20 Hottest Flight Attendant Selfies You Have To See

Lot's of people fantasize about their dream job being a flight attendant. You get to mingle with A-listers in the sky (well fluff their pillow maybe), travel the world to exotic locations and be paid for it, stay overnight in luxury hotels with high society comforts, and meet new work buddies who are likely to become friends for life. So it's not quite the Britney Spears in Toxic fantasy but there is still plenty of fun to be had in the sky.

Yet the application procedure is tough and not many people get the job. When we think of flight attendants usually we think - glamor. The hair is fixed perfect, the pencil skirt pressed to perfection and let's not forget the signature red, bold lipstick. However, it's hard work - shifts are typically 10-12 hours, there's always guaranteed a nightmare passenger (or two) onboard and then there's the fact you're hurtling at full speed in a metal tube across the sky - yet somehow, they always manage to look flawless.

Thanks to several blogs and Instagram accounts online, we have hunted down the hottest flight attendant selfies we could find. (You're welcome!)

    20 Etihad Airlines Group Selfie

One cabin crew member wrote on her personal blog, A Day In The Life Of Etihad Cabin Crew, that she would have to be looking nothing less than perfect at all times. She wrote, "I would get ready, makeup up done, hair done, earrings and a watch is obligatory to have. Uniform on, name tag on, wing pin on, hat on, the small carry on luggage ready to go with the handbag. At the beginning when I was a new joiner, as a crew, (this) stuff would take ages to do. I would get up hours and hours before to do this all in a perfect way.

She added,  "If it's not in the right way, we have this grooming manager at the airport that checks every crew for grooming/attire etc and if you have been lazy and didn't do the things correct you can get a warning."

    19 Legs Up!

Cabin crew are expected to work long hours so it won't surprise and most of that time they will spend on their feet. Many people would be surprised to find out that there are secret bedroom compartments on certain aircraft. On Boeing 777 and 787 planes, there are secret beds and curtains, accessible by secret staircases and hidden behind security-coded doors.

However, these are not the most comfortable spaces to sleep in. One cabin crew member told The Mail Online, "On the Boeing 747's it's all bunk beds and on the 777 it feels like you're in a coffin. They are cramped but you can make it comfortable if you get a blanket or pillow." Or just steal the idea this crew member had and just make yourself comfortable in the pilot's chair.

    18 Air Malta Cabin Crew

In 2015, Air Malta airlines made the news when they offered a sweet deal for passengers who took to the sky with them - free massages. Known as the "Sky Spa", economy passengers were allowed to treat themselves to a hand massage or a neck massage from the crew so they could relax mid-flight. A spokesperson for the airline confirmed this was "just the beginning" of new additions to the service that was "aimed at enhancing customers' experience."

Air Malta crew would be happy enough to make other passengers comfortable as they are well looked themselves. According to the blog confessionsofatrolleydolly.com, they revealedAir Malta's uniforms are some of the “best and most glamorous… uniforms gracing our skies." Well, these three ladies look happy enough.

    17 Close Friends

Crew members like to fool around together - whether that's romantically or just pulling pranks on each other, they are always at it. According to Confessions of a Fed-Up Flight Attendant blogger, known anonymously as "Betty", she likes to strike when they are new to the job. She wrote, "I love new hires because they are brimming with enthusiasm. They are also very eager to please and don't know the ropes. You can only learn so much in training. The rest is learned on the line. Some gullible new hires have fallen for standard newbie pranks."

She continued, "The 'air test' is where you tell the new hire that we have to test the air quality on certain flights. You give them a recycle bag and tell them to go 'catch' the air in First Class and then have them do another air catching spectacle for the economy cabin. Upon arrival, we have them hand in their bags full of air to a stunned gate agent."

    16 Israel El Al Selfie

Just like the ladies, male flight attendants need to keep themselves well-groomed all the time too. They attend a "grooming school" before they receive the job offer just to show them exactly what's expected and men are encouraged to wear makeup too.

Grooming Manager Mim Allgood told the Daily Mail, "Stewardesses must wear mascara, blusher, and red lipstick. The boys are allowed to use clear mascara and wear make-up - like to cover up a spot - as long as you can't tell." It's also suggested that crew are between 5ft 2inches and 6 ft 2inches in height  and "with weight in proportion." Keeping within these frame lines must be why the other member of cabin crew got the job - that and the fact that he would be many people's dream flight attendant.

    15 United Airlines Selfie Time

One of the most enjoyable Reddit threads was when flight attendants were asked about on board secrets. One anonymous user wrote, "When a passenger is disgustingly rude to check-in staff, they would put him in an area circled with children. Do not p*** your check-in staff off, they will smile politely as they return your boarding pass and you will never know the hell that awaits you."

Also, one that's a bit more grim, as one user added, "Those blankets and pillows? Yeah, those just get refolded and stuffed back in the bins between flights. Only fresh ones I ever saw were on an originating first flight in the morning in a provisioning city." So think twice when you're next snuggling up to a blanket on board.

    14 Smiles on Norwegian Airlines

It's no wonder this member of the cabin crew has a smile breaking across his face as Norwegian Airlines are well-known for their sense of humor. When news broke last year that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were divorcing after 12 years together, the airline ran a promotional advert advertising flights from Oslo in Norway to Los Angeles, where the Brad Pitt is based, and they added the caption: "Brad is Single."

Although some people called the advert insensitive (considering the divorce came after an alleged bust-up on a different plane journey) many saw the funny side. Norwegian Airlines still remain in the top spot as Europe's best low-cost airline as voted for at the World Travel Awards - with flights from Europe to the US costing as little as $189.

13 No Drama on Board Spirit Airlines

Spirit Airlines are well-known for two things: low-cost airline travel across the US and the "Italian Barbie" woman who had a serious meltdown at the check-in desk. 25-year-old Vanessa Grancagnolo was traveling from Los Angeles to Seattle when she was charged $105 to check-in her luggage, she then decided to live stream her rant as she verbally abused the staff.

She screamed, "I would like a refund now! I'm 25 and I'm a grown-a** woman, and I need a refund now! Do something to me b****!" She continued, "It's not about the money you dumb b****. It's not about the money. It's about respect, values, and morals." She then stated her mother was a dermatologist and her father a Physics professor so there was no need to treat her this way. Her final words were: "I got more money than all of you f****** combined b****" before she was escorted away by airport police. The above Spirt Airlines crew are probably celebrating that Grancangnolo did not make it onboard.

    12 Taking A Break

One of the anonymous Reddit users wrote: "It's rare, but there are flights where there are no passengers on board. With no passengers to see us, we can do things we would never do in the sight of paying customers. This is when we go aisle surfing."

To those of us who are not too sure about the art of aisle surfing, they added, "Here's how you do it: You get a meal tray, then stand or sit on it at the front of the airplane. On takeoff, you attempt to aisle surf all the way to the back of the plane. I have never done this because it usually ends badly. You can really gain speed on the carpet, but when you hit the rubber galley floor the tray stops while the aisle surfer goes flying!" Sounds like great fun to us (except for the almost breaking a bone part) - although not something we are ever allowed to do onboard.

    11 Junior Cabin Crew

One junior cabin crew member is getting a head start when it comes to perfecting her hair. Over the years, certain airlines have been scrutinized for their strict regulations when it comes to how cabin crew members keep their appearance and also how they choose to live their lives. One of those airlines was Qatar Airways who demand that flight attendants remain unmarried for the first five years they work at the airline - something which is written into their contracts.

When asked about this, spokesperson CEO Akbar al-Baker told Reuters, "If you come to seek employment with Qatar Airways we give you a document that these are the rules and regulations, if you as a mature individual accept those conditions, then you shouldn't complain. He added, "You know they have come there to do a job and we make sure that they are doing a job that they give us a good return on our investment."

    10 Egypt Air Selfie

Egypt Air has some of the hottest male crew members in the world (simply see further evidence above) but that could soon be a thing of the past as they have introduced all-female crew flights. On International Women's Day this year, Egypt Airlines launched two flights with female cabin crew and pilots. Only 3% of all pilots in the world are female.

Egyptair Airlines CEO, Captain Sherif Ezzat, announced, “It is time to promote women's empowerment and encourage more Egyptian women to pursue aviation careers. Today is going to be very inspiring for all the women all over the world, aviation women and particularly the Egyptian woman.” With these steps in the right direction, there are expected to be more female pilots than ever taking to the skies in the future.

    9 Before Take Off

Everyone's heard of the "Mile High Club" (basically it applies to anyone who has got frisky onboard a plane) and it's no surprise that crew members have the most shocking confessions. One anonymous crew member caught a Hollywood star having a passionate affair in the bathroom - despite the fact that he was married.

They revealed, "There was a Hollywood star flying in first class. In the middle of the night during the red-eye, the flight attendant call button kept chiming on and off. I ran to business class and there was no problem. I ran to first class and it was the Hollywood star and his 'manager' in the bathroom. Apparently, his or her ass was hitting the call button. We stood outside the bathroom until they came out. A week later, I saw in a tabloid that this celeb's wife was eight months pregnant. Not so funny then."

    8 Saudi Airline Close Crew

Due to the Islamic Law, alcohol is forbidden in Saudi Arabia and on their airlines, you wouldn't be able to find a drop. In some cases however, that's actually a good thing as the pressure in the cabin means you end up drunker much quicker than normal. One anonymous flight attendant told Cosmopolitan, "I was working a flight to Houston from Newark that was delayed three hours. While sitting on the runway, the flight attendants served passengers food and alcohol while we waited. I saw a guy and girl introduce themselves when they sat down next to each other."

She continued, "They proceeded to get wasted. Once we took off, they went in and out of the bathroom twice together and made out constantly. She sat on his lap when we were about to land and I had to tell her to get in her own seat. When we landed, they walked out of the plane hand-in-hand like they'd known each other for years."

    7 Air Asia India Team

We've heard of snakes on a plane but a monkey loose on a plane seems to be just as horrific. One cabin crew member told Cosmopolitan, "A passenger was a quadriplegic and brought a service monkey with him on the plane. The monkey started going nuts on the flight. It was feeding on the passenger food and started spewing the food all over the plane. Another flight attendant took the monkey and put it in the bathroom, but then it started going apeshit in there. They could not get that monkey to calm down."

Service monkeys are not uncommon as they can help those who are disabled with day-to-day tasks. Although there has been controversy surrounded this as Sarah Baeckler Davis, executive director of the North American Primate Sanctuary Alliance, told the Daily Mail, "Monkeys do not belong in human homes, whether as pets or service animals." Or on planes for that matter…

    6 British Airways Smiles

Earlier this year, the crew members of British Airways were left "vomiting, dizzy and confused" following a suspected leak of "toxic fumes" into the cabin onboard a flight from San Francisco to London. When the crew became sick, they were forced to use the emergency oxygen supplies. Passengers on the plane raised the concerns as the crew began to appear "spaced out" and as if they were "lost" on the plane.

A full report by the Sunday Times read, "It soon became apparent that more crew were behaving in a non-normal manner (with) reports of dizziness, light heads, headaches, nausea, itchy red eyes, metallic taste in mouth, floating-type feelings, flushed, aggression and, most worryingly, forgetfulness and confusion, inability to think straight and converse in normal manner." Thankfully all twelve crew members managed to receive medical help when they landed and there was no long-term damage from the fumes.

    5 Gift From A Brazilian

It's really no surprise that Brazil has some of the hottest crew members in the world as they are one of the most beautiful nations overall. According to the travel dating website MissTravel.com, Brazil is the 8th sexiest nation in the world for men and 1st for women.

Another bonus is that Brazilian men are more forward when it comes to flirting. Blogger Mary Bolling Blackiston told Elite Daily, "If a Brazilian finds a girl beautiful, he will tell her. None of this, “you're kinda cute” or “you look nice” business. I'm talking real compliments, like “voce é muito linda” (you are so beautiful). In Brazil, it is not unusual for a man to bombard a woman with compliments as she walks down the street. It is almost as if it's in their DNA to flatter women; they just can't help it."

    4 Luxury Trvael with Emirates

Emirates has been considered one of the best airlines in the world for quite some time - so it's no surprise they only employ the hottest crew in the world. Flying with Emirates is like nothing else; they provide a luxury car service, a full bar onboard, complimentary champagne, and seats you can sleep in. Each passenger - even those in the economy - also receives a luxury gift set which comes in the shape of a Bulgari bag and includes perfume.

Despite all this added luxury, some passengers just can't be pleased. According to the Emirates blog, some of the most unusual requests have been a passenger who was flying over Nice, South of France, asking the stewardess if they could "go a bit further down the coast so we can have a look at Monaco". Another passenger asked, "Why can't you open the window and give us some air? It's really stuffy in here." Then another, "My children are getting bored and fidgety. Is there anyone in the cabin crew that can do magic tricks?" Sometimes you just can't win.

    3 Friends In High Places

One question many people have wanted to know over the years is: do the pilots really hook up with the flight attendants? One crew member confessed to Jalopnik, "As a former flight attendant who recently resigned: Yes, they do hook up with flight attendants frequently. Not only do pilots hook up with the attendants but also passengers they meet on the flights, random women at bars hotels etc."

Travelling plus temptation leads also to a lot of infidelity behind closed doors. The confessor continued, "Also, it seemed like most of the pilots who were married- were actively cheating or trying to cheat on their wives. I learned that one airline, the pilot's wives came together to pressure the company into booking different hotels for Attendants and pilots to avoid this."

    2 Fun With Buns

Here's the big thing about airline food: it's not that hygienic. The trays tend to not get cleaned down as much as they should and that also goes for tables you eat off as there just isn't enough time to deep clean everything in between flights. One former crew member named Alison Hope told Refinery 29, "Passengers often use the trays as their own private diaper changing tables, and sadly, they are cleaned far less than you'd be comforted to know."

She also suggested that you skip the free tea and coffee as these usually come from a hot tank that's hard to clean so it's covered in bacteria. She recommends wiping down your own tray on the flight and also wiping down your luggage when you get it returned to you - as often this has been handled by a lot of different people.

    1 Well Earned Rest

Here's some good advice for you from one Reddit thread: "My girlfriend is a flight attendant. NO ONE tips flight attendants. If you give your FA a fiver with your first drink you'll probably drink for free the rest of the flight."

As the face of the airline, it's the flight attendants job to make sure you are as comfortable as possible during your travels - but let's not forget they are human too. Pet hates including snapping your fingers when you want a drink, walking around without your shoes on, unruly children or blocking an aisle are all behaviors that can make them see red. Although they are very unlikely to show it - instead just pointing you out to the other crew members that you're a nightmare passenger.
