16 Most Cringeworthy Moments Between Celebs And Fans

Yes, being a successful celebrity in Hollywood usually means you gain fame, fortune, get paid to look perfect, and have a legion of fans all but worshipping you. But the downside to such a life is that your privacy becomes non-existent, as you get hounded by people wanting a selfie or an autograph and paparazzi scrambling to take a photo of you when you're doing your groceries. Yes, many celebs insist that they are entitled to their own personal time away from their public appearances, but these pleas seem to fall on deaf ears most of the time.

Many fans can be way out of line in the way they stalk their favorites 24/7, whether it's on social media or seeking them out in their homes or places of work. But celebrities have also been known to display some outrageous behavior and a short fuse of patience when it comes to dealing with their admirers, who, celebrities sometimes fail to remember, were the ones who put them on the map in the first place!

16 Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

Celebrities come under even more intense scrutiny when they are dating another, equally successful celebrity. That's sure to cause paparazzi and fans tracking their every move, even in their private time. One of Hollywood's golden couples is Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, who met on the set of the superhero film Green Lantern. They are no strangers to dating fellow actors, as Lively was once linked to her Gossip Girl co-star, Penn Badgley and Reynolds was once married to Scarlett Johansson. But today, they are happily married with two beautiful daughters. One fan recounts that she and her family were having dinner at a New Orleans restaurant when they realized Lively and Reynolds were seated at the next table. The fan's mom was quite tipsy and ended up cornering Lively in the restroom, singing praises about her and Reynolds as a couple.

    15 Justin Bieber

It's sad that Justin Bieber's image went from wholesome and pure to loathsome and crazy as he outgrew his pre-teen phase and entered adulthood. Such a shame, considering he has sold an estimated 100 million records throughout his career, making him one of the world's best-selling music artists. He has likewise won many awards, including an American Music Award and a Grammy. But despite his musical success, Bieber can't seem to escape hitting the front pages of every tabloid for his outlandish behavior, which ranged from reckless driving in California to vandalism in Brazil to driving under the influence (DUI) in Miami to his racial epithet on a video. He also criticized The Weeknd, who is dating Bieber's ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez. Bieber clearly has no qualms about crossing the line of decency, as seen in some of his photos with fans.

    14 Lisa Kudrow

Lisa Kudrow is best known for her role as the fun-loving and adorable Phoebe Buffay from the TV sitcom Friends. But according to a person who encountered her firsthand, she's not quite as pleasant as her character. The person recounts that in the summer of 1999, she was working at a small indie movie theatre that didn't accept credit cards, but had an ATM 20 feet from the ticket window. One weekday, Kudrow bought a ticket from her and tried to pay with a credit card. The attendant politely apologized and informed her that they didn't accept cards, but that there was an ATM just a few steps away. Kudrow replied in a huff, “don't you know who I am?!” The attendant very calmly said, “yes, I do Ms. Kudrow. However, I still don't have a credit card machine so I can't accept your credit card payment here.”

    13 Will Smith

Will Smith is generally known to be a level-headed, even-tempered guy. Once known as the rapper The Fresh Prince, he starred in the wildly popular TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Since then he has become known as one of the sexiest actors in Hollywood, charming fans in his roles in the films Independence Day, the Men In Black films, Hitch, and the two films that earned him Academy Award nominations: Ali and The Pursuit of Happyness. While being an actor, he also focused on his music career, earning him four Grammy Awards through the years as a rapper. He may be known as a good-natured family guy, but even he has his limits. In this clip, Smith is shown slapping a fan after said fan got too up close and personal with the actor.

    12 Robin Thicke

Robin Thicke isn't just known as the son of actor Alan Thicke. He has made a name for himself not in the acting industry, but in the music field, and he surely has the talent to back it up. As a songwriter and producer, he has worked with prominent artists such as Christina Aguilera, Pharrell Williams, and Usher. As a singer, he's got a good number of hit songs under his belt. Songs such as “Lost Without U,” “Magic,” and “Blurred Lines” have enabled him to display his musical prowess. His personal life is also quite known to the public, especially his former marriage to actress Paula Patton. Nobody knows the real reason the couple split, but given the fact that Thicke is a notorious flirt, one can only assume that Patton filed for divorce because of his wandering eye. When this photo was taken with a leggy female fan, both Thicke and the woman obviously forgot that there was a mirror behind them.

    11 Keith Urban

To moviegoers and TV show fanatics, Keith Urban may only be known as the husband of Nicole Kidman, but little do they know, he is hugely successful and famous in his own right. New Zealand-born Urban is a country musician who made his solo American debut in 1999 with an album that turned platinum in the US. The single “You'll Think of Me” earned him his first Grammy and his succeeding albums were hits as well. One fan recounted her experience in attempting to meet Urban after watching one of his concerts. The fan waited at the back entrance of the concert venue in hopes of getting an autograph from the country singer. As he drove by in his car, he rolled the window down, probably to say hello. Instead of asking for an autograph, the fan yelled, “You make love to your guitar!” She didn't get her autograph.

    10 Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle Union is best known for appearing in teen films such as Bring It On, 10 Things I Hate About You, and She's All That. She was once married to NFL player Chris Howard and is now wed to NBA player Dwayne Wade. A Marine recounts that back in 2009, he was honored at a Miami Heat game and at one point, went to the Grey Goose lounge inside the arena with his date. In the lounge, he met Union, who chatted him up, commending his dress blues and asked if he wanted a drink. When he said he did, Union asked, “Would you like to do a shot of Patron?” Trying to be smooth, the Marine said, “Gabby, I'd do a shot of heroin with you if you wanted.” Union was not expecting that reply, particularly from a military person and ended up spitting out her drink all over his uniform!

    9 Orlando Bloom

He's best known to be part of major film franchises like the Lord of the Rings series, where he played Legolas and the Pirates of the Caribbean films, where he played Will Turner. Orlando Bloom is one of Hollywood's dreamiest actors and his personal life is constantly on the spotlight as well. From his high-profile relationship with and divorce from Miranda Kerr to his romance with Katy Perry, the gossip columns always gave its readers beef on what was going on in his love life. A menswear store attendant recounted that Bloom once dropped by the store and parked his motorcycle right in the middle of the sidewalk directly outside the store. He entered the store shirtless and walked around with the manager, picking out clothes and acting like a prick. When he went to the register to ring up his purchases, Bloom, who is worth millions of dollars, asked for a discount, since he was going to be wearing the brand.

    8 Matthew Perry

We'll always know Matthew Perry as the endearing and witty Chandler Bing from the hit TV show Friends, as Joey and Ross's goofy best friend and the love of Monica's life. Perry seems to have the same personality as his character, always joking around and making witty comments during interviews. But apparently, he's not as awesome as we think. He even admitted in a recent interview to being a bully when he was younger and even beat up Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau back when they were in school! One fan recounted that when Perry was playing tennis in London, the fan, then eight years old, asked for his autograph, to which Perry said, “F*&% off.” It's bad enough he cursed at a well-meaning fan, it's even worse that said fan was just a kid.

7 Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello

Together, they make one striking couple, Sofia Vergara with her long, luscious locks and killer-body; and Joe Manganiello with his equally amazing killer-body and winning smile. Vergara is best known for making us laugh as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the hugely successful sitcom Modern Family, while Manganiello's breakout role was that of werewolf Alcide Herveaux in the HBO series True Blood. The pair tied the knot in November 2015 after a little over a year of dating. A fan once said that her friend was getting surgery in a Los Angeles hospital and when she went to pick up said friend, they saw Vergara wheeling Manganiello out on a wheelchair, presumably from a surgery. The friend said that while in the recovery room, he was so out of sorts because of the anesthesia, that she overheard him asking the nurses if they wanted him to do his “doctor stripper routine.”

    6 Rihanna

Barbadian singer Rihanna was only 17 when she rose to fame in 2005, with the release of her debut studio album Music of the Sun and its 2006 follow-up A Girl Like Me. From these albums came the songs “Pon de Replay” and “SOS,” which are catchy dance songs that people loved gyrating to. In 2007, she decided to reinvent herself as a sex symbol and was constantly seen in her public appearances wearing sexy outfits that showed off her toned body. To say she is recognized anywhere she goes is an understatement, but apparently one person didn't seem to recognize her. The person told Buzzfeed that she saw someone who looked like the singer and said very loudly, “Bitch thinks she's f*&^%* Rihanna with that hair!” The girl turned around and sure enough, it was Rihanna in the flesh.

5 Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick

Sarah Jessica Parker is best known for her role as Carrie Bradshaw in the hit HBO TV show Sex and the City, for which she was won two Emmys. And we'll never forget Matthew Broderick in his roles in the film Ferris Bueller's Day Off and the Broadway production of The Producers. Parker and Broderick have been married for 20 years, which is considered forever by Hollywood standards. One girl who worked at McDonald's tells the story of how she interacted with the couple. She worked at the McDonald's near the Hamptons and one day, Parker and Broderick bought some food via drive-thru. The employee recognized them and promptly exclaimed, “Oh my god, it's Sarah Jessica Parker and Michael J. Fox!” They both laughed as they drove off and it was only when the employee got home that she realized that she mistook Broderick for Fox!

    4 Amanda Seyfried

She's best known for her roles in the TV show Big Love, the teen flick films Mean Girls, and the highly successful movie musicals Mamma Mia and Les Miserables, where she effectively showed off her singing chops. Right now though, Amanda Seyfried is currently enjoying being a newly wed and brand-new mother to a daughter, whom she gave birth to in March 2017. One fan tells the tale of being at a bar in Los Angeles with their brother during award show season, which as we know, is when all the who's who celebrities make their way to Hollywood. When the brother was reaching for his beer at the counter, Seyfried just randomly took his drink and walked out of the bar without looking back, though nobody is sure if it was done on purpose or by accident. A guy patted the fan's brother on the back and offered him a new drink. The nice drink buyer turned out to be none other than Tom Hanks!

    3 Katy Perry

Katy Perry is today considered one of the best-selling musical artists of all time and cannot go anywhere without being recognized by fans or the paparazzi. She is best known for her hit songs, “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” and “Roar,” not to mention her high-profile relationships with John Meyer and Orlando Bloom. But back in 2008, when her star was only beginning to rise, a girl and her friends were walking around at Warped Tour when Perry approached them and said, “Hi, I'm Katy!” but the group of friends was not impressed, calmly replying, “we know.” She then proceeded to tell them that she was performing at 4:00 and asked if they would want a picture. The group of friends politely declined the photo, not knowing that she would be famous someday. Oh, how they must have regretted that missed photo opportunity!

    2 One Direction

Many music lovers groaned inwardly when English-Irish pop boy band One Direction burst into the music scene because everyone thought that the boy band era ended over 10 years ago. But the group of lads composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik proved that they were more than pretty faces. They've won countless awards and despite the fact that they are currently on hiatus and that they lost one member (Malik left the group in March 2015), they are still the highest-earning boy band of all time. It's no surprise that their legions of fans all but swoon at the sight of them. One fan tells the story of watching Elf on Broadway, when the members of the band and their girlfriends walked in and sat down in the row in front of her. She burst into tears and cried for 15 minutes, while her friend stood up and pretended to go to the bathroom just so she could walk behind Tomlinson and touch his hair.

    1 Donald Trump

It's not really any surprise that the current President of the United States Donald Trump makes the list. The billionaire businessman has been a celebrity for decades, thanks to his flamboyant personality, his high-profile business ventures, and the reality show where he gleefully fired contestants he deemed unworthy to win the competition. His personal life is not quite so private either, with his three marriages and five children, the three eldest of whom are very much in the spotlight as well. When he was on the presidential campaign trail, there was a baby who was fussing while Trump was addressing a crowd in Ashburn, Virginia. At first, he reassured the mother not to worry and that he loved babies, even when they were crying. But as the baby continued to wail, Trump changed his mind and said, "Actually, I was only kidding, you can get the baby out of here."
