15 Things We Want To See In The Final 'Pretty Little Liars' Episodes
The end is near, Pretty Little Liars super fans, and that's a really sad thing. For almost 7 seasons, we have watched Spencer, Hanna, Emily, and Aria deal with mysteries, secrets, living in an adorable yet creepy town, and growing up. We have laughed, we have cried, and we have felt every single kind of emotion. We have been terrified of A, we've believed the total false alarms where we thought characters were A when they weren't, and we have each had our own theories. The truth is that this show is pretty hard to figure out and we're not usually right when we try to guess what's going to happen. And honestly, that's part of the fun. Since the final 10 episodes (aka season 7B) are going to start airing in April, it's time for us to think about what we want to happen. Here are 15 things we want to see in the final Pretty Little Liars episodes.
15 Who Uber A Really Is
This goes without saying, of course, but we still really need to find out who Uber A is. There is no way that the people behind this show wouldn't tell us who this person is since they've been teasing this reveal for so long. We're pretty nervous about this since this is truly going to prove that the show is over. This is the final mystery. Uber A could literally be anyone at this point. There are some fan theories that it's one of the four main girls but we think that's a really hard sell. It would be strange if Hanna, Aria, Spencer or Emily had been targeting their best friends in the whole entire world for this long. We just don't buy that. But we do have a feeling that when we learn who Uber A is, we will both be surprised… and not shocked at all. It's going to make sense and will wrap everything up perfectly. We just know it.
14 Emily Finds A Great Career
The one character who hasn't figured out what she wants to do with her life definitely is arguably Emily. After her dad died, she had a really rough time and even left school early. We would love to see her find a great career path and start working toward something. She totally deserves all the success and happiness in the world. Of course, all the girls do, but Emily definitely does. Whether we learn what she wants to do in the final few episodes or just quickly hear about it at the end of the series finale is okay with us. We just want to make sure that Emily is on a path of some sort. We're pretty sure that this is something that is going to happen. It wouldn't make sense for all of the girls to find their dreams and passions and for Emily to be left wondering what she's going to do every day of her life. Nope, that wouldn't make sense at all.
13 Every Single Loose End Is Tied Up
Is this wishful thinking? Are we being super silly and ridiculous and immature? No, we do not think so. We think this is exactly what we are allowed to want. Think about it. So many series finales have really betrayed us and made us totally miserable because while we might have liked the episode and enjoyed where the characters ended up, we did not get all the answers that we wanted. We did not get all the answers that we needed, either. (We are looking at you, Lost… ) We have so many answers, we probably do not even remember all of them. We definitely need a good wrap-up of everything that has happened and everyone that has been on the show. No, we are not being high-maintenance. No, we are not being divas. We totally deserve this after being such loyal fans for so many years. Yes we do.
12 A Final Halloween Episode
Okay, so we're not totally sure this is possible, especially because in the past, the Pretty Little Liars Halloween episodes have aired around Halloween. Which would make sense. But since we're going to wish for whatever we can, we're going to wish that we could see one more Halloween storyline. We love these episodes because they are such a perfect fit for the show. Halloween is literally the only holiday that matches the tone and feel of this show. These episodes are like mini horror movies and are much more terrifying than the rest of the series, and we honestly adore that. We like being scared and not knowing what's going on. These episodes usually show the girls at a school dance or on a train or in some kind of location. They're usually looking for A or trying to find someone who is after them. And the Halloween episodes are always super epic.
11 An Ezra And Aria Wedding
When we last saw Aria, she was freaking out and watching Ezra embrace his ex-girlfriend Nicole on the TV news. It turns out that his ex wasn't dead after all and she had been found. This was heartbreaking to Aria since Ezra had proposed and she thought that they were finally going to be together again. And it was heartbreaking for us, too, because we hate seeing these two apart. We truly believe that they are meant to be together. We definitely need to see Ezra and Aria get married in the final episodes -- and maybe even in the series finale. That would definitely be an epic way to end. And yes, we're going to cry. We're going to cry buckets, actually, and we're not even going to be embarrassed. We love these characters that much and basically feel like we know them. So it kind of sucks that since they're not actually real, we can't go to the wedding. Sigh…
10 A New Mystery
One of the coolest ways to end a supernatural TV show or horror/thriller film is when the very last few minutes give a nod to a new mystery. We totally think that would work here. Maybe the final scene will show a new group of teenage girls in Rosewood finding that one of their own friends has disappeared. Or maybe the girls will each be off living their new, wonderful lives and they will each get a mysterious text message signed A. That would be pretty epic and awesome since we are 100 percent sure that we will learn who Uber A is by the time that the final ten episodes have aired. Sure, on the one hand, we want the girls to forget all about what has happened to them so they can finally and actually move on. But the new mystery wouldn't necessarily be something that they have to solve. They could still move away. It would just prove that Rosewood will always have a creepy side to it that can never be stopped.
9 Ezra Sells The Brew
It's time for Ezra to sell The Brew and move on. That's our opinion and we're sticking to it. It was cool for a while for him to bring more of a bookstore feel into the hipster cafe, but we think that he needs to be free and clear to move away with Aria. We definitely don't see her (or any of the other girls, really) staying in Rosewood. If Ezra can sell The Brew to a character that we know and love, we think that would be really cool, too. Maybe Hanna's mom Ashley can own it. That would make a lot of sense since she runs The Radley (aka the mental hospital turned trendy and sophisticated hotel). If not Ashley, then maybe Emily's mom could buy the cafe so she has something good to focus on after the tragic death of her lovely husband. Or maybe Ali can run it since she's going to need some income now that she's pregnant. Hmmm…
8 A Nod To Ravenswood
Whether or not we watched the short-lived spin-off is neither here nor there. What is important is that there is one last mention of this creepy and supernatural town. We never learned what Caleb really experienced there since when he returned home to Rosewood, he told Hanna that he could not get into what happened. As loyal and lovely fans, we did not want to hear that, and it is still not something that we are ready to accept and move on from. Was Caleb so freaked out by the supernatural happenings that he could not talk about it? Or was he afraid that something would come and get him? Who knows?! We would love to find out because we think it is one of the final questions that we need to be answered in the final ten episodes. We do not think it is too much to ask. Come on writers, are you listening?!
7 Ali Has Her Baby
Since Ali learned that she was pregnant in the season 7A finale, we are dying to see her actually have the baby. We think that would be pretty cool and a really interesting path for the character to go down. She would honestly make a great mom because as far as we are concerned, Ali is really misunderstood. Since she came back to Rosewood, she seems like a totally different person. She is much sadder, more serious, and less self-involved, and she is not the popular girl/Queen Bee that she was before she disappeared/ran away. She has had such a rough life and difficult relationship with her family members and that would make her a really nurturing and caring mother. Since this would be such an unexpected thing for Ali to do, we think it is the perfect way to end her story. We always love being surprised.
6 Hanna's Fashion Line Comes Out
When we first learn about the girls' new, older lives five years in the future, we see Hanna working for a fashion designer. She's literally just an assistant and isn't doing anything even remotely creative. But when she quits, she realizes that she should follow her dreams and that means designing her own line. In the final ten episodes, we would love to see Hanna's fashion line come out. We would really like to see what kinds of designs she can come up with. After all, we've been watching Hanna for so long and we've always thought that she's super fashionable. She has a great, unique sense of style (just like all of the girls, of course) and we think that she would create some really interesting and incredible clothes. This would just make us super jealous that this isn't actually real and we can't order and wear the clothes, though…
5 Aria Has Her Book Published
We've loved watching Aria and Ezra work on a book and so we totally need to see this book actually get published. We definitely need a book launch scene and we think the party would be epic (especially because this would be a great opportunity for A to do some of their typical stalking and lurking around). We want to see all of the girls follow their dreams and have really good things happen to them, and this would be something great for Aria. Are we going to cry when she makes a big speech thanking everyone for their support while she was working on the book? No way (which means: yes for sure). Since Aria has had such a rough time at work thanks to her relationship with her co-worker and all of her confusing emotions about working with Ezra, we think that this would be a good way to end that chapter of her life. We think that she should quit so she can write more books and maybe become a freelance writer as well.
4 Spencer Runs For Office
Spencer has been working in politics in DC and she even has been working on her mom's campaign back home in Rosewood. So why couldn't she run for office? Sure, she's super young but hey, we wouldn't put anything past Spencer. She's super smart, super motivated and works harder than anyone we know (whether a fictional character or a real person). We would love to see her run for political office and get really involved in something. We think that she needs a passion project and something good to focus on, especially after everything that she has been through. Do we see her leaving Rosewood? That's a hard question to answer. On the one hand, she could go back to DC with Toby (more on Toby later… ) or go somewhere fabulous like New York and work there. On the other hand, she could run for mayor or some other kind of local position in Rosewood and we could totally see her doing that too.
3 A Beautiful (And Slightly Cheesy) Final Montage
We always want this in a series finale, right? We always feel like we're getting totally robbed if we don't get a beautiful and cheesy final montage. One show that has done this super well is Parenthood. Just try to watch that and not sob for days. Just try. We want to see our favorite couples back together again and happy and living their new, shiny, fabulous lives. We want to make sure that they can really walk away from A and Rosewood and all the weird things that they have seen and experienced. We want to see Aria as a cool writer in Brooklyn (with Ezra, obviously). We want to see Hanna and Caleb living together in New York as well so she can be a fancy fashion designer and he can do something in the realm of technology and computers (of course). We want to see Emily find her passion (we're still not sure what that would be) and we want to see Spencer and Caleb in DC or New York. We don't think that's too crazy. In fact, we think these things will totally happen.
2 Hanna And Caleb Get Engaged
After watching Hanna and Caleb be apart for a long period of time -- and seeing her engaged to Jordan and him dating Spencer -- we have to see these two get engaged. We just have to. There are really no ifs, ands or buts about it, as they say. These two are such a great couple and have always loved each other so much. They bonded back when they were both going through really tough times with high school and their families and oh yeah, all the creepy things that have been going on in Rosewood. Yeah, they broke up because they were hurting and blaming each other for how bad things had gotten, but they have acknowledged that they should have fought harder for each other. We know that every single PLL fan wants these two to get engaged so we're totally rooting for a romantic and wonderful engagement.
1 Spencer And Toby Reunite
Here's the number one thing that we really need to see in the final ten Pretty Little Liars episodes: Toby and Spencer back together again. AKA Spoby. We love that nickname by the way. If we can't get this, we're going to totally freak out. We have seen them be away from each other for way too long. We've had to suffer through Toby's engagement to Yvonne (which was the worst) and we even had to watch Spencer fall for Caleb. We can tell that Spencer and Toby still love each other as much as they did back in the day and that nothing can ever change that. It's really the most obvious thing in the world and they are honestly our favorite couple on the show (and that's saying something since Aria/Ezra and Hanna/Caleb are awesome, too). So if we have one dream, it's seeing these two reunite. And we're really hoping that this happens. Now bring on the end.
