15 Hottest Guys On HBO RIGHT NOW
Thanks, HBO. Thank you for producing some amazing content. Seriously, some of our favorite shows are on HBO. Thank you for showing full nudity. Thank you for letting your characters swear. And thank you for making shows that are slightly longer than your typical 20 or 40 minute show. But most of all, we want to thank you for all of the man candy you have provided. For years you have given a platform to some of the yummiest men on TV. But no one really talks about it. Sure, everyone knows that if you want a young hot man, you watch the CW. But HBO is not known for that. HBO is known for great programming. Which is true! But it should also get some kudos for the bevy of hot male actors who grace their screens. And the best part? All of these men are super talented actors! They're not just good to look at, they're also enjoyable to have on screen. We love when we can have our cake and eat it too! Here are 15 of the hottest men who are currently on HBO. So, unfortunately, we couldn't include people who got killed off Game of Thrones last season or your favorite Sex and The City man.
15 Kit Harington
Kit Harington is better known as Jon Snow on HBO's famous Game of Thrones. But what else do we need to know about Kit? Well to start off, his name is actually Christopher. We guess Kit is just a nickname. Kit also comes from a bit of a regal bloodline. His father, Sir David Richard Harington, is 15th Baronet. His family even has an official coat of arms! How cool is that? It's like Kit was meant to play a pseudo-prince on Game of Thrones. Kit first broke into acting as a young guy in school. He attended a drama school and won a role in the National Theatre's production of "War Horse." That got Kit on the map. Shortly after that, he won his most well-known role as Jon Snow in Game of Thrones in 2011. He's done a couple films as well when he gets a break from GoT. Including providing the voice for a character in How to Train Your Dragon 2! How nice that Kit likes to mix it up and do a kids' animated movie when he's not slaying white walkers on the wall.
14 James Marsden
We love us some James Marsden! This cutie has been in movies for a while now and has a voice like gold. His latest venture for HBO is starring as Teddy Flood in WestWorld. But he's probably best known for his character of Cyclops in the X-Men films. But James has also fit in some rom-coms and musicals like 27 Dresses and Hairspray. James can do it all! From romance and comedy to action and thriller. Plus, he's super good looking. James has three children, Jack and Mary with his ex-wife Lisa, and William with his former girlfriend Rose. James has been on and off dating British singer, Edei, for the last year. In other fun news, James' dad is the head of food safety at Chipotle. James has an in at Chipotle! Do you think he gets to eat there for free? And if he doesn't get free food, does he at least get his guac for free?
13 Sam Richardson
Sam Richardson is the very yummy Richard Splett on HBO's Veep. Sam started as just a guest star on Veep in season three back in 2014 but got upgraded to a regular series cast member in the next season. Because the people wanted more of Sam Richardson! Sam is originally from Detroit but spent a lot of his childhood in Ghana. His mother is Ghanaian and would take the family back to Ghana once or twice a year. His grandfather was a chief and local politician in Ghana. Back in Detroit, Sam took drama classes at Wayne State University and would try out his comedic chops at the local Second City comedy bar. Sam moved out to LA and began to guest star on funny shows like The Office and New Girl before landing his gig on Veep. Sam is also moving into the production side. He and comedian Tim Robinson have created a show, Detroiters, for Comedy Central. They wrote the script, executive produce the series, and star as the main characters.
12 Thomas Middleditch
Thomas Middleditch plays the very handsome Richard Hendricks in Silicon Valley. He has been in the role since 2014 and did such a good job that he received an Emmy nomination last year. What else do you need to know about Thomas? Well, he's Canadian. So he can hang out with other Canadian hotties like Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Gosling. Thomas discovered acting in the eighth grade and used it to become his school's funnyman and even Valedictorian. For college, he bounced around a little bit. He went to the University of Victoria for a bit before moving to Toronto where he enrolled in a local college but never attended classes. From there, he moved to Chicago and began performing at The Second City and iO Theater. He eventually went on to audition for Saturday Night Live. And even though he was never cast on SNL, he did move to New York and begin getting more acting jobs. And seven years after his first McDonald's commercial, Thomas landed his role on Silicon Valley.
11 Adam Driver
You may know Adam Driver as the big villain, Kylo Ren, of the latest Star Wars series. But you should also remember him as Adam Sackler on Girls. Turns out there is a lot more to this HBO hunk than starring in a great movie franchise and hit TV show. Did you know Adam was in the army? He served with the Marine Corps for almost three years before getting medically discharged when he broke his sternum during a mountain biking adventure. From there, Adam decided to head to school and eventually wound up at the elite Julliard School. It was there that he studied drama and met his future wife. So sadly, this yummy guy is taken. But isn't it kind of sweet to know that he met his wife back in college? Adam has really made the most of his time in Hollywood. When he's not busy playing Hannah's lame boyfriend on Girls, he is starring in tons of critically acclaimed movies like Inside Llewyn Davis, Lincoln and Silence.
10 Peter Dinklage
We don't care how tall he is - Peter Dinklage is a hottie! And his character, Tyrion, on Game of Thrones has got to be one of our favorites. We love his confidence, his wisdom, his jokes and that long hair/beard combo is really working for him. It seems the network agrees. This year, it was announced that Peter would be one of the highest paid TV actors of all time earning $1.1 million for every episode of Game of Thrones. That's insane! He's not even in that many scenes. But we guess he's worth it. And he has won a Golden Globe and two Emmy awards for his work as Tyrion Lannister. Peter and his wife Erica have been married for 12 years, which is an eternity in Hollywood. They have a daughter together, who is six years old. But her name has never been revealed publically! They're doing a great job of staying out of the spotlight if we don't even know their daughter's name.
9 Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
Nikolaj plays the brother of Peter Dinklage's Tyrion, Jaime Lannister, on Game of Thrones. And like his brother, Nikolaj is also making $1.1 million per episode. If you're ever looking for somewhere to spend that money Nik, we can think of a few good causes. Before finding fame in Hollywood, Nikolaj was a well-known actor in his native Denmark. He studied at a prestigious acting school, performed live theater and became a household name after starring in a number of Danish and European movies. His first foray into US films was a role in Black Hawk Down. He actually got the role by sending in an audition tape that he shot in the attic of his Copenhagen apartment. From there, Nik got roles in a number of other US movies and TV shows before landing his current Game of Thrones gig in 2011. Nik has been married since 1998 and lives in a suburb of Copenhagen with his wife, two daughters, and two dogs. His eldest daughter had a role in a Danish short film so maybe she has inherited her dad's acting skills.
8 Reid Scott
Reid Scott plays the role of Deputy Director of Communications, Dan Egan, on HBO's Veep. And boy do we love seeing his handsome face around the White House. Before landing his current role with HBO, Reid appeared on a number of other TV shows such as The Secret Life of the American Teenager, The Big C, and Bones. But he first got his start in Hollywood back in 2002, shortly after he moved to New York to pursue acting full-time. After landing the lead role in a pilot, Reid remembers this about his first paycheck, "I remember thinking that the money from the pilot was a fortune. It wasn't. After renting a car to get around L.A., paying off some debt and maybe buying a new pair of shoes, I was broke. I had to borrow money from my father just to join SAG." We're sure the seasoned Hollywood hottie is much better with his money now and making a lot more of it on a hit HBO show.
7 TJ Miller
Funny man TJ Miller currently stars as Erlich Bachman on HBO's Silicon Valley. But when he is not on HBO, TJ or Todd Joseph is definitely keeping busy with a full Hollywood career. He recently appeared in such big hits as Deadpool, Big Hero 6, How to Train Your Dragon, and Transformers: Age of Extinction. And then there is his comedy work: TJ has done stand-up comedy on Conan and Chelsea Lately, he hosted his own stand-up special on Comedy Central and he released a comedy rap concept album. In 2011, TJ revealed that he had to undergo brain surgery for a cerebral arteriovenous malformation on his right frontal lobe. Luckily, everything went well and the surgery was a success. Less of a success? That time last fall when TJ got arrested for assaulting his Uber driver. Apparently, the driver was a Trump supporter and things got heated. Wow, terrible!
6 Jake Lacy
Jake Lacy played Fran Parker on HBO's Girls. His character, Fran, works at the same school as lead character Hannah and becomes her boyfriend, though their relationship is far from ideal. But Jake's Hollywood career is looking pretty ideal. Besides this spot on Girls, he has also appeared on The Office and Better With You. He nabbed his role in Better With You while working odd jobs in New York such as bar back at a nightclub, gym receptionist, and waiter. Was every actor a waiter at one point in their lives? It seems like it. But it looks like it has worked out for Jake. In addition to his TV work, Jake has appeared in a number of films like Miss Sloane and Carol with Rooney Mara. This year, Jake is headed back to television but not with HBO. He's joining Showtime's new hit comedy, I'm Dying Up Here, produced by comedy legend Jim Carrey.
5 Christopher Abbott
Christopher Abbott starred as Charlie Dattolo in HBO's Girls from 2012-2013 and then came back again to reprise his role in 2016. But Christopher has been involved in tons of television, movie, and theater projects since he broke onto the scene in 2008. His first roles were in off-Broadway plays in New York where he received great reviews. From there, Chris took his first movie role in 2011's Martha Marcy May Marlene opposite Elizabeth Olsen. But Chris wasn't about to leave theater behind. In the same year that Martha Marcy May Marlene came out, Chris performed in a Broadway show with Ben Stiller and Edie Falco. Since then, Chris has been involved in a number of movies such as Hello I Must Be Going, The Sleepwalker and James White. He has also kept up his theater productions and television roles. In 2017, he'll star in the TV show The Sinner and three films.
4 Rodrigo Santoro
Rodrigo Santoro plays Hector Eschaton on HBO's Westworld. But even if you don't watch Westworld, Rodrigo should be a familiar face. He was Paulo on Lost, Xerxes in 300, Jesus in Ben-Hur and, our favorite, hottie Karl from Love Actually. Remember the guy Laura Linney's character has a crush on and who ends up topless in her bed? That's Rodrigo! And we certainly would not want to kick him out of our bed. Rodrigo began his career appearing in telenovelas in his native Brazil in the 90's. From there he began doing films and breaking into mainstream Hollywood with a role in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. And since then Rodrigo has kept busy! The list of movies and TV shows, both in Hollywood and abroad, that he has worked on is extensive. And he's been working in the business since 1993, beginning his acting career at the age of 18. And Rodrigo isn't showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon.
3 Jacob Anderson
If you're a fan of Game of Thrones, you'll know Jacob Anderson as Grey Worm, Captain of the Unsullied and right-hand man to Emilia Clarke's character. But did you know he also has a successful rap music career? It's hard to picture our favorite smoldering soldier getting down and dirty with some raps, but it's true. Jacob, or Raleigh Ritchie, as he is known in the music scene has been releasing music since 2006. He got signed to Columbia Records in 2013 and released two EPs before releasing his debut album, You're A Man Now, Boy, in 2016. When he's not making music or appearing on Game of Thrones, Jacob is busy working on other TV shows. He appeared on Episodes with Matt LeBlanc, on Broadchurch, and on The Mimic. He has also worked on some feature films and appeared in plays in London. So basically, Jacob is crazy talented in every way possible.
2 Ben Barnes
Ben Barnes stars as Logan in HBO's Westworld. But his face should be very familiar as he's been in lots of other major movies and TV shows. Ben was born in London and studied drama and English literature at Kingston University. Ben first started out in musical theater in London and even was part of a boy band for the Eurovision Song Contest. Ben received the role he is most well known for when he was cast as Caspian in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and again in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of The Dawn Treader. He has also appeared in movies such as Dorian Gray and The Big Wedding. Ben's role on Westworld was originally given to Eion Bailey, a familiar face on Once Upon A Time. Eion had to leave the show due to a scheduling conflict with Once Upon A Time. Luckily, Ben was ready and able to take his place. Ben has also been announced as a star in the new Netflix series, The Punisher.
1 Kumail Nanjiani
Not only is Kumail Nanjiani hilarious as Dinesh Chugtai on Silicon Valley, but he is one of the busiest guys in Hollywood. He's been playing Dinesh since 2014. But was one show enough for him? Of course not! While working on Silicon Valley, Kumail has appeared in over 15 other TV shows and over 15 movies. In fact, he had five movies come out just in 2016. But that's not all, Kumail also provides voice acting for video games and hosts two popular podcasts, The Indoor Kids and The X-Files Files. How is this guy doing it all and hitting us with a sexy smirk? Kumail likes to expand his horizons beyond just a scripted show on HBO. He hosts a show on Comedy Central with Jonah Ray, The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail. He also voices the character Prismo on Adventure Time. Oh and in case you think he's just an actor, Kumail graduated with a double major in Computer Science and Philosophy, so he's a brainiac too. What can't this guy do?
