13 Savage Reality TV Couples Who Are Anything But #Goals

No one ever really looks to reality TV as the way to live their lives, but we all definitely have our favorite couples, who seem to make it through almost anything and come out stronger on the other side. Plus, they seem really good for each other!

These are not those couples. Instead, these couples have lived their relationships on the small screen with the kind of intense look that leaves no stone unturned. From cheating to name-calling to manipulation to fighting to all-out abuse, these couples are the pairs that are definitely anything but #goals. When you're on a reality show, a lot of what you say and do gets edited to have maximum dramatic impact, but it seems like these 13 couples didn't need the editing help - they were dramatic all on their own! Many of the couples on this list have been up-and-down, and off-and-on for years, but even those who finally split for good still take it upon themselves to trash their former SOs at every opportunity. They may make good TV but they definitely don't make a recipe for love success! But hey, lesson learned, right?

13 Paulie Calafiore & Zakiyah Everette, Big Brother 18

A self-proclaimed player, Paulie Calafiore was a clear front-runner on 2016's season of Big Brother, cleaning up in competitions and developing multiple alliances to boost his strategy. What he didn't bet on was meeting Zakiyah Everette, a preschool teacher who soon latched onto Paulie and the two became a clear power couple. But, while Paulie began as a leader, he left as one of the most hated people in the house, beginning with him hitting on another houseguest while already being involved with Zakiyah, letting slip that he had proposed to another women before coming onto the show, and then finally going on a major meltdown! While not shown on TV, the live feeds within the house had Paulie attacking houseguest Natalie for her breast augmentation, and going on a misogynistic rant, calling the female houseguests all sorts of disrespectful names. While these moments are terrible in and of themselves, Paulie also exhibited the same level of respect for Zakiyah, manipulating her feelings throughout the show and into their time on Jury, where the other houseguests tried to convince Zakiyah of Paulie's nefarious motives.

12 Camille & Kelsey Grammer, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Who would've thought that such a celebrated actor like Kelsey Grammer would find his way onto a list like this, much less one with a woman who was a cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? It seems like his wife had a lot of dirty laundry to air - and wanted to do it on air - when she almost immediately informed the other Housewives and viewers that Kelsey wanted out of their marriage and had suggested she join the cast to have something to do, to better live their lives separately. It seems the feeling was mutual, since Camille was happy to get on the fame roller coaster, at the expense of all personal relationships. And she's got a reputation to prove it - Life & Style readers polls her at being the most hated Housewife ever with 52% of the votes!

Since the pair split, things still haven't been running smoothly, with Camille claiming that Kelsey was callous in the way he asked for a divorce, neglectful of their children, and verbally abusive towards her.

11 Joe & Teresa Giudice, Real Housewives of New Jersey

The couple that goes to jail together stays together, right? These two were ordered to serve separate sentences for tax fraud, with Teresa completing her 11-month sentence in December and Joe entering into his 41-month stay shortly afterwards. Teresa is known for her fiery temper (remember the table-flipping?), so it's a bit surprising that she's stuck with Joe for the entirety of their 17-year marriage. In an interview with Us Weekly, fellow cast mate Jacqueline Laurita says that it's probably due to Teresa's thick skin and how much they've been through already, including parenting their four daughters.

However, while the two committed fraud and rumors abound that Teresa will file for divorce after Joe gets out, Jacqueline thinks that if she can survive the brutal fights and name-calling she endured from Joe, plus multiple accusations of his infidelity, then the couple can weather any storm. Sure, they may be able to make it through some pretty terrible moments but at this point, should they even bother?

10 Spencer Pratt & Heidi Montag, The Hills

They're one of the most hated reality TV couples of all time, so of course Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, aka Speidi, shouldn't be anyone's idea of #couplegoals! In addition to their time on The Hills, which saw Spencer actively manipulating Heidi's good nature and isolating her from her friends and family, the pair have also appeared on other reality shows like I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Celebrity Big Brother (UK Edition), and Celebrity Wife Swap and have become the most hated couple of them all!

It seems like the spotlight is the third member of this marriage, and that the couple will do anything to keep their names in the tabloids, including staging a fake divorce filing. While the pair have certainly proved almost everyone wrong by remaining together after many years, they're still not the kind of couple to aspire to, thanks to their obsession with image, media manipulation, and the lies that Spencer used in order to keep Heidi vulnerable, effectively ending some of the solid friendships in her life, including those with Lauren Conrad and her own sister, Holly.

9 Tori Spelling & Dean McDermott, Tori & Dean

They've already got four kids, with one more on the way, but Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are definitely not the kind of couple who belong on your Pinterest wedding boards. First, this couple began as an affair, with Tori as the mistress since she was stepping out on her current husband, and then, while neither are extremely well known (Tori's most recognizable role was on Beverly Hills, 90210), they've made a gaggle of TV shows, including So Notorious, Tori & Dean: Inn Love, Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, and Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings. You'd think that with all that work the couple would be rolling in it, but instead, they're broke, and Tori's mother refuses to bail out the daughter from whom she's estranged. Oh, and there's also that little issue of Dean cheating on his wife and mother of his children in a two-day affair with a 28-year-old. Never a couple to shy away from baring it all for public consumption, the fallout of that ordeal was documented for viewers too, in a 6-episode Lifetime documentary, True Tori.

8 Sammi Giancola & Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Jersey Shore

Raahhhhn! Staaahhp! The memes and jokes write themselves with this volatile pair, but that doesn't mean they're the duo you want to emulate in your own romantic life. Throughout their time on MTV's Jersey Shore, we were delighted to watch the mess that was Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, which included multiple fights, tears, and sloppy make-ups in the smush room. The jealousy between these two is what really makes them such a disastrous couple, with Ronnie ripping apart Sammi's room (and breaking her glasses!) after finding out that she spoke to another guy, and Sammi dissolving into tears and yelling after finding out Ron had engaged in a three-way make-out session with two other women (which was revealed in an anonymous note written by Snooki and JWoww).

Even though the cameras have stopped rolling, Sam and Ron are still just as up-and-down as ever, getting back together in March 2016 after a year-and-a-half breakup. Oh, you two!

7 Kourtney Kardashian & Scott Disick, Keeping Up With the Kardashians

One of the longest-running on-and-off couples in reality TV history, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick have been role models for what NOT to do in a relationship for quite some time. With Scott's womanizing ways and ongoing issues with drug and alcohol abuse, Kourtney had to pull the plug on her relationship with the father of her three children - at least for a while. Despite the fact that Scott checked a model fling into the same hotel he was staying at with the Kardashians during a family vacation, it looks like Kourtney and Lord Disick have reunited yet again. Sometimes when you've been with a person for so long, it's easier (and less scary) to stay with them rather than search out new waters. But the two are just toxic together! Scott is hardly a model boyfriend, having repeatedly stepped out on Kourtney, claimed he would be more attracted to her if she lost weight, missed his daughter's birthday, and insulted and name-called his SO on multiple occasions (all on TV)!

6 Courtney Stodden & Doug Hutchison, Couples Therapy

Their relationship is already weird enough as it is, with Courtney Stodden being only 16 years old when she married 50-year-old actor Doug Hutchison, but they've proved time and again that they are anything but goals since! In addition to their over-the-top staged photos, we've all seen far more of the train wreck couple that we ever wanted to with appearances on multiple reality shows.

After getting married, the pair filed for divorce, changed their minds, renewed their vows, got pregnant, and suffered a miscarriage. During their time on the show Couples Therapy and The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition, viewers then saw Courtney confront her mother, Krista, about an emotional affair Krista claims to have had with Doug! While Doug denied such a thing ever took place, claiming that it was all in Krista's head and that he is not attracted her in any way whatsoever, the whole ordeal was definitely another chink in the couple's armor, who are still living together but currently separated, according to ET Online.

5 Farrah Abraham & Simon Saran, Teen Mom

Okay, Farrah Abraham is not exactly a person who makes good decisions (just look to her career in the adult industry, selling adult toys based on her lady parts, and taking a decidedly hands-off approach to parenting her daughter, Sophia), and that couldn't be more clear in her on-off relationship with Simon Saran.

The couple have been rocky from the get-go, breaking up and getting back together countless times, Farrah buying herself an engagement ring that Simon promised to pay back (he didn't), Simon fighting with Farrah's mother, and Simon publicly trashing her girlfriend to RadarOnline, calling her fake and saying he asked what she did with her face when she came back for a Teen Mom OG episode with fresh lip injections. Farrah, in turn, called Simon “unstable”. The two just don't seem to like each other very much, and while Farrah tries to make it as a businesswoman, Simon is content to position himself as Teen Mom OG's biggest villain. Not exactly a good combination!

4 Amber Portwood & Gary Shirley, Teen Mom

They're no longer together, fortunately, but the mess that was Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley is too catastrophic not to mention. Amber, a former cast member of MTV's 16 and Pregnant later split from the father of her daughter, and then found herself in prison for drug possession. While Amber and Gary have always had an intense relationship, after their daughter Leah's birth, the couple's bickering turned into all-out brawls, with televised instances of Amber beating up Gary - in front of their young daughter! - which led to felony charges for the “star” and permanent scarring for Gary.

The two have now made a decision to co-parent their daughter, with Gary retaining primary custody and their communication is going as smoothly as possible. But it seems that Amber still has trouble keeping a steady and healthy relationship: she's now engaged to a man 19 years her senior who is alleged to be in custody battles with multiple women!

3 Jon & Kate Gosselin, Jon & Kate Plus 8

They've been divorced for quite a while, but Jon and Kate Gosselin were seen as the height of domestic bliss for a few years while filming their TLC show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, which recounted the family's raising of their eight children, including a set of sextuplets. Every week, viewers watched the marriage deteriorate into Kate screaming at Jon for his incompetency and desire to be just another one of the kids, while Jon was alleged to be having an affair with Kate's plastic surgeon's daughter.

After finalizing their divorce, there was no love lost between the two, with Jon now claiming that Kate is keeping their children from seeing him, including their special-needs son, Collin, whom he alleges he hasn't seen in a year and a half. Kate, for her part, claims that Jon uses his employment as a DJ to act as a front for drug dealing and that she suspects an inappropriate relationship between him and one of their daughters. Still messy, still awful, and still nothing any sane couple should aspire to be!

2 Josh & Anna Duggar, 19 Kids and Counting

These two seem to be sticking it out against all odds and maybe it's their upbringing that's to blame because their union certainly isn't a healthy one! After it came to light that husband Josh Duggar had molested five girls as a teenager, including four of his own sisters, another bombshell was dropped: Josh had cheated on his wife, Anna, using a fake photo on the site Ashley Madison, which is designed around facilitating discreet affairs for married members.

The pair have four children, and Anna was living in a house owned by Josh's parents while he completed his stay in a faith-based sex rehab facility for his indiscretions as well as an addiction to adult-oriented materials. While Anna has every right and reason to file for divorce from Josh, it seems that she will stand by her man on account of the couple's religion. If tabloids are to be believed, however, it'll only be until Anna is comfortable enough that she can sever ties with the Duggars and be away from toxic Josh forever.

1 Jax Taylor & Stassi Schroeder, Vanderpump Rules

Their up-and-down relationship has been a reason to hate-watch Vanderpump Rules for many seasons, but Jax Taylor and Stassi Schroeder are without a doubt the couple that no one should consider when they're looking for relationship goals.

The biggest thing to point at here is Jax cheating on Stassi with a bottle service waitress while in Vegas - and that same waitress claiming to be pregnant by Jax later! (Which was fortunately proven to be false.) Of course, Jax never told his GF himself, and instead she had to find out from Frank, the bartender, which also adds insult to injury. Following this reveal, in a later interview with Bravo's Andy Cohen, Stassi claimed her own innocence, saying that she had never retaliated and cheated on Jax. Except, she had - another indicator of why this relationship was doomed from the get-go. It made incredible television and definitely prompted people to watch in season one. But with a new girlfriend on the scene, Brittany, who boasts a new pair of breasts (bought by Jax, naturally), the shallow drama between these two is never far from our minds.
