15 Celebs Who Aren't Nicki Minaj Fans
We all know that Nicki Minaj is a rapper, singer, songwriter, and actress… but she's also a magnet for all things drama. The star is definitely known for having a larger than life persona, both on stage and in real life. Nicki is definitely no stranger to all-out brawls and has been guilty of sparking a number of celeb feuds over the years. Always outspoken, she never bites her tongue when it comes to dishing out disses. Nicki has proven that she's a force to be reckoned with, and she won't sit back and take it when someone comes at her swinging. Nicki is armed with a serious attitude and she's one star whose bad side we wouldn't ever want to be on. Of course, she's got millions of fans all over the world, but she has definitely managed to earn herself a long list of star-studded celebrity enemies along the way. We know you want to hear all about the madness and mayhem, so here are 15 celebs who totally aren't Nicki Minaj fans.
15 Mariah Carey
Everyone knows that Nicki Minaj has displayed some serious diva-like behavior, but even she should have known Mariah Carey is the ultimate and original diva and shouldn't be messed with. Nicki and Mariah were both judges on American Idol in 2012. The two stars weren't always at odds: they collaborated on a song back in 2010. During the course of the show, rumors were flying that Minaj was exhibiting poor behavior and was clashing with pretty much everyone on set, including the one and only Mariah Carey. Tension between the women escalated even further when a video was leaked of Nicki Minaj lashing out about Mariah while taping the audition rounds of the show. Minaj was quoted saying, "I told them, I'm not f---ing putting up with her f---ing highness over there” and the video quickly went viral. They were still obligated to finish filming the show and Mariah told the press that she had to hire additional security and that she never received an apology. Nicki's reasoning for her beef with the superstar? That Mariah wanted to be the only female judge on the show and didn't want anyone to steal her shine. It was a classic she said/she said scenario, but both artists quit the show simultaneously in 2013. Reports have said that their feud was never actually resolved, and it's super safe to say that Mariah and Nicki won't be working together again anytime soon. Or, well, ever.
14 Demi Lovato
Both Demi Lovato and Nicki Minaj are known for speaking their minds, and sometimes when you combine two bold personalities, it becomes a recipe for total disaster. It all started at the 2016 Met Gala when Demi found herself in an awkward photo with Nicki and designer Jeremy Scott (the creator behind both of their looks for the night). Just take one look at the picture and you will be super uncomfortable because Minaj is giving Demi some serious side-eye. Lovato reposted the image to Instagram with the caption “This picture pretty much summed up my first and probably last Met." Things were relatively calm until Nicki posted the same photo to her social media and failed to tag her in the post. Feeling snubbed, Demi took to Snapchat and said, “When you aren't mentioned in a post but didn't do s-t to the person.” Clearly, Demi harbors some pretty negative feelings toward Nicki for not mentioning her on social media. We don't know if there was anything else that Nicki did to push Demi's buttons, but one thing we do know is that Demi is definitely not a fan of Nicki's.
13 Taylor Swift
It seems like Taylor Swift has unwillingly become Hollywood's go-to girl when it comes to celebrity feuds, but Nicki Minaj had beef with her long before Kanye and Kim got in on any of the action. Nicki got pretty upset at the fact that her video was not nominated for “Video of the Year” at the 2015 MTV VMA's, while Swift was nominated (and won) in that category. Minaj released a series of heated subliminal tweets that blamed racism for her not receiving a nom, and Taylor took her tweets as a personal attack. Swift responded to Minaj by saying that she has done nothing but support her and that she is only putting “women against each other” by starting something with Swift. Minaj was quick to say that her initial set of tweets weren't directed at Taylor (although you can be the judge of that). Taylor followed by saying that she thought she “was being called out” and said that she had “misspoke." The two teamed up for a surprise performance at the VMAs that same year, and though it appeared that their feud had been debunked, there's little doubt that Taylor blames Nicki for making her look really bad in a public forum. Whether or not they are fans of each other these days remains unknown, but we're pretty sure they're not besties.
12 Miley Cyrus
Nicki Minaj likes to pick fights with just about everyone, so it's no surprise that even Miley Cyrus was not spared from the rapper's wrath during the 2015 VMA's where Miley was hosting. Prior to the big day of the show, an interview was published where Miley referred to Nicki as simply “not too kind” in regard to her feud with fellow songstress, Taylor Swift. While Cyrus was just stating her opinion, Minaj didn't take what she said lightly. When Nicki went on the VMA stage to accept the award for “Best Hip-Hop Video”, she used her brief moment in the spotlight to call Miley out in front of everyone. During her speech, Minaj said, "Now, back to this b---h that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley what's good!?" Clearly flustered but trying to keep cool in the face of adversity, Miley responded by saying “We all do interviews. And we all know how they manipulate." It's super clear that Miley isn't a fan of Nicki Minaj after the rapper publicly called her out and continued to drag her name through the mud in interviews after the award show.
11 Lil Kim
Cher is a pop culture phenomenon and her singing and acting career spans across multiple decades, but even that wasn't enough to shield her from a war of words with Nicki Minaj. It all went down in 2011 when a line in a song on Nicki's Pink Friday that referenced Cher was presumably taken out of context. In the track, Minaj rapped,”If you could turn back time--Cher/You used to be here but now you gone-Nair." Cher found out about this from one of her fans tweeting her, and Cher let Minaj have a piece of her mind. Cher tweeted, “I've seen lots of people come & go! No biggie!” and it caused a ruckus for Nicki's fans across the globe, who began insulting the singing legend. One of Nicki's friends and employees told Cher to read the lyrics before she says “dumb” stuff and then asked if she knew what a rap metaphor was. Cher ended up apologizing via Twitter, but Nicki's followers kept harassing her. Nicki eventually spoke up and tweeted that Cher needed to "#stopit."
9 Drake
Let's be super clear: once upon a time, Drake was crazy in love with Nicki Minaj, and he even rapped about how he wanted to marry her. All seemed well for Drake and Nicki back then, but fast forward to 2016, and Drake admits that they're aren't on speaking terms anymore. So where exactly did things go wrong for Nicki and Drake? It all stems back to last year when Drake was in a very public spat with Nicki's boyfriend, rapper Meek Mill. Drake and Nicki's lover kept dissing each other in their raps, leaving Minaj to choose sides between her BF and her BFF. Nicki chose to stand by her man, leaving Drake in the dust. While Drake is quick to shut down rumors that there is any bad blood between him and Minaj, it's super apparent that they aren't on good terms because they have cut off communication all together. It's nice that he's being respectful of his feelings on Nicki in the public eye, but if you read between the lines you will clearly see that Drake is no longer Nicki's number one fan.
8 Farrah Abraham
Farrah Abraham, of 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom fame, has practically made a career out of the publicity she generates from her feuds. This particular battle started when Nicki was binge-watching a few episodes of Teen Mom and tweeted her thoughts on Abraham's bad behavior. Minaj pointed out that Farrah treats her mother very badly (using much more explicit language, of course). The fight between the two women only escalated and it was pretty gruesome, with each girl saying the most insulting things they could possibly think of. Minaj stood by her stance that Farrah was completely ungrateful for her mother's help in raising her young daughter, Sophia. In response, Farrah released a short video of her daughter calling Minaj a “total loser." (ouch, talk about taking it too far). It is one thing to go at it with someone on Twitter, but bringing a child into an adult matter is just plain wrong.
7 Azealia Banks
Rapper Azealia Banks has come at Nicki on numerous occasions. Banks called out Nicki for her VMA attacks on Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift when she tweeted to Nicki, “How you gonna complain about a video with skinny women when your body is enhanced… you too were once a skinny woman.” Banks went even further talking about Minaj's surgical enhancements and even talked how Nicki is playing “the victim” card. Banks has probably been in more pointless feuds than Nicki ever has, but things got especially sour between the dueling rappers when Banks claimed that she was invited to go on a European tour with Nicki but had to work on her album. Nicki said Banks was “delirious”. Yup… we are very confident that these two controversial ladies are not fans of each other and will continue to battle it out about absolutely nothing for many years to come.
6 Gucci Mane
In possibly one of the strangest and most confusing squabbles yet, rapper Gucci Mane got himself into a Twitter battle for the ages when he tweeted a series of defamatory comments about Nicki Minaj. The two rap stars used to be close friends and Nicki even went as far to say that Gucci was “like a brother” to her. Things took a turn for the worst in 2013 when he released an onslaught of lewd, crude, and downright slanderous tweets saying that he and Nicki used to hook up. Gucci Mane even tweeted (and then deleted) explicit photos of Minaj (that appeared to be photoshopped) to further prove his point. We're not exactly sure what prompted Gucci Mane to let loose on Nicki in the first place, but she was quick to shut down each and every one of his false accusations. Gucci later issued an apology for his inexplicable actions, but you already know that he and Nicki definitely aren't on good terms after that horrible fallout.
5 Tyga
While some celebs like to keep the bad blood they have with fellow artists out of the media, Tyga apparently likes to air out his dirty laundry for the entire world to see. In a 2014 interview with Vibe, Tyga made it super clear that he's not a Nicki Minaj fan. The rapper was quoted saying, “I don't really get along with Nicki” when asked about the relationship he has with his fellow label-mates. He followed up by saying, I think being signed to Young Money, everybody felt like they had to force a relationship 'cause [Lil] Wayne put us together. At the end of the day, the reason why I signed to Young Money is because of Wayne. Not because of Drake, not because of Nicki." His honest stance is a breath of fresh air, though we would love to know more about the real reason behind why he and Nicki aren't on good terms. He said it himself: they just don't mesh and he's not a fan.
4 Kylie Jenner
After finding out that Nicki Minaj and Tyga are at odds, it's no surprise that Nicki threw Kylie into the line of fire. Earlier this year, Nicki Minaj took a jab at Kylie in one of her raps, comparing the reality star's trademark pout to her own female anatomy. If you're thinking “what?!” then don't worry, we're just as confused as you are. Minaj referred to Kylie directly in the song with the line “Kylie what's good?”. She took it a step further and took a shot at Kylie's controversial relationship with Tyga, who was rumored to have been dating Kylie long before she was of legal age. In her music video for the song “Feeling Myself” featuring Beyonce, Nicki wore a jersey with “pervert” on the front… with the number seventeen (Kylie's age at the time). While Nicki doesn't directly reference Kylie or Tyga, lots of people believe that it was a subtle dig at their relationship. Reports say Kylie was upset about Nicki's disses, and we think it's safe to assume the obvious: Kylie Jenner definitely is not a Nicki Minaj fan.
3 Lil Mama
Nicki Minaj has had tense moments with several rappers throughout her career, and Lil Mama can definitely be added to that growing list. Lil Mama has been pretty vocal over the years about how she expects someone of Nicki's stature to be more inclusive when it comes to other female rappers. Being a female in the world of rap is no easy task and it's undoubtedly a tough career to break into, so we understand her reasoning behind wanting more of a sisterhood. But honestly, Lil Mama isn't doing herself any favors by taking Nicki to task on a recent rap track. Lil Mama raps freestyle over Drake's “4 PM in Calabasas” track, and many believe that she mentions Minaj without actually mentioning her. The lines that caused a ruckus are, “I be hearing you talkin' crazy, but you really is buns / So when you talk, talk politely / And when you tread, tread lightly cause the ice getting thinner." While those lyrics may seem innocent enough, many have reason to believe otherwise. We're not really sure what to think about that verse, but we are sure of one thing: Lil Mama is not a member of Nicki's fan club.
2 Safaree Samuels
We've all had some pretty bad breakups, but the one between Nicki and Safaree Samuels might just win them all. Record producer Safaree Samuels used to be the longtime boyfriend of Nicki Minaj… until they broke up and all bets were off. The pair dated for an impressive 12 years before calling it quits in 2014. Nicki eventually moved on with fellow rapper Meek Mill, but that wouldn't be the last she heard of her scorned ex. Samuels and Mill battled it out in rap and in the media, and earlier this year Nicki was served with a lawsuit filed by her former flame. Nicki tweeted her frustration about the whole situation. Nicki accused Samuels of not allowing her to move on and be happy with her life and her new relationship. It's obvious that these two are in for a long, hard road, and we know that judging by his recent lawsuit, Safaree Samuels is absolutely not a Nicki Minaj fan anymore.
1 Iggy Azalea
Can't we all just get along? Apparently not for Iggy Azalea and Nicki Minaj who have been in a long-standing showdown for years. The earliest sign of conflict between the two rappers dates back to 2010 when a then-unknown Iggy threw shade at Minaj for claiming to have performed live at the BET Awards that same year. Then they went further and accused each other of not writing their own raps. Things escalated even further when a video was released where Iggy's then-fiance, Nick Young, gleefully admitted to cheating on her. The rumor mill was swirling with stories of how Nicki Minaj and her camp was somehow the responsible ones for the release of the footage as a way to retaliate against Iggy. We're not sure how much truth there is to any of those rumors, or if Nicki Minaj really is the evil mastermind some claim she is, but we are sure of at least one thing: Iggy Azalea and Nicki Minaj have never liked each other. And Iggy probably won't be joining Nicki on tour or in the studio anytime soon because she's totally not a fan.
