It's crazy to think about how totally alike the Kardashian sisters are. From similar taste in men to identical fashion senses from common career pursuits, it's easy to tell that the girls come from the same cloth. And that's why it's easy to forget that each of the sisters is her own unique person with individual tastes and preferences. If you think about it, Kendall Jenner is a lot different from her sisters in many ways. She doesn't appear to enjoy the fame and popularity to the same extent, and she has even taken steps to distance herself from her famous last name. She even goes by only her first name for modeling gigs and takes it slow with social media. Sometimes it's easy to forget that Kendall is actually part of the Kardashian Klan with how different she acts. Here are 15 times Kendall didn't seem very Kardashian-like, and we love her all the more for not compromising who she is!

15 She Never Puts Her Love Life On Camera

If you haven't noticed, Kendall has yet to feature a boyfriend on her family's reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. All of her older sisters have famously had their relationships followed on the hit show, including Kim's marriages to Kanye and Kris Humphries, and Kourtney's tumultuous time with Scott Disick. Even Kylie has had her longtime love, Tyga, featured on the show several times. Kendall has never been very public about her love life, whether on TV, social media, when being interviewed in print or online publications or elsewhere. She has been linked to a variety of eligible celebrity bachelors, including One Direction's Harry Styles and even Justin Bieber. If anything is for sure, it's that once she does reveal a beau to the world, you can be confident that means it's a pretty serious relationship. Hopefully, we get an Instagram or two in the future of her love interests.

14 She Has A Different Body Type

While Kendall shares some of the same traits as her famous sisters, she has always looked totally different from them. Kendall has the same defined jaw and cheekbones, long dark hair, and dark eyes as her sisters. But she has always had a slimmer frame. While Kim Kardashians and the others have beautiful curves in all the right places, Kendall has always had a trim, athletic shape, which helps make her such an excellent model. We're sure Kendall still has to work out to maintain her impressive figure, but she's definitely genetically blessed when it comes to her slender build. While her sisters are worrying about how good their curvaceous chests or bottoms look, Kendall is rocking up a storm on the red carpet. The fact that Kendall looks so different from the rest of her famous family sometimes makes us forget that she's actually part of the Kardashian Klan, too!

13 She Has A Professional Modeling Career

Unlike most members of her family, Kendall actually has a real, professional career that can carry her well into adulthood. Most of her siblings have side pursuits that are definitely financially successful, such as Khloe, Kourtney, and Kim's makeup and clothing lines, Kim's modeling gigs, and Rob's sock line. But none of these projects require a full-time commitment. Kendall's modeling career, on the other hand, does consume her life 24/7. She has had to make sacrifices to put her career first and has had to work to get to where she is (though family connections probably helped a bit). Of her first major runway show in 2014, the model said, “Marc [Jacobs] invited my whole family to that first show, and I was like, 'I love you guys, but can you please just not come? I was trying so hard to be taken seriously, like, 'Guys: This is not a joke or a stunt; this is what I want to do with my life.' I had to prove that I could do it… And now I feel like I'm a part of something. I feel I have accomplished something that is mine."

12 She Doesn't Go Crazy With Social Media

Like all the Kardashian members, Kendall definitely has a strong presence on social media. But she has a very different approach when it comes to social media than her family. For one thing, she doesn't over-share or over-post. She may share an Instagram photo every few days, but she doesn't spam anyone's feeds with too many pictures at once. And the Internet is happy about that! She also stays a lot more private online than her sisters. She often posts things related to her modeling career, such as pictures from photo shoots or a runway show. Likewise, she posts pictures from special events or in honor of a loved one. She tends to maintain a professional image rather than divulging the public with snippets into her personal life. You can tell she doesn't put as much thought or care into what she posts, and it totally works to her benefit.

11 She's Never Drastically Changed Her Appearance

Kendall has always maintained a very au naturel look, both when it comes to her beauty routine and fashion sense. Many of the Kardashian girls have admitted to getting cosmetic enhancement done. Kim and Khloe have been rumored to have gotten everything from their chests to butt implants, and have both gone on extreme diets in the past that drastically changed their bodies. Kourtney has admitted to breast implants, and it took Kylie a long time to admit to having lip fillers. It seems like Kendall is the only remaining sister who has not had any work done. She has spoken about how she loves her slim frame and does not envy her sisters' curves. She often sports natural makeup when not on the job and a relaxed, carefree sense of style. We love that she doesn't feel the need to look a certain way because natural Kendall is absolutely stunning.

10 She Dresses More Casually

Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe always seem like they are dressed to go to a red carpet event. Even if they are on an obviously casual outing, the Kardashian ladies frequently rock killer heels and fancy dresses. Kim especially is always in head-to-toe designer outfits, regardless if she is just out with her kids or not. Even Kylie Jenner is dressing fancier these days than she has in the past, proving she is a blossoming fashionista in her own right. But Kendall has always been more relaxed when it comes to fashion. She is of course incredibly stylish, but she does it without needing tons of accessories or flashy dresses. She prefers the athletic-chic trend, often opting for Nikes or converse, denim or track pants, and cropped sweatshirts. She makes sweatshirts look chic, and gives us major fashion inspiration on days when we want a relaxed vibe, too.

9 She's Never Had A Fam Intervention

As documented on the show, the Kardashian family is not afraid to sit down with a family member when they think it is time for some tough love. They have had various talks with Kim about her dating life throughout the years, and they also did the same when Kourtney and Scott, as well as Khloe and Lamar's relationships, were struggling. Rob even famously had an intervention when he first began dating and quickly proposed to Blac Chyna. Yet, Kendall is one family member who has yet to receive an intervention. She has been part of them, but never on the receiving end of one. Kendall has always appeared as the rational, mature sister, even though she is the youngest. She has never been one to get into too much trouble or attract too much attention to herself. Her chill vibe is just one of the many reasons we love her.

8 She Ditched Her Last Name

Kendall famously dropped her last name for the sake of her modeling career, which is just one more example of how she's put her career first and differentiated herself from her famous family. When the news broke in summer 2014, she revealed she had been using a single name for some time. The model explained to Us Weekly, “I did it last year at all the castings, too. I only go by my first name [now].” So, officially the model is only known by Kendall, though many news outlets still use her last name because of her famous affiliations. "People didn't want to take a chance on me, I think because I was sort of known," she told Teen Vogue. "They were a little bit on the fence about it. Some people might think that what I've done before made it easier for me to get jobs, but it was actually a disadvantage. I had to work even harder."

7 She Doesn't Post Nude Selfies

Kendall's older sister Kim is infamous for posting nude selfies, especially those that break the Internet. The Kardashians have been criticized relentlessly for using their bodies and hotness as a selling point, but Kendall has never been the type of post overtly racy photos online. She sometimes posts scantily clad photos from photoshoots related to her modeling career, but she has never posted one just for the heck of it. It's refreshing to know all members of the Kardashian Klan don't think you need to post nude selfies to get somewhere. Both Khloe and Kourtney have shared revealing photos online, and Kylie is becoming more adventurous with the types of pictures she shares (she recently posted a topless photo of herself sitting on her boyfriend's lap). While there's nothing wrong with owning your desirability, it's also nice seeing that you don't have to do that in order to be a cool girl.

6 She Doesn't Like Being The Center Of Attention

Kendall has often been called the shy one in the family. She's not as loud or outgoing as her other sisters, although it's clear she still knows how and loves to have a good time every now and then. But Kendall has revealed she doesn't like being the center of attention all of that much. You wouldn't necessarily expect it given the type of work she does, but Kendall isn't as outgoing as you might think. In an interview with Vogue, Kendall reveals she spent a lot of her childhood playing video games, rather than playing with other kids. "I remember crying in my bedroom about the fact that Kylie had so many friends and I didn't [… ]"I love dressing down and having my private life. It's almost, like, empowering to know that no one knows we're sitting here right now. Every day, I have to find a way to escape; I have to go borrow someone else's car… And the second that I feel it getting the better of me, I have to go chill myself out - go take a bath or something to, like, disconnect from it."

5 She Admits To Being A Tomboy

Sure, her career always has her dressed to the nines in designer gowns and expensive makeup, but Kendall Jenner is actually a tomboy! You might be surprised to hear that but it's totally true. That's another reason that she doesn't seem like a Kardashian and it's a pretty cool one too. She has revealed that she isn't your traditional girlie girl and that she actually has a masculine streak to her. In an interview with Vogue, she explains that she didn't realize how much of a tomboy she was until her father, Caitlyn Jenner, transitioned from a man to a woman. She said, “It's super ironic to think about now, but it's something I can thank my dad for how much of a tomboy I was. That's why I think the whole thing - her transition - was really hard for me because I was like, 'But you taught me everything tomboy!'"

4 She Likes To Take Unflattering Selfies

As a model, you need to know what angles work best for you (and what don't). If you were a model, you might think that all of your selfies would be perfectly angled, serious poses that show off your best features, but that's not always the case with Kendall. While she's no stranger to sharing gorgeous photos of herself, the model also likes taking silly photos with her besties and also by herself. This is a testament to her silly nature and ability to laugh at herself -- all qualities we greatly admire. If you follow Kendall on Instagram, you get regular glimpses of her famous silly selfies. From sticking out her tongue to scrunching up her nose, Kendall has totally taken a photo in that pose. Even her most famous Instagram photo- a picture of her with her eyes closed and her long hair positioned into hearts- isn't necessarily silly, but it's not a classic selfie, either. 3 She's Never Had A Real Scandal

We definitely can't count on one hand the amount of scandals Kim has had, let alone the rest of the Kardashian family. From Kim's infamous tape to 72-day marriage and everything in between, the media writes a lot of gossip about the most famous Kardashian child. Khloe had a DUI scandal several years back, and Kourtney has always had problems with Scott. Even Kylie has had her fair share of scandals, from dating Tyga when she was underage to possibly breaking up his relationship with his baby-mama (and now Rob's fiancée), Blac Chyna. Yet Kendall has never really had her name in the tabloids for a bad reason. She's had no relationship drama or career moves gone wrong. Likewise, she's never caught in a compromising situation, like at parties or other red carpet events. Evidently, Kendall is the wholesome Kardashian, and we love that she has such a clean image.

2 She Seems Pretty Mysterious

Since Kendall is so private and relaxed, it makes her come across as mysterious. Kylie Jenner shares tons of Instagram photos and Snapchats with her friends and boyfriend, so it's clear to see who is in her social circle. Aside from the occasional Instagram post about bestie Gigi Hadid, Kendall never posts personal things, so we have no clue who her best buds or new beau are. We don't even know for sure who she's dated, so it's safe to say there's a lot we don't know about Kendall. Even on the reality show, the young model's camera appearances are limited. And, when she is on camera, she often comes across as reserved. But that doesn't diminish her cool factor. If anything, it helps create a mysterious image that has got us hooked. Remaining aloof and distant from the media makes us want to know more about Kendall, thus helping her image without really doing anything at all.

1 She Acts Like A Normal Teenage Girl

Sure, the Kardashians have super lavish lives, but Kendall still finds time to act like a normal teenager. From casual hangouts with friends to sharing snaps about what she's eating, Kendall maintains as normal a life as anyone can in her shoes. Even though she's surrounded by designer duds, celebrity friends, and fancy everything, she's still like us (sort of). The main thing about Kendall is that she seems down to earth. She never seems to care what the haters or media are saying about her, and she's happy going with the flow. It would be easy to get caught up in the extravagance of her lifestyle, but it seems like she still has her feet firm on the ground. The fact that Kendall can still seem like a normal teen girl means she's probably pretty cool to hang out with. We definitely would love to be BFFs with her!
