15 Celebs And Their Non-Famous Twins

There are a few celebrities who have siblings that have also made it big in the entertainment industry. It's not that common, because quite frankly making it big in Hollywood is rare enough for one individual, let alone two from the same family. However, some siblings just both have a dream to be in show business, or both come from a fairly connected family that has exposed them to Hollywood from a young age, and manage to make it work. Every now and then they'll appear in one another's projects for a minor role, but on the whole, they have entirely separate careers. Twins, on the other hand, are a bit of a different story.

Since there are far fewer twins in the world than plain old siblings, many identical twins in particular end up crafting a career together - just think of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, or Cole and Dylan Sprouse, or any of the gorgeous older twins who make appearances in comedies aimed at teenage male audiences. Twins are kind of a big deal in Hollywood - which is why it's surprising to learn that many celebrities you see on screen time and time again are actually twins. The difference is, their twin isn't starring in television and movie roles like they are, or topping the charts with their hit songs - they're just living regular lives, sharing DNA with an A-Lister.

Here are 15 celebrities who have non-famous twins that you may not have even known about.

    15 Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson certainly has her fair share of male fans thanks to her gorgeous curves and stunning face - I mean, just look at her. However, women will be happy to know that the Johansson gene pool also created a male specimen just as gorgeous as Scarlett - her twin brother, Hunter. Like many twins, the two dipped their toes in the Hollywood pool while they were younger, appearing on screen together in the 1996 flick Manny & Lo. Unlike Scarlett, who went on to star in several more films throughout her younger years before officially making it onto the A-List when she was a bit older, Hunter's film career ended with the '90s flick. He went into politics instead, and was a campaign advisor for Barack Obama back in 2008. Brains and beauty? I mean, is there anything Hunter Johansson can't do?

    14 Vin Diesel

Vin Diesel is known for his roles in high octane action flicks, where he's doing things like speeding through the streets in pursuit of a bad guy. And, if he ever wants to get some perspective on how things are from the other side of the camera, all he has to do is chat with his twin brother, Paul. Vin's twin, Paul Vincent, works as a film editor, and is involved in the film industry in a behind the scenes way. He looks quite a bit different from Vin, and the public wouldn't recognize his name like they do Vin Diesel's, but still - it's pretty cool that both brothers ended up in the entertainment industry, in one way or another. Now, the only question is, does Paul tease Vin about how easy it must be to be in front of the camera instead of doing the gruelling work of editing things? And, vice versa?

    13 Ashton Kutcher

No, there isn't an Ashton Kutcher lookalike walking around in the midwest - but his twin connection is actually really, really touching. Kutcher has a fraternal twin by the name of Michael who struggled with a lot of health issues growing up - Michael has both cerebral palsy and cardiomyopathy, and when he was just a teenager had to undergo a heart transplant. That's a lot of tough issues to deal with at a very young age! Michael ended up inspiring his twin, and before he decided to try his hand at acting, Ashton was actually studying biochemical engineering in an attempt to find a cure for cardiomyopathy after seeing what his brother had gone through. That career path didn't work out, but now Ashton uses his considerable fame and fortune to create awareness for causes he believes in, such as being the spokesperson for an organization that advocates for children with cerebral palsy.

    12 Parker Posey

While she isn't in the spotlight quite as much as of late, back in the '90s, Parker Posey was basically the queen of quirky independent films. Sure, she was in some mainstream hits as well, but indie flicks were her main gigs. You would think that her twin would have the same kind of independent spirit, someone who went on a slightly less than traditional career path, right? Well, not quite. Her twin brother, Christopher, went about as far from the entertainment industry as you could get, career-wise - he became a lawyer. While Parker was starring in films and travelling to indie film fests and earning a cult following, her brother was rising in the legal ranks. He now works as a lawyer in Atlanta, Georgia. Who would have thought that two twins would go on such drastically different career paths? Their parents must have been proud of them both for their successes.

    11 Eva Green

French bombshell Eva Green burst onto the scene with a role in Casino Royale, and has since been snagging roles left and right in major blockbuster films (As well as a few moody indie dramas thrown in for good measure). Given how stylish and Parisian her whole vibe is, you would expect that her twin, if not involved in the entertainment industry, would be working in fashion or something glamorous like that. However, that couldn't be further from the truth. Her fraternal twin sister, Joy, spends her days raising horses in the countryside in Normandy with her husband. I know, I know - it sounds so idyllic it's practically painful! After spending so much time in the hectic atmosphere of movie sets, we imagine Eva might very well jet back to France to spend some time unwinding with her twin sister (and maybe going on a horseback ride or two).

    10 Gisele Bundchen

Yes, Gisele Bundchen has a twin sister - and no, she's not a supermodel in Brazil who just hasn't attained the same widespread success as Gisele. Bundchen's fraternal twin, Patricia, is gorgeous as well, and the two took modeling classes together when they were teens. However, while Gisele ended up pursuing modeling (and becoming arguably one of the most recognizable and highest paid supermodel out there), Patricia took on a more behind the scenes role. Nowadays, she works alongside her twin sister as Gisele's spokeswoman and manager, putting out statements to the press from the supermodel and dealing with her career. Considering she gets to travel around the world with Bundchen and live a life of relative luxury, without having to lounge around in swimwear all day, freezing on shoots, we think she has a pretty good gig. Plus, Gisele is bound to have some type of projects going on forever, even if she's retired from the catwalk, so you know Patricia will always stay busy.

    9 Rami Malek

Rami Malek has been making waves in Hollywood lately, taking on challenging roles, including the lead in the critically acclaimed Mr. Robot. His talent is evident, and we expect nothing but big things from the star in the future. However, did you know that he actually has an identical twin? His twin, Sami Malek, has absolutely nothing to do with the entertainment industry. While his brother is rolling up to television sets in Studio City, Sami is heading to homeroom - he works as a teacher in Los Angeles. He may very well be educating a new generation of starlets, but chats with his (slightly older) brother Rami are pretty much the extent of his involvement with Hollywood. Now, the only question is, does Sami bring in his famous twin to surprise his students every now and then? That would be a pretty cool thing to do, we're just saying.

    8 Jon Heder

Most people will likely recognize Jon Heder from his role in Napoleon Dynamite (as the title/lead character). Although he looks quite a bit different in real life, without the crazy glasses and curly hair, he's got a distinctive enough appearance that you can still tell it's him. Heder has gone on to snag roles in a variety of other projects, but it seems that he has a passion for being behind the scenes as well. You see, Heder has an identical twin named Dan, and Jon is taking on a bit of a side business from his acting career by starting up a production company with his twin brother. I mean, given that twins have a reputation for being able to communicate without words and being totally in sync with one another, it totally makes sense for them to end up working together. I mean, they just want to produce quality films, gosh!

    7 Alanis Morissette

This Canadian crooner won fans all around the world with hits like “Ironic,” and while she may not be as big now as she was during her Jagged Little Pill days, she still has a successful music career going. However, did you know that she's actually a twin? Morissette has a twin brother named Wade, who also has a love for music - he's in an indie rock band, although nowhere near as successful in that sphere as his twin sis. Wade primarily makes his money by working as a yoga instructor, and the two have even collaborated on projects in the past. Not to mention, when it came time to name her baby boy, Morissette decided to tip her hat to her twin by giving her boy the same middle name, Imre. With that kind of musical connection in his blood, we can't wait to see her baby boy Ever Imre all grown up - he's probably going to be a star!

    6 Joseph Fiennes

Joseph Fiennes, who fans of spooky television may recognize from American Horror Story, has a well known older brother who is also hugely successful in Hollywood, Ralph Fiennes. However, there are more than two boys in the Fiennes family - it turns out that Joseph has a twin brother named Jacob. Unlike his brothers Ralph and Joseph, Jacob really wasn't interested in the entertainment industry - while his twin was trying to get his big break in Hollywood, Jacob went down a completely different career path and pursued a career as a conservationist. We imagine he has totally different stories to share around the family dinner table than Joseph and Ralph's tales of life on set. In a funny twist of fate, both twins have now ended up working overseas a lot, but in completely different fields. What a pair of adventurers!

    5 Kiefer Sutherland

This is another case of one twin building a career in front of the camera while the other makes a living working in some capacity behind the scenes in the entertainment industry. You'll recognize Kiefer Sutherland from his various film roles, and his lead role on the show 24, but did you know he has a twin sister, Rachel? Kiefer (who is a few minutes older than his slightly younger twin sis) has become a celebrity thanks to his career path, while his sister works as a post-production supervisor, taking over on projects once the actors have done their job and things just need to be tidied up and edited and shined up a little. We bet they have totally different perspectives to offer one another based on which part of the whole process they're more familiar with.

    4 Aaron Carter

Most people will recognize Aaron Carter's older brother Nick, who shot to fame as a member of boy band the Backstreet Boys, but did you know that he also has a twin sister named Angel? Yep - Aaron and Angel. Mama Carter went for the alliteration when it came time to name her twins. While Angel had a taste of the entertainment industry when she starred alongside her family in a short-lived reality television show, she's primarily remained out of the spotlight, working as a model. And the two are closer than you might realize - when Angel walked down the aisle on her wedding day, it was Aaron, not her father, who walked alongside her. What a cute gesture! Say what you will about Aaron Carter and his slightly odd behaviour lately, but it's obvious that he really cares for his sister, and that's kind of adorable.

    3 Logan Marshall-Green

While his career has been heating up lately, many people will recognize Logan Marshall-Green best from his role on The O.C. as Ryan's bad boy older brother, Trey Atwood. And it turns out, there are two Trey Atwoods in real life - well, kind of. Logan has an identical twin by the name of Taylor. And though his good looks mean he could have easily gotten into the acting side of things just like his twin brother, Taylor Marshall-Green (who is a University of South Carolina alum and death metal fan, according to his social media profiles) decided to head behind the camera to work as a producer in the television world. Seriously - is it some kind of role that, for twins who get involved in the entertainment industry, one has to be behind the camera and one has to be in front of it? It's surprisingly common.

    2 Jill Hennessy

Canadian cutie Jill Hennessy is most recognizable from her role on Law and Order, playing Claire Kincaid. And, it turns out, she has an identical twin sister by the name of Jacqueline. Unlike her sister, who moved to the United States to pursue her acting career, Jacqueline opted to remain in their native Canada. The brainy twin got a doctorate in French Literature (impressive!) and then followed in her sister's footsteps by working as a television host. It requires a bit of a different skill set to host a show rather than to play a character, but it's clear that both of the Hennessy sisters are comfortable in front of the camera. After all, why wouldn't they be - they're utterly gorgeous! Honestly, we're surprised they didn't try to break into the industry together when they were younger; the gorgeous brunette identical twins could have been as big as Mary Kate and Ashley!

    1 Linda Hamilton

Linda Hamilton is best known for her role in the Terminator film franchise, playing the kind of character who kicks butt and takes names. She's also known as the woman who was married to James Cameron, which is a whole other discussion. However, did you know she can also add 'twin' to her list of unique traits? Linda has a twin sister by the name of Leslie. Leslie primarily makes her living by working as a nurse, which is pretty cool. That doesn't mean that she's not willing to help out her twin when the time comes, though - she doubled for Linda in the second Terminator film, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, because why on earth would you get a kind of lookalike when you can get your star's literal twin? It must have been fun to be in a scene with her sis and have it all captured on camera to remember forever!
