15 Celebrities Who Forgave Their Cheating Partners

Cheating celebrities remind us that nobody's perfect - not even the rich and famous. And while money can buy pretty much anything, there are times when celebrities too want what they can't, or rather, shouldn't have. And once they've strayed, many celebrity cheaters beg for their partners to take them back, knowing they're not guaranteed to get lucky twice.

The tabloids tend to feature cheating gossip that ends in messy breakups (perhaps for better shock value), but believe it or not, there are celebrity cheating scandals that have ended happily ever after - if there is such a thing. Besides, who's to say a little frolic in the Garden of Eden can't happen to the best of us?

Seen in the public eye post-infidelity, here are 15 celebrities who've forgiven their partners for eating the forbidden fruit, and proved they meant it when they said “'through thick and through thin”. Well, for the most part.

15 Sarah Jessica Parker

Unfortunately, her happy-go-lucky love life on Sex and the City didn't quite translate in Sarah Jessica Parker's marriage. While she was filming the Sex and the City movie in Los Angeles, it was rumored that her husband Matthew Broderick was seen with a much younger redhead several times while she was away.

Rumors of his affair surfaced, but it wasn't enough to split up their marriage. In fact, the couple decided to expand their family one year after the rumors instead, and welcomed twins Marion and Tabitha via a surrogate mother. They are still together and appear happily married today.

14 Victoria Beckham

A 16 year anniversary is right around the corner for Victoria and David Beckham, but the former Spice girl and fashion designer was the victim of cheating rumors a few years ago. In 2004, their “rocky” marriage took the spotlight when word got out that David Beckham had an affair with his personal assistant and two other women.

The rumors have never been confirmed by the professional soccer player, but his assistant, Rebecca Loos, had no problem kissing and telling. It's still unclear as to whether she confirmed the rumors for fame or was telling the truth. But a few years later, she admitted she went about the allegations the wrong way.

Either way, the rumors didn't make a dent in Victoria and David Beckham's relationship. They still appear happily married when pictured together, and with their four children.

13 Kendra Wilkinson

After the birth of their son, rumors surfaced about a cheating scandal between a transgender woman and her husband, former football player, Hank Baskett.

Years later, Hank Baskett addressed the rumors and confessed they were true - to a certain extent. While he claims responsibility for being involved in foreplay with the transgender woman, he claims he froze with fear when approached by the transgender woman, and was unable to properly remove himself from the situation.

Now, we don't need the details about how the cheating scandal went down, because Kendra forgave Hank Baskett and the two are still together today.

12 Tori Spelling

There's no escaping Tori Spelling when it comes to Hollywood gossip, but in one heartbreaking episode of Spelling's reality show, True Tori, her husband Dean McDermott admitted to cheating on her in front of thousands of people on national television. During the episode, Dean confessed to sleeping with a 28-year-old woman because his marriage was “sexless”.

Now, it's somewhat of an oxymoron, but the cheating scandal is actually rumored to be untrue. Rumor has it that the couple staged the incident to earn more money, and possibly, another show.

Whether or not the affair was real, Tori and Dean are still together and have four children: Stella, Liam, Hattie and Finn.

11 Gwen Stefani

It seems that some celebrities develop a “case of the nannies”, which happened to Gavin Rossdale, the husband of pop singer and The Voice co-host, Gwen Stefani.

Rossdale was said to be having a three year long affair with one of their nannies, and the truth came out when flirtatious texts between the two were found as evidence on the family's iPad. Since the iPad was synced to Rossdale's phone, the rumors were harder to deny.

In this case, Gwen and Gavin filed for divorce a few years later, due to irreconcilable differences. But it sounds as though Gwen's forgiven him to a certain extent, and when asked about the split, she responded, “ While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment.”

Gwen's latest single, “Used to Love You” was released shortly after the split.

10 Wendy Williams

Many people wondered why talk show host Wendy Williams (and queen of Hollywood gossip herself) chose to stay with her husband, television producer Kevin Hunter, after she caught him cheating shortly after their son was born.

Wendy's reason for staying with Kevin was summed up in one sentence: the incident only made their marriage stronger. Regardless of how the couple overcame their difficulties, they're still together and will be celebrating twenty years of marriage in 2017.

When confronted about the infidelity in her marriage in an interview, Wendy said “The best advice that I can give is that if you're the one who was cheated on, whether you decide to stay or leave, forgive and forget either way.”

9 Huma Abedin

Huma Abedin, aide to Hillary Clinton, learned that her husband, ex-Congressmen Anthony Weiner, had allegedly cheated on her based on texts found on his phone. The context of his texts (read: dirty) to other women were what initially led Huma - and the rest of us - to believe he was having an affair.

It's unclear as to whether Weiner took action on the texts, or if the sexts were his way of releasing sexual tension without taking any physical action. Although she's aware of the texts, Huma has stayed in her marriage and worked through the difficulties with her husband.

8 Vanessa Bryant

Married to LA Lakers star, Kobe Bryant, Vanessa Bryant was said to have been cheated on several times during their marriage. In one instance, Kobe was even charged for assault while he was cheating. Although the woman who accused Kobe of assault never testified against him, the rumors that he cheated on Vanessa several times didn't fade away.

But even though the rumors halted the NBA player's career, they weren't quite enough to halt his marriage. Vanessa filed for divorce in 2011, but the couple later decided not to call it quits and worked through their differences instead.

7 Jaime Bergman

It was unpredictable as to whether the former Playmate's marriage to actor David Boreanaz would survive confirmed cheating rumors.

Boreanaz confronted the rumors of cheating on his then-pregnant wife, admitting he'd made a mistake in their marriage and had been unfaithful to Jaime Bergman.

Perhaps the reason David came clean about his affair was because of the threats he received from his mistress, the infamous Rachel Uchitel. Uchitel, who earned her fifteen seconds of fame for first being Tiger Wood's mistress, requested thousands of dollars from Boreanaz to stay hush hush about their relationship.

But instead of allowing himself to be threatened, David confirmed the rumors publicly himself. Jaime stuck by his side, and the two are still together today.

6 Gabrielle Union

Although they weren't married at the time of the affair, Gabrielle Union and NBA player, Dwyane Wade hit some bumps in their relationship before tying the knot. During their relationship, rumors of Dwyane's affair spread across the tabloids, but all allegations were denied - until his mistress (or at least, one of them) became pregnant.

It's been denied that the affair took place while Union and Wade were in a committed relationship (aka: they were on a break), but the incident, or whatever it was, wasn't enough to pull the couple apart. They tied the knot after the alleged affair became public, and have been married since 2014.

5 Elizabeth Hurley

At one time, actor Hugh Grant and model/actress Elizabeth Hurley were one of the most talked about Hollywood couples. The pair never married, but stayed together for a number of years, despite many cheating rumors and incidents. At one point, Grant even got caught in his car with the infamous prostitute, Divine Brown, while they were still together.

But while it was clear that the rumors and incidences were water under the bridge for Elizabeth the couple did split after a 13-year-long relationship, due to unrelated reasons. It's said that they still remain close friends today.

4 Hillary Clinton

Even most millennials have heard about the infamous affair Bill Clinton, former president of the United States, had with his secretary, Monica Lewinsky, who was 23 years old at the time.

This time, the rumors that blanketed the covers of tabloids were later confirmed by the president himself. Bill Clinton admitted to his affair in a public speech and referred to it as a mistake.

The scandal itself was one of the most widely-covered among celebrity cheaters, but it wasn't enough to convince the former First Lady to end her marriage. The couple are still together today, and Bill is frequently pictured standing by her side as she runs for the American presidential election in 2016.

3 Nicole Kidman

America's favorite Aussie and award-winning actress, Nicole Kidman, was surrounded by rumors that her husband Keith Urban was having an affair while they were still newlyweds.

A few short months after the couple said “I do”, American model Amanda Wyatt came forward and spilled the details of her affair with Keith to the press. She also included a few personal details about his battle with addiction, and explained they'd had a casual relationship years before he met Nicole Kidman, which apparently hadn't ever officially stopped.

And even though Amanda referred to the 48-year-old country singer when she said “a leopard never changes his spots,” Nicole Kidman believed he could.

Today, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have pushed past their troubles and will celebrate ten years of marriage this year with their two children, Sunday and Faith.

2 Fergie

The pop singer married American actor, Josh Duhamel in 2009. But a few months after their wedding, rumors surfaced that Duhamel had cheated on Fergie with stripper, Nicole Forrester.

But in an interview with Oprah, Fergie discussed how the bumps in her marriage were actually blessings in disguise. Rather than divorcing, Fergie and Josh Duhamel used their marriage difficulties as an opportunity (although the cheating rumors have never been confirmed) to improve their communication and strengthen their relationship. According to Fergie, years after the rumors, they're more in love than ever.

The 43-year-old actor and 41-year-old pop singer have one son together, Axl Duhamel.

1 Selena Gomez

It turns out that the famous tween pop couple, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber weren't all sunshine and rainbows after all.

Although Selena appeared to have every teen girl's dream in the palm of her hand by dating Justin Bieber, he was allegedly seeing other women behind her back, including one of her closest friends, Kendall Jenner.

But Selena wasn't a belieber of the rumors. The couple reportedly stayed together despite the accusations, but split a few years later, and have been on and off ever since. It's unclear as to whether the “cheating” took place during their relationship, or in between. Either way, their bond hasn't been completely broken.
