15 Potential Celebs Brad Pitt Will Date Next

After 12 years together, including two years of marriage and six children, Angelina Jolie announced last week that she has started proceedings to divorce Brad Pitt. Although the news is heartbreaking for their family, there is one thing secretly on everyone's mind - Brad Pitt is finally single again!

Brangelina reigned as Hollywood's ultimate super couple for over a decade and their breakup has now become a tabloid machine. Currently Pitt is being tied into all kinds of scandals - there have been accusations of cheating, rumours of bad parenting and even mentions of an underlying drug addiction. His PR team will certainly be working overtime to try and get their leading man some positive press for a change. We all know there is no better way in showbiz to make headlines other than hooking up with another celebrity - but who will Pitt choose next?

Jennifer Aniston moved on years ago (not that she would ever take him back after he so shamelessly and publicly cheated on her) so Pitt is going to have to look for someone fresh to fall madly in love with. Also considering his next bae will be filling the shoes of Angelina Jolie, who is considered to be one of the most beautiful and talented women in the world, the quest to win his heart is not for the shy and retiring. So here we have put together a list of the potential ladies Pitt could have lined up next and we're all too excited to find out which one he will choose.

15 Marion Cotillard 

When news exploded that Angelina Jolie had hired her own private investigator to check up on Brad Pitt and his co-star Marion Cotillard whilst the pair were shooting upcoming World War II drama Allied - many believed history was repeating itself and Pitt was having another affair.

Despite the fact Cotillard has been married to her director husband Guillaume Canet since 2007, and the pair have a child together, the rumors were everywhere. Canet publically stated, "The fury of the tabloids, the venal stupidity of some people calling themselves journalists, the internet trolls who feel braver behind a keyboard, drive me to speak of the pride, love, respect and admiration I have for Marion staying strong and intelligent in the face all these stupid and unfounded accusations."

Cotillard also denied any romance with the actor and wished via her Instagram that the Jolie-Pitts will "find peace in this very tumultuous moment." Although in 2004, when Pitt first began his affair with Jolie, this was strongly denied too - so maybe (just like before) the media have been right all along.

14 Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is another name swept up into the whirlwind that is the Jolie-Pitt divorce. It all started at this year's Golden Globe awards when the singer announced to Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet, "I'm not going to lie. It's nice to look at all of the hot guys I admire. I'm trying to find Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt right now!"

Later in the evening, she posted a snap on Instagram of the pair looking comfortably close with the caption: "Just discussing The Big Short" - that was the movie Pitt starred in last year and Gomez had a small cameo role. According to Radar Online, "Angie blew a gasket when she saw Selena's Instagram, and heard through friends about how Brad and Selena flirted so shamelessly. Now Selena is bragging to everyone that Brad is gung ho to make another movie with her." Their insider also added, "Selena is going around jokingly calling Brad 'my future husband,' and Angie is obviously none too pleased. Angie warned Brad to cut all ties with Selena, and she's forbidding him from working with her again."

Despite the 28-year age gap between the two, things could work out if they were to become an item.

13  Taylor Swift  

Taylor Swift has already made her feelings for Brad Pitt well known when she penned the track, Till Brad Pitt Comes Along. She sings, "It would take Brad Pitt to leave you. I wish that pretty girls couldn't see you. I wish that all your roads would lead you right to me. 'Cause that's where you belong. Until Brad Pitt comes along."

After Swift's two high profile splits this year from DJ Calvin Harris and actor Tom Hiddleston - perhaps Brad Pitt is an ideal shoulder to cry on? Also this budding romance will work out perfect for Swift's endless publicity train. Her previous lovers haven't always had the best time adjusting to the spotlight her fame brings but a global superstar like Brad Pitt is a pro. An insider told The New York Post, "She comes across as if she has a breezy, down-home personality, but she isn't. Everything she does is calculated, and that carries over into her relationships too." Could Pitt-Swift be a new thing?

12 Tilda Swinton 

Brad Pitt and Tilda Swinton have already starred together in the Coen brother's Burn After Reading. They also tend to stick together around award season, always photographed either on the red carpet side-by-side or chuckling away during the ceremony. Let's just say they get along not only with each other but also with mutual best buddy, George Clooney.

Away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood life, Swinton lives with her with her twins and partner Sandro Kopp, a German-New Zealand painter in the Highlands of Scotland. Pitt also enjoys the countryside, since he fell in love with his 1000-acre home Chateau-Miraval, set in the South of France, that he renovated for his children - although this may have to be sold as his divorce battle continues. The likelihood of these two dating is slim but witnessing how content they are in each other's company is enough to give us hope.

11 Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock has never been very lucky in love and if Brad doesn't want to jump back into marriage then she's the one for him. When People magazine asked her if she would ever married again, Bullock replied, "I don't think so, but I can see myself in a committed, safe relationship where there is lots of love and laughter, and 'making memories' is No. 1 on the to-do list."

Also much like Brad, she has her own adopted family members - she adopted a son and daughter shortly after her divorce from cheating husband, Jesse James. Bullock also told People, "I have no idea what a 'traditional family' looks like anymore. If a traditional home is one that is filled with lots of love and poop jokes, no sleep, schedule books filled with more kids' social events than adults' and lots of yelling over who touched who first… then I have a very traditional family. My family is blended and diverse, nutty, and loving and understanding. That's a family."

Here's hoping mutual friend George Clooney, who starred alongside Bullock in Gravity, will be able to introduce the pair.

10 Chelsea Marr 

When Brad Pitt starts to find himself missing Angelina Jolie being by his side, then he should hook up with her very own doppeldanger, 24-year-old Chelsea Marr. The Scottish born recruitment manager became an internet sensation overnight after posting snaps to her Instagram appearing almost identical to the Tomb Raider star. Her followers jumped from 20,000 followers to 100,000 shortly after the Daily Mail published an article about her striking looks last year.

Although Marr has been offered modelling work she has turned this down. Marr told the Daily Mail, "I am extremely flattered to be compared to the amazing Angelina Jolie. Trust me you don't want me modelling for your shows, I am 5ft 2in, I will end up tripping up and ruining your dresses." Although Angelina's beauty is all natural, Marr admits she has had lip fillers, an operation on her nose after it was broken, and breast augmentation to enhance her assets by two cup sizes.

9 Lana Del Rey 

In 2011, Brad Pitt revealed his favourite British soccer team is Liverpool FC and to back this up he has been spotted before at a few Merseyside home games. During the promotional tour for his movie Moneyball he revealed, "I have some friends who are very close to Liverpool, so if I went another way I might be disowned." His whole family then followed suit and fell in love with the team too.

So who can Pitt now take to future games? Surprisingly, New York-born singer Lana Del Rey is also a huge Liverpool FC fan and she too has been photographed at many of their games. She told the Daily Mail, "I was introduced to Liverpool FC by my manager, Ben, whose mood is dependent on the Liverpool results." She also gushed, "The people in Liverpool are so friendly and the stadium's really impressive." Perhaps these two will potentially cross paths at a future game and it could be a match made in heaven?

8 Olivia Munn

One of the rumoured reasons behind the split with Angelina Jolie was that the pair had very different views on parenting. TMZ reported, "Sources connected with the couple tell us Angelina's decision to file has to do with the way Brad was parenting the children. She was extremely upset with his methods. Her decision was solely over Brad's interaction with their children."

Pitt was born and raised in Oklahoma; he described his childhood town as "Jesse James country", having grown up with "a lot of hills, a lot of lakes". Whereas, Jolie grew up in Los Angeles, California, where she was constantly aware of the spotlight thanks to her two famous parents. The pair couldn't be more worlds apart - country life and city life.

If Pitt is seeking a country girl, he could fall for X-Men: Apocalypse actress Oliva Munn - the 36-year-old is also from Oklahoma. Although this could spell a messy romance as Munn has previously been romantically linked to Justin Theroux, even causing a brief split between him and now-wife Jennifer Aniston. Yeah, maybe this one is far too messy…

7 Lupita Nyong'o

Brad Pitt has never been shy about his admiration for 12 Years A Slave and Star Wars: A Force Awakens star, Lupita Nyong'o. After she scooped the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress at the Producer's Guild Awards in Beverly Hills, Pitt said, "She's very special. Very special young lady. We're going to see great things from her." They were then practically inseparable all night as they partied away in the decadent ballroom.

The morning after a source told The National Enquirer, "If you didn't know better, you would have thought Brad and Lupita were girlfriend and boyfriend. He is so smitten with Lupita that he's already negotiating to line her up in another film that they can both star in together. He told her that he wants her to be his next leading lady."

Pitt is also teaming up with Nyong'o to film an adaption of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's novel, Americanah. Pitt's production company Plan B will produce with Nyong'o starring. All we're saying is - watch this space!

6 April Florio 

We all know that Brad Pitt isn't the most… well - faithful - man in the world. In 2003, before Angelina Jolie was even on the scene, Brad allegedly cheated on his then-wife Jennifer Aniston with model, April Florio. During a three-day holiday to Greece, Florio told US Weekly that he kissed her and opened up about his marriage problems with the Friends star.

Since his split with Jolie, Florio's name has been thrown back into the mix and she's been accused of tempting the actor once again. Florio has strongly denied this as she told Mirror Celeb online, "I literally went on the air to set the record straight. Well, I thought I did. I never expected to be in the middle of (their divorce). I am saddened at the end of anyone's partnership."

Well there must be something Brad finds attractive about the model but maybe this time round he could try hitting on her now he's actually single.

5 Kate Hudson 

Another reason behind Pitt's most recent divorce was that he couldn't let go of his love for Hollywood. The Washington Post reported that a close source said, “The older (Angelina Jolie) gets, the more serious she becomes, and she is sick of the Hollywood thing. He wants to make movies. She doesn't. It's a fundamental difference. It's how you live your life."

One candidate suited for the role of The Next Mrs Pitt could be none other than Hollywood royalty, Kate Hudson. The actress grew up surrounded by fame as her mother is actress Goldie Hawn and her father is actor Bill Hudson. Her mother also remarried to A-Lister Kurt Russell. Pitt has also previously commented that Jolie can't cook, but Hudson is a surprise dab hand in the kitchen. She told People, "I like cooking, I like presenting. I like it to be an experience. I'll be like, 'Look, I'm placing a meal out for you like a king!"

Hudson and Pitt have rubbed shoulders at many parties together but so far they haven't quite acquired that spark. Now both parties are single we could really see this one working out.

4 Charlize Theron

Brad Pitt already has one major thing in common with Charlize Theron - they both are no longer in Angelina Jolie's good books. Jolie allegedly loathes Theron following the time the two leading ladies would often be forced to go head-to-head over the same roles because even A-listers have to fight for the spotlight sometimes.

Gossip Cop labelled the feud a "Hollywood Turf War" and they reported, "Charlize wants to be the most powerful leading lady, and Angie, who's been focused on directing, is threatened." Another source told OK! Magazine, "They complain about each other to the same groups of people. It's so uncomfortable."

If the pair did start dating this might make things a little awkward between Pitt and Sean Penn - who was dating the South African beauty up until she ghosted him earlier this year. However, bro-code aside - this really is a match made in Hollywood heaven.

3 Jennifer Lawrence 

Jennifer Lawrence has already revealed her true feelings for Brad Pitt and let's just say she always gives the sweetest compliments. The Hunger Games actress told Today, "Brad Pitt smells amazing, like nothing I've ever smelled. Eventually we ask what cologne he's wearing and he tells us, 'I don't wear cologne, it's just my musk I guess.' I have to choose not to believe him because it would just be unfair to mankind."

Out of respect for Angelina (or probably to wake herself up from the daydream, she quickly added, "Angelina is gorgeous and elegant and they are like The Sun and The Moon." Lawrence has previously dated British stars - actor Nicholas Hoult and (very briefly) Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin. Lately though there has been little romance on the cards for Lawrence, when People magazine asked her about her dating life she replied, "What dating life?" Perhaps it's going to take someone like Brad Pitt to sweep her off those dizzy feet again?

2 Diane Kruger 

Brad Pitt and Diane Kruger starred together in Inglorious Bas***ds and although they had previously both appeared in Troy but this time round they managed to grab some screen time together.

Kruger could not stop herself from gushing about her co-star as she told Parade magazine, "We had worked together on Troy, but we didn't have any scenes together. So it was fun to finally get to be on camera with him. Brad is a combination of menacing and incredibly funny. I loved Brad's over-the-top Southern accent. It's sort of a battle of the accents between my German and his Southern, so there was some laughing between takes." All right we get it - you like the guy.

The pair displayed their very noticeable chemistry during the promotional tour for the movie - maybe Kruger kept hold of Pitt's number and check if he has any free time to reminisce their scenes together?

1 Gwyneth Paltrow 

Will this be the year Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow will rekindle their romance? In 1994, the stars starting dating when they were both in their early twenties and three years later they were engaged. However, the wedding was called off as Paltrow confessed she wasn't ready for marriage because she was "such a mess" and Pitt was "the one that got away." She told Vanity Fair magazine, "I was 22 when we met… I wasn't ready, and he was too good for me… I didn't know what I was doing."

Now they have both had time apart and experience other relationships, as well as having children, maybe now is the time to remember why they adored each other so much when they first met? Even The National Enquirer reported that Pitt had called out Gwyneth's name in his sleep - fuelling Angelina's desire to divorce him even more. This is certainly one Hollywood power couple big enough to fill the Jolie-Pitt void that has now been left open.
