Kendall Jenner is the most followed model on Instagram in the world - to date she has 68 million followers and counting. When Kendall did a shoot for Spanish Vogue she looked flawless and natural in her ballerina outfit. As part of the promotion for the issue, she also pranced around in a leotard and posed as a ballerina in a dance studio. What should have been harmless fun turned into a huge backlash for the model.
Dance Spirit magazine were so outraged they wrote an entire blog post about the shoot, saying: “The whole thing reads as pretty disrespectful to the artists who devote their lives to this demanding craft.” Another dancer wrote on Twitter: “Kendall Jenner and that Vogue ballet video is so horrible. The post was for a very good cause as she wrote in the caption: “DIFF eyewear is helping to give the gift of sight to those in need. I have teamed up with them to double their donations for every pair sold in the next 24 hours so that we can do even more good together. Although this picture went down a storm, they both received quite the backlash for their front cover on the 10th anniversary art issue of W magazine.
