15 Celebrities Who Forgot To Shave

We all hate unwanted hair - on our legs, under our arms, the top lip… it just grows everywhere. There are many options on the market to help us tackle the fuzz and most people just want to get rid of the excess quickly and permanently. Celebrities are human just like the rest of us, but you would think with that much cash in the bank they would never leave the house looking anything less than perfect - however, this isn't always the case.

These following stars have all been caught out looking a little fluffier than usual. Wherever it's the bright stage lighting or the flash of the photographer's camera, this shows us something that the celebs did not check in the bathroom mirror before leaving the house.

Some stars choose not to shave at all. Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik revealed on her own website, "I remain the tomboy/feminist who has never in her life shaved her legs or armpits. Ever." But for others, they simply forgot to reach for the razor and these are just some of the most shocking personal grooming oversights.

    15 Celine Dion

When Celine Dion took to the stage in Tokyo, the My Heart Will Go On singer shocked the crowds as it appeared she had not packed her razor for the trip. What should have been an otherwise dazzling performance, her thick leg hair showing up in the stage lights was all her fans could focus on.

The Canadian-born superstar was likely missing her home comforts as she is more accustomed to her Las Vegas residency which she has held since 2003. To date, her residency has generated more than half a billion dollars for Caesars Palace. She announced, "I hope to sing as long as I breathe. I have been singing all my life, since childhood, and I don't see myself retiring or not performing. It's what I love to do."

    14 Beyonce

In 2008, Beyonce attended the premiere of Cadillac Records, in which she took on the role of Etta James, and left fans quite shocked when she flashed her armpit hair on the red carpet. One attendee told Stuff Entertainment, "Beyonce always looks her best at these kind of events. She obviously either ran out of razors or just missed a bit in the bathroom."

Beyonce's plan all along was to shock fans but with her acting not her ungroomed style. She told the press, "I have been saying for a long time now that I wanted to do something dark. This was a scary and dark role. People are going to be very shocked. It is the complete opposite of me. It was emotionally draining." The film, which also co-stars Jamie Foxx, didn't do incredibly well at the box office, as it only grossed $8 million compared to it's $12 million budget.

    13 Kelly Rowland

Maybe Kelly Rowland was taking tips from her BFF Beyonce when she also stepped out on the red carpet before remembering to check herself in the mirror. As a regular judge on the British version of the X Factor, Kelly has been caught up numerous times before sporting unflattering body hair - does she ever shave or just can't find the time in her busy schedule?

The Commander singer told Glamour magazine that her grandmother's beauty secret was to keep everything as natural as possible. The former Destiny's Child band member revealed, "One thing that my grandmother told me is that you should feel sexy without anything on - no makeup, no anything/ And when I wake up in the morning and I can just take one good breath in my bed, I feel sexy. It's that simple."

    12 Lindsay Lohan

Natural redhead Lindsay Lohan often turns heads wherever she goes thanks to her displays of outrageous behavior over the past decade. But for once people stopped talking about her sobriety and instead turned their attention to her slim pins that appeared like they had not seen a razor in a long time. Perhaps the LA sun was to blame or the Mean Girls actress just didn't feel the need to keep up the personal grooming any longer.

Well ta least her pins are well-toned thanks to what she calls "erotic yoga." Lohan told Into The Gloss, "Everyone should try S Factor. It's almost like erotic yoga - all these women in a dark room doing really sexy movements. It's very sexual, and there are poles involved, but it's good for you and it builds confidence and makes you think differently about how you treat your body. And you sweat so much, it's so good. My body was the best it's ever been." We'll take your word for it.

    11 Irina Shayk

Sports Illustrated model Irina Shayk was captured leaving E! studios and she became another celebrity who had fallen victim to the LA sunshine magnifying her furry legs. The Russian-born beauty apparently didn't seem to notice as she balanced on a pair of Leopard print Louboutins whilst rocking a short vibrant red mini skirt.

Shayk, who previously dated soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, told The Telegraph, "I believe women have to love their bodies, and that it's all about confidence. When I do shoots, I say to myself, I love my body and I'm not afraid to show it. I hope every woman will feel special and be in love with her body, whatever her size." That's easy for a naturally stunning, 5ft 8" international supermodel to say.

    10 Tyra Banks

Tyra Banks is usually flawless but even she suffers from the dreaded female mustache. There's just always something about putting makeup on that just brings those evil dark hairs to the surface. The former America's Next Top Model judge and mentor is known for her fierce talks with the girls throughout the competition. Which does make us wonder what she would have said if one of the girls had turned up for a shoot sporting the same upper lip hair.

Tyra herself has struggled with her own self-esteem but she is happy now to embrace her full figure. She told People, "A size 16 can be the best shape for you, and you can be healthy. I have a friend who's a plus-size model, and she's a size 18. She is fierce, she can bench-press, she can run longer than me. She has not an ounce of cellulite. My butt looks like an orange peel."

    9 Mo'Nique

Precious movie star Mo'Nique went through a phase where her leg hair was out of control. In 2010, she was one of the biggest names during awards season after she scooped an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress and despite not needing the extra attention - she sure got it.

Finally, her husband managed to convince her that shaving would be better as her legs started to look patchy in places. Mo'Nique told Wendy Williams, "I didn't (care). And I still don't. But what happened was, as I got older, the hair began to fall out in different places. So one night, (my husband) and I were in the closet, and he said 'Mama, you're starting to have spots on your legs. It look(s) like you got the mang-y. So you got to do something about that. So I shaved them that night and been shaving them ever since." It's always those closest to us who know how to just come out and say what everyone else is thinking.

    8 Natalia Vodianova

When Russian-born model Natalia Vodianova attended the Bazaar Women of the Year awards in 2010, not even her flashy gold dress could distract the paparazzi from her unshaven legs. The model hit the big time during her rags-to-riches rise after she landed a seven-figure contract with Calvin Klein that year. She seemed unphased at the glitzy bash as she danced the night away on the dancefloor.

Nicknamed the "Supernova" she is one of the few models who is not impressed with the rise of Instagram models. She told Elle magazine, "Do you know when I first started modeling, we would take off for 10 days for a magazine photo shoot. Ten. Days. We could go on a trip for almost two weeks to shoot one fashion story. So there you go. You can make the conclusions yourself - you just did a shoot on your phone." Enough said - it takes ten days to photograph some clothes or it's just not good enough.

    7 Britney Spears

Britney Spears had a tough time between 2006-2008, she was going through a very public divorce battle with ex-backing dancer Kevin Federline, risked losing her two young sons to child protection services, her career was almost in the bin and the paparazzi stalked her everywhere to capture every event as it unfolded. So it's no wonder that personal grooming was very low on Spears' priority list.

Shockingly Time reported that during 2007, the 'Britney economy' made $120m for US paparazzi, lawyers, magazines, websites and TV shows who sold her heartbreaking story. Even LA politicians got involved as Dennis Zine told Time, "The Britney Spears case, with police cars and helicopters all becoming involved, was insane." He urged for new laws protecting celebrities in the future from such harassment but as some encourage the attention (-cough- Kardashians -cough-) and others avoid it, it's hard to decide where to draw the line.

    6 Juliette Lewis

Natural Born Killers actress Juliette Lewis told The Telegraph, "As I get older, everything is less. I wash my face, often with just water." However, as these pictures show - more and more appears to be her style if it's the subject of body hair we're talking about.

The actress, who previously dated Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp, cleaned herself up when she was invited on board Leonardo Di Caprio's private yacht during Cannes Film Festival in 2015. She appeared waxed to perfection as she flaunted her enviable figure in a blue bikini before enjoying a spot of sunbathing with the A-lister. The pair met in 1993 when they filmed What's Eating Gilbert Grape? and although they have never been romantically linked they have remained good friends ever since.

    5 Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys found herself in a hairy situation when she forgot to remove hair from her chest before she attended the Glamour awards ceremony in a plunging dress. According to the Women's Health Network, dark chest hair on women can occur following hormonal imbalances but it is not uncommon or anything to really worry about - which is probably why Keys looks so carefree all the time.

Most recently, the Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart singer has stopped wearing makeup altogether. The singer wrote a personal letter online explaining, "Every time I left the house, I would be worried if I didn't put on makeup: What if someone wanted a picture?? What if they POSTED it??? These were the insecure, superficial, but honest thoughts I was thinking. And all of it, one way or another, was based too much on what other people thought of me." So she decided not to bother at all - good on her.

    4 Julia Roberts

In 1999, Julia Roberts attended the premiere of her hit comedy movie Notting Hill when she decided to go just as nature had intended. The above picture was splashed across the front page of almost every newspaper and she was the focus point of the evening news for a few days. Never before had one woman's body hair caused such pandemonium, yet all she had to say on the matter was, "On a day-to-day basis I don't think about my armpits."

Overnight she became one of the most-talked actresses of the moment, which is something Roberts believes doesn't happen anymore. She told Vanity Fair, "The business is so different; you can never be that new girl that has that moment of 'Where'd she come from?' There's the express elevator and there's rehab. It's so awful; nobody gets a fair trial-and-error period that everybody deserves and everybody needs."

    3 Maggie Gyllenhaal

Maggie Gyllenhaal's personal stylist John Sahag is renowned for saying, "I'm not into making women look cute." If ditching the razor blades was his idea then the actress was clearly paying attention. The talented actress is quite often mentioned in the same sentence as her younger brother Jake Gyllenhaal who is often captured shirtless with unruly body hair too so it might just run in the family.

In this picture, the Secretary star was clearly caught off-guard, a part of being famous she loves and hates in equal measures. She told The Guardian, "There's something nice about being instantly recognized for what you do. But I don't feel comfortable with paparazzi intrusion in my everyday life. There's an antennae that goes up even if I can't see them - I just know they're there. My daughter finds it scary and upsetting."

    2 Miley Cyrus

Let's be honest, Miley Cyrus likes to make a statement and grab the attention of everyone around her - so what better way then to throw the razorblades out the window. She regularly appeared on stage with armpit hair and enjoyed a photoshoot with controversial photographer Terry Richardson, she shared the pictures on her Instagram with her caption: "Thank you for not retouching my body hair like SOME people."

Miley came out last year as pansexual. (Which in short means: not limited in sexual choice with regard to biological sex, gender, or gender identity.) She explained on her Instagram, "I'm very open about it - I'm pansexual. But I'm not in a relationship. I'm 22, I'm going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I'm with."

    1 Jessica Alba

There is nothing worse than the cameras catching something they were not meant to see and this throwback picture of Jessica Alba, with her jeans riding a little too low for comfort. The Fantastic Four actress has since left the big screen and now runs her own multi-million dollar company.

In 2011, the entrepreneur and mother-of-two Jessica Alba co-founded The Honest Company that sells non-toxic household goods including diapers and baby wipes. Four years later, the company was valued at $1.7 billion. She told Forbes magazine, "I've been able to own my power and take the position that I feel is rightfully mine and be the leader that I've always wanted to be. It took baby steps for me. You have to walk in with your end goal in mind and make sure you're relentless until you walk out of the room."
