15 Former Disney Stars We Can't Stand

It feels like we've grown up with so many of the Disney Channel stars, but it's obvious that Disney completely corrupts their stars. It's true that they're family to us in a twisted way, and many of them have moved on from their childhood endeavours to pursue other Hollywood careers… but that doesn't mean we like the choices they're making. In fact, we hate how these stars have turned out! While some have always been intolerable, and are just as obnoxious as they were on Disney, some have totally disappointed us with the ways they've changed. Others have become the most two faced celebrity's there are, and are hated by the rest of the famous world. The bottom line is that there are an overwhelming amount of horrible celebrities that used to be on Disney, and many people hate them more than any other celebrity. Here are 15 former Disney stars that we can't stand, and you won't believe how terrible some of these stars are!

15 Demi Lovato

She's literally the shadiest celebrity of them all! If you initially thought she was a kind, down-to-earth celebrity that genuinely cared about everyone, you were totally wrong. Many people that went to high school with her have said that she was a bully, and she was apparently rarely teased herself. This means she completely lied about being a victim of bullying. Not only that, but she once called her fans fat, she punched one of her back-up dancers in the face, and she is constantly starting fights with other celebrities. She was a terrible friend to Selena Gomez, and she started a fight with Nicki Minaj because Nicki forgot to tag her in an Instagram photo. Literally, that was it! She's a mean girl and a drama queen, and it's actually terrifying how shady and fake this old Disney star is. She embodies why celebrities are totally the worst.

14 Bella Thorne

This ex Disney girl didn't even want to be one. She once said, "I didn't want to audition for Shake It Up. I literally said in my audition, 'I don't sing. I don't dance. I'm basically tone deaf, and I'm not funny. So I don't know why I'm here.' And everybody just started laughing. They thought it was a joke." Well, at least she's aware of why a lot of people aren't big fans of her! She began collecting haters when people thought that she cheated on her boyfriend Tyler Posey with Charlie Puth. She hasn't put a stop to the ire because she has dated bad boy Scott Disick, and no one can get over what a weird couple they make! Does Bella know what's good for her?! Well, it seems like she has pretty good judgment, because she left Scott and Cannes after she discovered what a crazy partier he is. But that doesn't necessarily mean that we like her!

13 Selena Gomez

While we really like Selena Gomez in general, there is one thing we can't stand: how shady she is. It overrides all the good about her! She claims to write her own songs, but she's credited along with many other co-writers, so it's unclear how many of the lyrics she has actually written. She's had a number of feuds with other celebrities that were super immature, like when she and Lorde got into a fight about feminism, and her on-again, off-again friendship with Taylor Swift. She also deleted all of her photos with Kylie and Kendall after she grew suspicious of them around Justin Bieber, which is super shady and totally not what a friend does. It's been a long time since she starred on Wizards of Waverly Place, and we can see how much she's changed. It's too bad, because she has her moments when she comes across as a truly genuine celebrity!

12 Britney Spears

It's easy to forget that the pop star was on The Mickey Mouse Club, but it was the beginning for one of the most famous women of all time. Britney is totally a queen and a goddess when it comes to music, but some of her behaviour is totally inexcusable. She goes through phases where she's the best… and other times, it seems like no one is as bad as her. Do we have to mention the time when she shaved all of her hair off because she had a meltdown?! She's always stirring up drama, especially with other celebrities. It also can't be denied that she uses auto tune, which is pretty shady when you think about her success. On top of that, all of her music has been pretty horrendous lately, so every time we see Britney, we're reminded of how much we can't stand her anymore. Maybe it's time for her to ride off into the sunset.

11 Hilary Duff

The actress and singer has said herself that the Lizzie McGuire years were torturous. Do you hate her BECAUSE of Lizzie McGuire… or did you love the show so much that you hate her for not wanting a Lizzie McGuire reunion? Not a lot of Disney stars have good things to say about their experiences, and maybe that's because it ends up ruining their careers. Besides starring in the show Younger, Hilary hasn't done much acting since her Disney days, although she has released some pop albums. The real reason we hate Hilary Duff, however, is because her husband bought her a $100,000 dollar Mercedes-Benz G-class SUV. Sure, we only hate her because we're jealous, but that doesn't make the loathing any less valid! This former Disney star just makes you mad looking at her face, and that's totally okay.

10 Tiffany Thornton

Watching her on the show So Random when we were kids left us were a permanent bad taste in our mouth. Everything was wrong about this show, and many people hail it as the worst Disney show to ever exist. As Tiffany was the star after the original show Sonny With A Chance finished, we got to see more of her than we ever would have wanted. While her obnoxious character on the Disney show might not be what she's truly like, it's her face that really frustrates us. She hasn't done anything since her role on Disney, and we're grateful. What's the biggest reason we totally hate Tiffany Thornton? She abducted her two young children from her late husband a couple years ago! That's totally despicable, and if you had a bad feeling while watching her on the Disney Channel, it was totally your intuition warning you that she isn't a good person. It's an understatement to say she's difficult to like.

9 Brenda Song

The most this actress has done since being on the Disney Channel was start a weird relationship with Trace Cyrus aka Miley Cyrus's brother. Her super dumb character on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody was annoying, and when your character is that obnoxious, it's difficult to shed that veil of disgust from the audience that watched you. Her reputation sunk dramatically, however, when pregnancy rumours began swirling less than a year after her and Trace started dating. In an interview, her mom said “She's actually not pregnant. It's very upsetting to our family because of what I'm going through (cancer treatments) and it's not how we raised her." Talk about a bad daughter! Less than a year later, they bought a house together, got engaged, and broke up. That cycle has continued even to this day, and shows no sign of ending. We definitely don't like this ex Disney star. 

8 Miley Cyrus

While her crazy phase seems to be dying down, that doesn't mean the former Hannah Montana star hasn't done permanent damage to her reputation. A lot of people can't stand her for very obvious reasons, and she's done it all to herself. According to reports, she parked in a handicapped parking space while buying milkshakes. Sure, it might seem like a quick trip, but how rude is that?! It proves how disrespectful and ignorant she can be. She clearly doesn't care about other people's feelings. She's also been caught making fun of Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, which totally came across as bullying and is just seriously uncool. There's no questioning how annoying Hannah Montana was, but Miley has taken a page from her book and become totally intolerable. She's lost a lot of fans with her erratic and insincere behaviour, and we're totally tired of her drama and desperate cries for attention.

7 Dove Cameron

She could win the award for most annoying voice, hands down. Her nasal singing is also painful, and her role on Liv & Maddie brought all of her bad qualities to light. She definitely doesn't have a lot of fans, and a lot of people seem to believe that she's fake and has no talent. While you can be the judge of her acting, many people have stated how gruesome she is to watch. Dove Cameron isn't even her real name: it's Chloe Celeste Hosterman. While her ex-fiance Ryan McCartan may be still hurting over a year after their break up, it won't be long before he realizes it's a total blessing. She is definitely not the worst of all the Disney stars, but the combination of her voice, frustrating acting, and the terrible characters she portrayed on her Disney show makes it easy for us to dislike her.

6 Christina Aguilera

If you didn't know that the singer was a former Disney star, you probably didn't tune into The Mickey Mouse Club. It's been over two decades since then, and she's more known for her music career for a very good reason. The problem is she's a very catty celebrity, which is why a lot of people aren't a fan! While you might love her music, you can't deny the fact that her vocal runs are super annoying, and she puts them in literally every song. Your opinions on her music might be subjective, but you have to be very biased to pretend her diva personality isn't difficult to like. Apparently, NBC didn't want her to return to The Voice because of her attitude, and we've seen how difficult she can be. That tension between her and Adam Levine wasn't fake, they truly didn't like each other. We're in the same boat as you, Adam, because we don't think we're a fan of the former Disney star either!

5 Ashley Tisdale

This Disney sweetheart isn't in our good books! She was difficult to watch in both The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and High School Musical. Trace Cyrus tweeted that Ashley Tisdale is literally the worst person he's ever met. That's quite a statement! Apparently she started a handful of rumours about Miley Cyrus' brother, and he thought it was best to retaliate on the social media platform. Many people are speculating it might have to do with Ashley and Perez Hilton's close relationship, since he's a sworn enemy of the Cyrus clan. Ashley is always creating drama, and we were so over her while she was still on the Disney Channel. The fact that she hasn't disappeared in to a oblivion is something we can't get over. We wonder which other celebrities will come out and announce their hatred for the star?

4 Lindsay Lohan

The Parent Trap feels like a million years ago now. Oprah doesn't like this girl… need we say more?! This celebrity has the habit of getting away with everything when she totally shouldn't. Anyone that drinks and drives is a terrible person because that is super dangerous. Lindsay got caught TWICE and police also found illegal substances on her. While she's been to rehab SIX times, she should be commended for getting help and not condemned for how many times she's had to go there. Still, it doesn't make up for what she did to get her in to rehab. She has been coddled because she's a celebrity and hasn't had to face reality, which is really frustrating for people that do have to face these problems like adults. She isn't a good person, plain and simple. It almost feels impossible to like her at this point!

3 Adam Lamberg

Gordo from Lizzie McGuire has definitely changed a lot. By that we mean he has literally dropped off the face of the planet! And we can't stand that. Google doesn't even know who he is. When you Google him, the search engine asks to change his last name Lamberg to Lambert. He's completely out of the public eye these days! He even ditched the Lizzie McGuire reunion, so literally every fan of that show has a bone to pick with him. Fans were so worried that they even launched a Twitter search for him! We hate him because he was so rude to his fans that he pretended he'd never existed, and that's a pretty cruel thing to do to a generation of people that grew up watching you. Adam, you'll never be forgiven for that, and you'll also probably never be famous ever again. We hold such a grudge against this former Disney star that we don't even care, we don't want to see him!

2 Joe Jonas

Between Camp Rock and Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream, we've seen enough of Joe. So has Dylan Sprouse, apparently, because when Joe talked about about how the pressure of Disney made him feel like he could never screw up, and it was pressure no teenager should be under, Dylan said it was his own doing. He said he and Cole set boundaries and said no to Disney whenever they needed to. He also said that Joe got caught up in the allure of fame. This is why we hate Joe! He's addicted to fame like so many other basic celebrities. His talent has never been great, and based on this interview alone, he's obviously a lying drama queen… well, at least that's what it sounds like Dylan is implying here. We're so over you Joe, and so is the rest of the world. It's hard not to feel like he was just a one hit wonder!

1 Ariana Grande

How she got even more famous after Victorious and Sam & Cat is confusing, especially considering how desperate she came across when trying to shed her good girl label. Since then, she's been pretty shady, which has made her one of the most disliked celebrities ever. It seems like her co-stars on the Disney Channel loathed her and no one enjoyed working with her. She's been incredibly rude to fans as well. She has given photographers long lists of ridiculous demands when taking pictures of her and she refused to be photographed in natural light or from her right side. This icy diva is probably the most stuck up snob in the entire industry, and the world is beginning to see her for her true colours. It's understandable if you can't stand this former Disney starlet. While she tries to play off her behaviour, she keeps getting caught in lies, and it's making her look even worse!
