these. Being her classic Kardashian self, Kim stepped out in this very revealing dress… if you can even call it a dress! It's totally and completely sheer, except for a teeny black body suit underneath, which reveals a ton of cleavage. Kim's body looked amazing in this barely-there dress, but we don't know if this outfit was the best way to show it off! Kim's outfit just looks strange if we're being totally honest here. It just doesn't look like a real outfit. Maybe it could work as a cute beach cover-up, but we could never imagine any other celebrity wearing this to a red carpet. Well, other than Kim, that is.
