We've Compiled The 15 Most Insane Celeb Conspiracy Theories
For years, gossip has been the staple fodder for plebeians, irrespective of age and grade. People love a good gossip, or a better conspiracy theory if you may - it is perhaps one of the most prevalent things to keep the entertainment industry and its followers afloat. Without our daily dose of gossip websites and scandal magazines, a lot of us would sure find it paralyzing to exist! And in an age when it's becoming increasingly difficult to separate truth from fiction, you can hardly blame the conspiracy theorists and rumour mills for working round-the-clock on binge-churning to keep up with our growing appetites.
Who is the latest Illuminati recruit among our tinsel town stars? Are reptile aliens really seeking to enchain the human race? Is Jon Snow the true Targaryen heir to the iron throne? You don't really need a foil hat to get on board with such outrageously tall tales now, do you? And as long as there's even the faintest chance of any of these theories being true, it is in our human nature to indulge. While there are far too many of such conspiracy theories to be listed, here are 15 of the most bizarre philosophies that are sure to leave your bonnets swarming with bees.
15 Taylor Swift Is The Clone Of A Satanic Princess

Tay Tay has been accused of running an evil cult - but not by any of her exes! A conspiracy theory that sent the internet into a meltdown claims that Taylor Swift was the leader of the demonic Church of Satan back in the 80s - all credits to her likeness with Zeena Schrek, a former High Priestess in the cult. According to Buzzfeed, Zeena is the daughter of the founder of the Church of Satan, Anton LaVey, and she led the church between 1985 and 1990. The Satanist, surprisingly, sported the same platinum hairstyle as the singer does today, and was often photographed with a similar pout! But apparently, she denounced the church in 1990 and moved to Berlin, where she took up the last name Schrek and started her new life as a magician and mystic.

Soon after Kim K was bound, gagged and robbed at gunpoint at a hotel in Paris, the internet erupted with trolls and conspiracy theories claiming that the 33-year-old reality television star was faking the entire episode for either publicity, insurance or to boost the ratings of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The paparazzi-loving star, however, dissed all these ideas and reportedly described in detail the entire ordeal and all that had been taken from her room. Two diamond Cartier bracelets, a gold and diamond Jacob necklace, Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings and a gold Rolex, were among the other items that Kim reported stolen. “I think they robbed me of five million dollars,” she said, adding, “Then they left on the run.”

Many have claimed for years that Prince Charles is not Harry's real father. It is rumoured that the red-headed, bearded royal bachelor is the son of the late Princess Diana's lover, Officer James Hewitt, whom she admitted to having an affair with during her marriage to Charles. While many have purported, that Prince harry bears a striking physical resemblance to James, the former British officer has vehemently denied the charges for years, maintaining that he met Lady Di when her second son was already a toddler. Speaking on Australian Channel Seven's Sunday Night about the alleged paternity, Hewitt said: “No, I'm not [Harry's father].” When pushed further by the presenter, he said: “It sells papers. It's worse for him, probably, poor chap.”
12 Khloe Kardashian Is OJ Simpson's Daughter

The Kardashians are no strangers to back-fence talks, however not many of their rumours have, till date, outlived the subject of Khloe's pedigree - especially the one theorising that not Rob Kardashian Sr. but OJ Simpson is her real dad. The Kardashian-Simpson close friendship was the triggering force but the buzz continued to spin primarily because the reality star looks so “different” than the rest of her siblings. Additionally, in 2013, Rob Sr.'s wife came forward and claimed that just before his death in 2003, he had confided in her about Khloe not being his biological daughter. The 33-year-old has furiously hit back these claims and trolls alike on Instagram by branding them as “a**holes” and “haters” - which was quite unnecessary because there's an existing DNA report confirming that Rob Sr. indeed was her true biological father.
11 Beyoncé Faked Her Pregnancy
giphy.com
Speculation around Beyoncé's 2011 pregnancy began right after she revealed at the VMAs that year that she was with child. Rumours about a possible surrogacy was also at its peak even though Bey's reps discarded them as “stupid, ridiculous and false”. The conjecture grew legs when it surfaced that she had told the media two different due dates for her baby - the first being February 2012, and then in a separate interview she said it was January 2012. In 2013, however, Beyoncé addressed the reports in her documentary Life Is But A Dream and confirmed that she did in fact have a miscarriage before Blue Ivy, who was born on January 7, 2012. “It's hard to go through public experiences when you are in the public eye because it's hard to have a closure,” she said.
10 Justin Bieber Is A Lizard Person
giphy.com
Justin Bieber was apparently caught shape-shifting into his “reptilian form” while touring Australia - at least that's what hundreds of fans claim to have perceived! Much of the controversy was prompted by an article published (and immediately removed) by Perth Now. The alleged story even claimed that police had been called in by distraught fans, who saw “gross, coloured scales” all over Bieber's body “with a black stripe down the middle” and “big scaly claws” that were “lash(ing) out angrily”. A local skater, claiming to be an eyewitness told the site: “We were just staring because he kept turning into a huge reptile. His bodyguard was pointing at us, shouting that he'd kick our teeth in if we didn't put our phones away.” As if this weren't enough, there's also a site, which claims Bieber is “a member of the dominant reptilian-Illuminati bloodline.”

giphy.com
Lady Gaga has always been a favourite among conspiracy theorists. But this one sure shoots ahead of the rest - apparently the six-time Grammy winner has killed someone, stolen her identity and covered up all evidence. The bizarre internet hoax has even put together a list of “proof” to support this theory. One online forum even claims that Lady Gaga hoped to work as a backing dancer for rising star Lina Morgana, but in a bitter act of jealousy she pushed Lina off a building in order to steal her fame. Some have gone a step further and concluded that Lady Gaga has been leaving subconscious messages in some of her music videos to sooth her conscience against the treason she has committed.
8 Kanye's Car Accident Never Happened
giphy.com
It wasn't until his single “Through The Wire” that Kanye West truly debuted as a rapper in his own right. Earlier, he was just a behind-the-scene producer, making beats for Jay-Z and the likes and that is why some people think that the 2002-song that catapulted West to fame has a different history than the one widely known. The track was apparently inspired by a near-fatal accident that the rapper was a part of, which left his jaw wired shut (hence the title). The truth behind this was however, called into question when a Twitter user from Chicago insisted that West was making the accident story up to conceal the fact that he was viciously beaten up in Chicago. But in West's defence, there was enough proof that the crash took place in Los Angeles, thereby putting all rumours to rest.
7 Princess Diana Was Murdered
giphy.com
This is one of the most widely circulated theories around Princess Diana's death and even has several claims backing the possibility. According to some people, Prince Philip had organised the British Secret Service, MI6, to murder his wife and her lover Dodi Fayed, and stage it like a crash. The apparent motive was deduced to be the fact that Diana may have been pregnant with Fayed's child and was preparing to come out about their commitment. Unsurprisingly, this would not have gone down well with the British Royalty, given Fayed was an Egyptian Muslim and not a Christian. What more, this notion was actually reinforced in parts by Fayed's father, Mohammad Al-Fayed, leading to a British inquest in 2008. Nevertheless, a jury ruled Diana and Fayed's deaths as “unlawful killing” by driver Henri Paul, who was driving under influence and also died in the mishap.
6 Keanu Reeves Is Immortal
giphy.com
There is actually a website that goes by keanuisimmortal.com, claiming that the actor is 150 years old and is in reality Charlemagne, who supposedly died in 814, and Paul Mounet, a French actor, who is said to have died in 1922. Aided by the fact that Reaves hardly seems to have aged, the forum has raked up several “facts” that without any reasonable doubt show that the actor is these people! And, apart from the actor's striking resemblance with both these men, there is also the point that Mounet's body was never found! However, when the topic was breached on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Reaves was particularly taken in by the similarity. “I can see we have a likeness in the eyes, and the nose… and the moustache, and the beard, and the cheekbones, and the forehead” - was all that he had to say!
5 Lewis Carroll Was Jack The Ripper
giphy.com
One of the first suspicions against Lewis Carroll being the notorious serial killer arose when the author chose to name the title character of his novel Alice in Wonderland, as he did! Because, Alice, also happened to be the name of one of the women murdered by the infamous Jack The Ripper. The theory was proposed in a book titled, Jack the Ripper, Light-Hearted Friend, by Richard Wallace in 1996. It was based primarily on a number of anagrams derived from Carroll's writing style - especially the leaving out of letters and words to make the passages flowy is very similar to the way The Ripper wrote his letters to the police and newspapers. Also, Carroll published his first works around 1889 - and, the Ripper murders were at their peak between 1888-1891!
4 Stephen King Killed John Lennon
giphy.com
This is one of the most bizarre and complicated conspiracy models, but it is no less funny. Theorist Steve Lightfoot genuinely believes that the famous horror author, Stephen King, is the one to have shot and killed Beatles member John Lennon. He is also sanguine that former US presidents, Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan, were parts of this extravagant ploy. To justify his claims, the man even has a website that goes by lennonmurdertruth.com where he has put together a collection of “evidence” for the world to see. According to Lightfoot, confessions by King come under the pretext of phrases in interviews and in his books, as well as through his characters like Johnny, in The Dead Zone, who decided to assassinate a political figure.
3 Elvis Presley Is Alive
giphy.com
Elvis Presley died on August 16, 1977, in the toilet of his Graceland home in Memphis, Tennessee - distressing the music industry and devastating millions of fans worldwide. However, in the days following his funeral, fanciful musings grew among a band of his followers that the Rock King may not be dead after all, and that he was faking the entire episode to get away from the limelight into a life of hiding. Over the past four decades, fans across North America have claimed to have spotted the music sensation out and about. In 1989, three Elvis-enthusiasts even developed The Elvis Sighting Society to oversee these seeming occurrences. Apart from the believed sightings, some also insist that the apparent misspelling of the King's middle name (Aaron instead of Aron) on his tombstone is proof enough of a cover-up.
2 Courtney Love Killed Kurt Cobain
giphy.com
After Kurt Cobain's demise, among the many possibilities gyrating around his death, this one had the maximum believers because Courtney Love's involvement in her husband's passing, somehow seemed to be of utmost comfort for a certain fringe of Nirvana fans. But startlingly, it is Love's father's involvement in this conspiracy theory that makes it difficult to brush off. Speaking to Radar, Hank Harrison claimed that his book, Love Kills: The Assassination of Kurt Cobain, will prove how Love was closely involved with the singer's death. “No doubt she was capable. I can't prove she was capable but I can prove her involvement to a high degree of certainty.” He even mentioned that the police were too quick to conclude that his death was a suicide, thereby closing doors for further investigations.
1 Nicolas Cage Is A Vampire
giphy.com
It all started when a Civil War era photo of a man, who bears a spooky resemblance to Nicolas Cage, started doing the rounds, inspiring stories that the actor might be a real-life vampire. Though Cage has starred in Vampire Kiss and played a satanic role in Ghost Rider, most of us would like to suppose that his association with the blood-sucking sorts would end there, but not Jack Mord - the antique dealer, who posted the 1870-photograph for sale on eBay, claiming that the man in the picture could be no one, but Cage. He also said that Cage “reinvents himself once every 75 years or so.” The hullaballoo was so bad that the actor had to go on The Late Show With David Letterman to deny all claims.
