15 Newly Famous Celebs And Their Surprising Doppelgängers
There are the classic examples of celebrity lookalikes: Bryce Dallas Howard & Jessica Chastain, Zoey Deschanel & Katy Perry, Elijah Wood & Daniel Radcliffe, and Leelee Sobieski & Helen Hunt but it feels like there are more lookalikes on TV than ever. It's hard to even flip through the channels without seeing fifteen red-haired girls who look exactly the same. Plus, there is much more TV and so many more movies now than there has ever been which means that there is a need for a lot of actors and actresses. And they expect us to all be able to tell them apart? Really? Since almost anyone can be a celebrity nowadays, it can be difficult to find a unique look that makes you stand out from the crowd. While there are some famous or formerly famous celebs who have had their looks stolen out from under them, such as Orlando Bloom and Luke Evans, there are some celebs who have borrowed a look from a well-known celebrity and tweaked it to make it their own such as Brie Larson with Veronica Lake. But forget, for a moment, all of those classic celebrity doppelgängers and take a look at some of these brand new celebs in Hollywood. You may be surprised at how similar they look to some of Hollywood's big (and some not so big) stars.
15 Asa Butterfield and Freddie Highmore
Freddie Highmore won our hearts as Charlie in Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but he has since gone from playing kind-hearted characters from our childhood to playing one of Hollywood's most notorious killers in A&E's Bates Motel. Like Highmore, Butterfield first arrived on the scene in a children's film helmed by a legendary director, in Asa's case it was in Martin Scorsese's Hugo. Highmore was lucky enough to find success as an adult actor with the role of Norman Bates in the reimagining of Hitchcock's Psycho but Butterfield may not be so lucky. Butterfield appeared as Ender in Ender's Game which turned out to be a flop but he also, like Highmore, starred in a Tim Burton film based on a children's novel so there may be hope for him yet. Butterfield bears a remarkable resemblance to a young Highmore due to his big blue eyes and dark hair.
14 Lili Reinhart and Brittany Snow
Lili Reinhart has recently gotten her first big break as Betty Cooper in The CW's Riverdale alongside the newest teenage heartthrob Cole Sprouse as Jughead. Sprouse, of course, is known for the show he appeared in alongside his twin brother Dylan, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Reinhart, however, has few additions to her resume besides the hugely successful Riverdale. Brittany Snow, on the other hand, is known for her work in Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2 but she also has a good deal of movie work under her belt such as the teenage cult classic John Tucker Must Die, The Pacifier, Would You Rather, and Hairspray. But, to be fair, Snow is ten years older than the Riverdale actress so Reinhart has some time to catch up. You have to admit, these two almost play the same type of characters too, it is scary almost!
13 Jane Levy and Holland Roden
Ever since Emma Stone became Hollywood's biggest It Girl in the past several years, red-headed actresses with milky skin and big eyes have been popping up everywhere on TV and in the movies. Jane Levy is one of the many actresses to follow in Stone's footsteps. Her first big role was in ABC's Suburgatory but it was canceled after it's first season despite having fairly good reviews and a small but dedicated following. Holland Roden's first big break was also on TV, as Lydia in the enormously popular MTV show Teen Wolf. The two have also starred in a horror film, Levy in Don't Breathe and Holland in House of Dust. They're bound to be popping up in more films in the future, horror films are just the jumping off point for new actresses. Also, if Emma Stone is any indication, the two definitely both have the makings of a big star.
12 Billie Lord and Twiggy
Though it might seem obvious to list Billie Lord along with her mother, the late Carrie Fischer or even her grandmother, the late Debbie Reynolds but the Scream Queens actress bares such a remarkable resemblance to Twiggy in her photoshoot with Bello that it seemed unfair to not mention the likeness. And now that we pointed it out your brain kind of exploded. right? Lord has the same big eyes and thin frame as the iconic "mod" model of the 60s and it also helps that her hair and eyelashes are styled similarly. Twiggy was known during the 1960s for her thin frame after much of the decade was dominated by curvaceous models and actresses. Lord also looks very much like her mother during her cameo appearance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens in which she is wearing a bun on each side of her head just like Princess Leia before her. Like mother like daughter.
11 Natalie Dyer and Crystal Reed
The combined bone structure of these two young beautiful actresses is, for lack of a better word, intense. The two's most obvious similarity is their face shapes and strong jaw but they also have an intense stare and big, beautiful eyes. Oh, and they also play teenagers on their TV. Natalie Dyer plays a high schooler named Nancy in Netflix's popular series Stranger Things (which you should have already known) while Crystal Reed's first big role was as a high schooler named Allison in MTV's Teen Wolf who wins the heart of Scott McCall played by the subject of many a teenage crush, Tyler Posey. They both play the quiet yet aggressive bookworm students with ginger best friends on their respective TV shows. Hopefully Nancy has a better fate on Stranger Things than Allison on Teen Wolf or her best friend Barb, for that matter. Poor Barb.
10 Dylan Minnette and Logan Lerman
The fact that Dylan Minnette and Logan Lerman look alike has become somewhat of a joke on the internet since Minnette starred in Netflix's 13 Reasons Why and people suddenly realized that the two actors are actually completely different people. Minnette only added fuel to the flames when he tweeted, "Alright, April fools; I AM Logan Lerman." Not only is he cute but he also has a sense of humor! It's understandable that they are often confused because they both have the same side-swept dark hair and beautiful blue eyes. Plus they both have primarily starred in YA TV shows and movies. Minnette starred in Goosebumps and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day while Lerman starred in the Percy Jackson movies and Perks of Being a Wallflower. Minnette's big breakout was in the hugely successful 13 Reasons Why and he is winning hearts left and right with those deep blue eyes.
9 Paris Jackson and Madonna
It definitely helps that Paris Jackson here is styled much like Madonna in her breakout role in Desperately Seeking Susan but no one can deny the striking similarities between the young model and the legendary Queen of Pop from the thick dark eyebrows to the red lipstick. During Jackson's first photo shoot for Chanel in Paris, she gave off major Madonna vibes and the images may cause you to do a double-take. Jackson also appeared on the cover of Bazaar looking eerily similar to the famous singer. Since Madonna famously dated Michael Jackson briefly in 1991, there are some "Madonna-truthers" out there who believe that Madonna is actually Paris' biological mother but, unfortunately, that is not the case (can you imagine!). Her mother is actually Debbie Rowe, a nurse who married Jackson in 1996. This Madonna conspiracy may be a ridiculous rumor but it's not the most outlandish rumor in Hollywood.
8 China Anne McClain and Zendaya
These two beautiful Disney stars look like they could be sisters and the two even refer to each other as "SisterSwag" on Instagram because they are best friends! China Anne McClain is the star of Disney's A.N.T. Farm and Zendaya guest starred on an episode. Zendaya also starred in the Disney show Shake It Up so the two have a lot in common. Though the two look like twins, McClain actually has two sisters, Lauryn and Sierra, and the three of them form a pop group called the McClain Sisters. The three sisters also starred in Tyler Perry's Daddy's Little Girls starring Idris Elba and Gabrielle Union. The McClain sisters have definitely been busy considering they are all under the age of 23! Though Zendaya isn't widely known right now, she will be soon since she is starring in Spider-Man: Homecoming later this summer.
7 Grant Gustin and John Mulaney
These two men definitely have very different job descriptions but they sure do look alike. Just look at their eyes, it is almost like some decided to copy paste them onto one of their faces! Grant Gustin plays Barry Allen in The Flash on The CW while John Mulaney is a stand-up comedian and former writer for Saturday Night Live. Mulaney has also starred in his own show simply titled Mulaney which was canceled after one season, which, to be fair, was probably for the best since it did not exactly match Mulaney's comedic sensibilities. However, Mulaney has a very successful stand-up career and is going on a new tour, Kid Gorgeous, this year. Gustin has made a name for himself as a young super hero like many actors before him but he has also known from his appearance on Glee. Cute and he can sing! We will take it.
6 Maia Mitchell and Hailee Steinfeld
Maia Mitchell may be far from superstardom but she has had a fairly successful career for her young age of 20 after starring in the Teen Beach Movies and the popular Freeform show The Fosters. Hailee Steinfeld, on the other hand, has seen a bit more success as both an actress and a pop star. Steinfeld first appeared in Hollywood as Mattie Ross in True Grit alongside Jeff Bridges in 2010. She was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance. She also has a fairly successful music career after releasing the album Haiz in 2015. Seriously, we just can't get enough of her music! She starred in a film for the first time in The Edge of Seventeen, a little-known film from 2016 that has a small but devout following. Mitchell and Steinfeld both have the same long hair and dark brown eyes that make them look very similar.
5 Lilly Collins and Jennifer Connelly
It's pretty obvious what these two movie stars have in common: eyebrows. Not only is it the women's most obvious collective feature, it's also probably the most important feature for all women. Most women know the long and painstaking hours spent in front of the mirror trying to get both eyebrows to arch exactly the same way. The architecture of Jennifer Connelly's eyebrows are legendary and Lily Collins is following in the footsteps of Hollywood and eyebrow royalty. Lily Collins' mother Jill Tavelman is blonde so it's obvious that she gets her dark features from her father Phil Collins! Though you may not know it considering Collins has long since lost his dark hair. There are also many who believe Collins to be the spitting image of Audrey Hepburn after she was styled like the actress from her various films such as Sabrina and Roman Holiday for Tatler Magazine in 2012.
4 Melissa Benoist and Brie Larson
Speaking of super heroes, Melissa Benoist who stars in The CW's Super Girl looks very much like Brie Larson who is set to play Captain Marvel in the upcoming movie. Like Grant Austin, Benoist also appeared in Glee but she has had a short but successful film career. She appeared in the critically-acclaimed film Whiplash and Danny Collins. Brie Larson starred in her first film, a small Disney movie called Right on Track and then eventually aged Kate in The United States of Tara, a short-lived but critically acclaimed Showtime series. Larson had her big break when she starred in Room and her performance earned her an Academy Award for best actress. The current super hero and upcoming super hero look very similar thanks to their long blonde hair and big smiles. It's a good thing that Super Girl is from the DC Universe and Captain Marvel is from Marvel because if they appeared in the same movie, it would be hard to tell them apart.
3 Kiernan Shipka and Emma Watson
Kiernan Shipka and Emma Watson are two child actors with the same long, thin faces, dark eyebrows, and brown eyes. Shipka is known from her work on Mad Men in which she plays Don Draper's daughter, Sally. Considering she is only 17 years old, she has been fairly successful as an actor. She appeared in Feud as Bette Davis' daughter and as Kimmy Schmidt's step-sister in The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Watson is known for her portrayal of Hermione in the Harry Potter series which is one of the most successful franchises in cinematic history. Watson, who was once a frizzy haired child actor, grew up to be a beautiful movie star and recently starred as Belle in Beauty and the Beast and also starred in The Circle alongside Tom Hanks. If Shipka plays her cards right, she could be enjoying the same success as Watson since she is equally as talented.
2 Hayley Bennet and Jennifer Lawrence
You may remember Haley Bennet from her appearance as the fictional pop star Cora Corman in the vastly underrated film Music & Lyrics who performs the song Buddha's Delight in front of a stunned Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. Bennet has also recently starred in The Girl on the Train. Jennifer Lawrence, on the other hand, has become an international box office sensation after starring as Katniss in The Hunger Games then in a string of films from the well-known director David O. Russel including Silver Linings Playbook for which she received an Academy Award for best actress. Lawrence has recently starred in Passengers alongside Chris Pratt and is said to be filming a new film directed by Darren Aronofsky, her rumored boyfriend. Bennet and Lawrence both have the same blonde hair, facial structure, and are around the same age. Though they do not look exactly the same, the two could definitely pass as sisters.
1 Zoey Deutch ans Ellen Paige
Zoey Deutch is yet another Disney star on the list and while you may not recognize her, you would probably recognize her mother Lea Thompson who is known for playing Marty McFly's mom in Back to the Future. Talk about Hollywood royalty! Like her mother, not only is she an actress but she has the same rosy cheeks and dark features. These features are also similar to Ellen Page. Page, as you probably already know, made her first big appearance in the Academy Award-winning film Juno alongside Michael Cera and has enjoyed a successful film career since then. She appeared in Inception, Whip It (a very, very underrated movie), X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Netflix's Tallulah. Deutch also starred in the the film adaptation of the popular YA novel Before I Fall. These two have very similar top half features, you can almost confuse them if you look at their pictures quickly!
